If you follow more than just me on this platform, you may have noticed that some Creator pages have that newer look, while other fossils like me prefer the old look that's "no frills, straight to the point, give me the feed".

But it's definitely looking like this will be the way forward and there's a good chance, like most services on the worldwide web, that design choices can be made permanent on a whim.

I've been resistant to making this change, because I like my banner not being clouded by a layer of war-crime gas.

But at the same time, I prefer to have some semblance of control instead of finding out one day that Patreon is making this aesthetic upgrade mandatory. I've also been playing around with the algorithm that determines the colour of the fart and I guess I'm okay with this look.

But I'd like to make it your decision, fellow patrons. The new features and all that don't really matter to me, but I'd prefer to be ahead of the pack. The one thing that annoys me is the lack of an immediate feed when landing on my page. The feed has been moved to a separate page, so it still does exist, and all you have to do is update your bookmarks.

And I guess I could take this chance update some of the important pages like the pinned post and the description of this Patreon. But what do you guys think?

I wouldn't expect your existing patrons to be too bothered by whatever banner you use. But would it make a difference in attracting new patrons? I feel that the existing banner is more colorful and fun and better represents your aesthetic. You've got a new banner ready if/when this change becomes mandatory, but I'd hold onto the existing layout as long as possible.
