There were at least three visual cues in the previous chapter that I picked up on as something amiss; being absent for most of the fracas, the first thing she does upon returning being to pocket the ritual ring, and seeming so impassive at the burning tavern and at Endy blowing his own brains out. And when she went Kaetif just now, that really raised suspicions, why would she be so quick and forthcoming to reveal that to everyone - it couldn't just be for the tail gag.
