Upcoming Schedule (Patreon)

Hi, all.I just wanted to take the moment to post about a bit of a wonky schedule over the next few weeks.

I will not be updating the comic this week. Today's my birthday, but that's not the main reason for it. I've recently switched sleep medications, and because of it, I haven't been sleeping very well. As many of you know, I have really bad insomnia. I almost always have to drug myself just to sleep. Even with drugs, I'll sometimes go weeks without being able to sleep. So this makes me just really tired. This also makes it so I might not be working on the comic either.

The reason that I am not posting despite this, I've run out of buffer. It was just bad timing that these things all happened at the same time. I will see about posting some commissions and maybe other images for you at least.

Next week (July 19-25), I hope we will be back on schedule.The week after (July 26-Aug 1) is buffer rebuild week, so no comics then either.

And the week after that is the anniversary of my dad's passing that has caused my immediate family's life to really struggle the past year. I figure I shouldn't update just in case my mom needs me. That will be a secondary buffer build week.

On a similarly unpleasant note, my mom is hemorrhaging money. With the death of my dad, she's getting a lot less money from social security and she's too old to work. I've had to spent several thousand dollars trying to help her out. Normally, on my own, without having to pay for anything else, I make enough to live comfortably. With this situation with my mom and her unpaid debts, I don't.

And let's be frank, the Kaerwyn comic is the biggest timesink I have and it brings in the least money. It's not sustainable right now. As much as the comic is a labor of love, it takes up job time and free time to work on it. I've been trying to figure out what to do. But the answer keeps coming back to having to reduce the amount of comics I post per week and take in more commissions instead.

I'm not changing anything yet, but I wanted to give you guys a head's up. I'll be posting this in various places hoping maybe I can get more people to sub, but this is income that is difficult to rely on.

If you know anyone that might like the comic, please spread the word. I really appreciate everything you guys have done for me and helping to keep the comic going. I'm still treading water here, and not giving up yet.
