I have learned a valuable lesson when it comes to drawing guns: Just make up some fantasy bullshit and let the gun nuts tire themselves out over it.

Have every weapon look ridiculously large and chunky, so the gun nuts will go bananas about 'safety' and that you're making them all look bad when they're used to casually taunt with just the one hand like this guy is doing. Then wind them up even more explaining they all shoot futuristic 'laser bullets' or some other Loony Toons shit.
