The common belief is that "Waltzing Matilda", with its true blue Aussie tone, is the official Australian national anthem. That title goes to "Advance Australia Fair", a patriotic song first performed in 1878.

This song became the official anthem, twice, replacing "God Save The Queen", twice, in 1974, and 1984. The national anthem officially had one line in its lyrics updated in 2021, referenced in the title of this piece, to better recognise the legacy of the Indigenous Australians.
