Man, that's like saying "no one's allowed to take a vacation!"

Maybe you shouldn't visit mortal realms because YOU'RE ALL GODDAMN TERRIBLE AT IT!

I'm genuinely confused as to why you push this narrative so hard.

Douglas Adams' First Law of Storytelling. "DOCTOR:Why do you always assume the worst? ROMANA: Because it usually happens. DOCTOR: Empirical poppycock. Where's your joy in life? Where's your optimism? ROMANA: It opted out. K9: Optimism. Belief that everything will work out well. Irrational, bordering on insane. DOCTOR: Oh do shut up, K9. Listen, Romana. Whenever you go into a new situation you must always believe the best until you find out exactly what the situation's all about, then believe the worst. ROMANA: Ah, but what happens if it turns out not to be the worst after all? DOCTOR: Don't be ridiculous, it always is."

Oh alright then, the proper answer is "because it's been fucking funny the number of opportunities the 'goodies' faction has been giving me to do so, the evidence that they can blow it before they even start, to the point where even the mortal form of Fahrook has been saying 'what the hell are you guys even doing'". ...I'll stop. :)

I mean, you started this narrative in the last issue, where the reason the friendly dragons' plans kept falling apart was because they, as they stated, were in a losing war with a superior foe who undermined all they did, leaving them with increasingly-desperate actions. You don't get the time and clarity to concoct a cunning plan while your foe's metaphorically pounding your nose in.

I know. It was almost a whole issue of 'hijinks ensue' before we found out the true nature of the stakes though. Plus for godlike beings, they don't half get blindsided a lot and foiled by circumstances they don't anticipate, even when they have had time to put their collective heads together; they've admitted that much. It wasn't just Gruff who was involved in sending Endy to die offworld ('the Reklar plan' seems to imply that dimension was specifically chosen), yet none of those who went along with it apparently thought to check first or ask at the time what he would end up dying *for*, particularly when Gruff had the kidnappers RIGHT THERE. The ones against the plan must have realised the massive consequence it could have on mortal affairs, and yet the others did it anyway, and split their own support in half. No wonder they're losing.
