Meanwhile, back in Fegov.

Also I made the bullet blue just to fuck with the gun nuts. Kaerwyn doesn't have their local big box ammo store that they always seem to think is available for every type of gun and ammo.  So now they get to guess how the local citizens make their ammo with whatever alien materials are available.

As a gun guy, it makes no sense to be an asshat about guns in art, comics, movies whatever. Only place gun stuff counts is at the range or in the military. Otherwise stfu already jeeeesh….

It's like they expect guns to be drawn with photorealistic quality and accuracy. Any details left out by not meeting those standards is open for commenting and correcting. They are insufferable. One of the last times it happened, someone told me I "forgot" the rifling inside the barrel. The barrel that is just a dark circle. That I don't give a fuck about the details inside. It's in the same league as unwanted critique. I feel like most of them are kids with strong mansplaining energy that see a gun and any details off or missing and are like "Finally, it's my time to show off my narrow scope of knowledge on a thing."

Just say it's a rare model and that they're the ones at fault for not immediately realizing that. No I'm not gonna tell you which one it is, figure it out yourself!

Tell them to pony up at the $25 a month level so you can ignore them here too 🤣 Insane anyone should put up with that behavior. I don’t see it here, presumably this is happening in the RP or Twitter? PS: How’s all things truck?

It's mostly the comments on Deviantart, though the comic's home site will get it too occasionally. DA seems to be full of younger people who are particular bad about it. As for the truck, it just went through a ~$900 fix. The encoder motor for the 4wd had to be replaced. It needs a new dash (Again). Other than that, it runs well.

I don’t do DA she would explain why I’m not seeing any of that silly chatter. if it’s just kids, it’s completely ignorable thankfully. Any adults that are participating in that kind of behavior need a 2 x 4 calibrator 🤣Thanks for the update on the truck. I didn’t know there was a motor involved with the 4 x 4 function, my 4 wheel drives had manual hubs you had to twist, not a push button. Good to know the machine is doing OK.

Yeah it was the early 2000's that Chevy made a 4wd "fly by wire" kind of setup. You can set it to auto engage if it feels the wheels slipping. Though of course anytime GM makes a new thing, it becomes A Problem™. This was a known issue for Avalanches and Silverados. Some reports said that it would throw the transfer case into neutral while going at highway speeds. Yikes. So when it started showing some signs of trouble, I just had the mechanics replace it outright.

Smart to keep it well maintained. Very hard to get a 4x4 full sized truck under $60K out the door and used trucks are just crazy $$$ :( I recall how happy you were when you got it, that was a very good day :)
