For the next week or so (mid-July 2022), Niixa will answer your questions to the best of her ability.  I will not be answering these, this will be done by Niixa's creator RT.   Keep in mind that RT will not be notified when there is a question. So it might be some time between responses.

Any answer given that is RT's response and not Niixa's will be in [[ ]] per normal RP format.  Just in case we need to clarify anything. And again, we cannot answer any spoilers or anything that might reveal what has not yet been explained in the comic.

Lutris

So. Abs, huh?

RT

[Niixa]: *looks away to conceal blush* "Y-yes. Abs."

Jakkal

*Endy threatens to take off his shirt.

Lutris

No stop don't

RT

[Niixa]: "Nai! That treasure is mine alone to see!"

I tried asking Endymion about shoes... he could not even tell me the differences in price and quality. What about you? Ever since you were whisked away... and also with the... body changes you have had... what did you notice?

RT

[Niixa]: "Yes, but for a different reason. Everything that followed my enlistment into the armies denied me agency in my own personhood, be it in service of the Republic, my uncle, Fegov, the Akhi, or the Destroyer. Rehabilitating that aspect of personal agency has been a slow and awkward process that I might one night finish. My appearance is one of those first steps. So yes. Shoes."

RT

[Niixa]: "It's difficult to make direct comparisons between Fegov and my home in the ITR [[Iirozian Technocratic Republic, Niixa's home nation]]. We don't share coinage and Fegov has no cities to trade goods with. That being said, in general there is a greater range of styles and materials in the shops of Fegov by way of castoffs from new arrivals and the occasional shoemaker appearing, but costs and size-appropriate availability can vary wildly from what one could find at home."

Jakkal

Endy: All the shoes.

Simone Writes

hmmm... fair enough. I thought you could compare by income. 🤔 But i guess the incomes are too different too in what one can buy.

Errux, as far as we've ever seen, has no rainfall. It was an alien concept to you when you first materialised on Kaerwyn. Logically therefore, Errux would also lack natural downhill water flow to form rivers and lakes. That being the case, how do the citizens obtain drinking water? Are there deposits underground, and how would such a supply be replenished?

Dave Sanders

On a related note... what's been your reaction when you first saw snow?

RT

[Niixa]: "Errux, (or at least the Iirozian side of the Taen region that I call home) has vast underground bodies of saltwater whose origins we've yet to fully determine. Part of the replenishment cycle that we do understand, however, is that in certain times of the year the evening winds mix with the cold air of our numerous caverns, depositing moisture on the rock walls that ultimately works its way deeper into cavern. This is hardly enough to replenish reserves a city would depend on, so water conservation is a high priority for us."

RT

[Niixa]: "I thought it first to be ash. To see something naturally-occurring in such quantities (ice was discovered as a side effect of some AEF-based experimentation and concluded as an exotic form of water sometime before I was born) left me dumbfounded and in danger of losing my footing on the mountainside. Kaerwyn flaunts its natural surreality at every chance it gets."

Dave Sanders

Ah, that also explains the depency on salt. Your species has adapted to it through your water.

RT

[Niixa]: "This is our conclusion as well. When we reach maturity, the salt glands in our muzzles manage any excess salt in our bodies."

Dave Sanders

I expect Endy lacks interest since he understandably just wants his life to be 'normal', but are there any exotic creatures or cryptids that you would particularly like to be able to see for yourself (on the basis that in an infinite multiverse, there must be a dimension where such a being would exist)?

RT

[Niixa]: "Not particularly, no. With the my fortune, I'd be the one charged with killing the creature in question."

Dave Sanders

You have a 'weakness' for chocolate as well. Is chocolate - and by extension, caffeine - not a thing on Errux?

Dave Sanders

How did the war with the Tunani actually start? Or is that a question best left to your father to answer?

Dave Sanders

ANSWER ME THESE RIDDLES THREE OR THE TREASURE BE MINE ALONE TO SEE

RT

[Niixa]: "While sweets can be found in Taen (I've had the rare luxury of trying some outside of Bronze Pillar while on dock leave), no. We don't have anything like it. RIch in flavor, excellent when sweetened, and an apparent staple of non-Erruxian deserts. What is not to like about it?"

RT

[Niixa]: "He would have much more detail than I would. It's common knowledge, however, that the factions that would eventually become the Tunani and Iiroz were part of the old Rhaelite, forged by Korotana when he conquered Taen. The Iirozians grew tired of the Rhaelite's tyranny and broke away, with the Tunani acting to subjugate us once more. We've so far kept them at bay for five hundred years, despite their best efforts."

Dave Sanders

That's... a LOT of planetary resources.

RT

[Niixa]: "In a reasonable world, that would matter."

RT

[Niixa]: "I like some modest fireworks, especially when they use powdered arcanometals."
