dm29 presents: Ready, Set, Go! (Patreon)

I still use my WearOS Bluey watch face because I'm a narcissist, but lately a bunch of dogs lazing around asleep on carpets no longer suit my "needing to be more active" lifestyle, so I put together a new one.

Ready, Set, Go! is my next upcoming WearOS watch face to be released on itch․io.

The art and design is based on the racing scene from Obstacle Course, and has a skewed digital numerical face, all of which had to be image-based as a Bitmap font as Samsung's Watch Face Studio can't skew fonts.

The result is a nice perspective effect over the animated streaks that adds to the speed, which is great because Bluey and her family appears static. Putting too much animated objects into the face drains the battery.

Aside from Bandit and Bluey, Chilli and Bingo will be included as interchangeable characters, as well as a easter eggy Cheetah Chase. Watch (hurhur watch) the daytime background fade into the night while you track your heart rate, etc.

I intend to release Ready, Set, Go! soon after I release the Bingo Cheetah dm29Draws video. Please look forward to it.
