Something on my to-draw list a while ago I decided to do this weekend: a mechanic girl OC, that combines character attributes I like with tropes of sci-fi, engineering, cyberpunk, and robots. Thankfully, the venn diagram for both sets have a pretty nice overlap.

Josephine gave me an opportunity to try out a new style too. And it starts with the eyes. Always the eyes. The most annoying part of the process to me. The rest of her stems from my experience drawing Scott Pilgrim characters and big women capable of standing their ground.

Big Girl!

She's stocky and voluptuous, with a prosthetic right arm and a scar on her left cheek. A tattoo on her left arm as allegiance to her corporate paymasters, Satoshi Industries.

Lore!

No lore quite yet. Just the idea of a 31-year-old girl working for some sci-fi tech conglomerate in the year 2084, and the antics that come with working in a cyberpunk, semi-dystopian world with your corpo-assigned virtual assistant, VNSSA, fulfilling every work order of the day that comes in.

I don't quite have a use for this OC yet, or if anything else will come out of it aside from pin-ups and things that catch my fancy. Maybe short one-off comics, or at most, a visual novel?!??!?

So for now, I've got a new OC, and I hope you guys love her as much as I do.
