You've been very patient, waiting for this for a while now. Here it is, finally : The Bodyguard Girl Is Too Strong 2 build 0.0.1 is FINALLY AVAILABLE!!!

This early build contains the following :

  • An introduction to the main cast of characters
  • One minigame (complete Jester's story to access)
  • One death scene (fail the minigame to access)

Please consider the following known issues :

  • Winning the minigame does nothing (for now, please wait for next update)
  • Caret icon still appears in screen when toggling message box OFF
  • Huge file size (seriously, I need to trim it down, but no time to do this now)
  • Loading a save that was done in the Sewer Map screen re-loads the save game page (looking into it later)
  • I am unsatisfied with some of the 'cracking' visual effects
  • CGs for the first scene are not available in the ‘Extras’ menu
  • Characters portraits are AI-generated stand-ins (will be eventually replaced by art by Rahizu to match the look of the game)

Hopefully, this build will have been worth the wait.

Well, that E cup bra from the first game won't fit anymore 😆 Other than that she got officially taller (and heavier), no? I like the redesign overall and think the meaner look suits her well. I think the idea for the game's structure is also pretty interesting and all the small effects and animations are pretty nice too. I'd say it's shaping up to be a really fun experience!

I’m really glad you like it! Yeah, the way I see it, Vivian’s figure is more ‘metaphorical’ than ‘litteral’, in a way. Like, she’s drawn in the way she is perceived (does this make sense?). As I’ve stated before, I have a deep love for the artist’s style. I love how they manage to make the women look full-figured, soft and yet strong and solid. The style wouldn’t suit every project I have in mind, but it suits Vivian well. Those hips can (and often do) break a man!

So i've just played the demo and i gotta say you are doing an amazing job. I really like that the characters got more depth into them and enjoyed the little conversations they were having. I also dig the way you write in general (and are able to raise up tension in situations e.g.) . As for the new art style, I wasn't quite sure if i liked it that much in the beginning but have been growing very fond of it by now. The fact that Vivian looks a bit different came with a "Bond, portrayed by multiple actors" kind of feeling for me ^^. The scenery is also well chosen and fits the theme of the game perfectly. A thing i would prefer a little bit more was if the "fighting and death scenes etc." had more different frames in repertoire, since they are kind of the climax of all the ambience building up (if you know what i mean xD) but that is of course only whining at a high level. I also feel like you are so fast with new content, which might be due to being used to other content creators taking a long time but that's a sign that you rly like what you do i guess? :D Just keep doing what you love and it will surely turn out a masterpiece in the end. =)

Yeah, Jester’s story might happen ‘too quickly’, in terms of general rhythm, I agree. The other characters might take more time before arriving at their apotheosis. I have some ideas for more gameplay for some of the characters, like light puzzle elements, etc. We’ll see.

I’ve decided on using AI to help with some background work when I cannot find what I need. Custom backgrounds are really expensive and I figured I could use some copyright-free images and ‘cartoonify’ them using AI to make them fit in the game was a useful shortcut. I do not plan on using AI in any other way on big projects like this one, though. I want to actively support artists. As for Vivian’s body proportions, well, it comes with the artist’s style. I personally love it. As I stated elsewhere, however, their style might not fit every project I have in mind, so do not worry about this look becoming permanent on every future project.

I love the idea of this team, and the execution of Jester was nicely prolonged with that x ray, i really didnt imagine she will break back of his skull and jaw! but to be honest i expected some "grand finale" full crush break(with strong longer sound of bone breaking) or her dropping on him with her combat boots.     What i am really not fan of(it is of course my subjective opinion) is new design of Vivian, her breast are just too gigantic(they cover half of her body) and soft, her head is tiny and oddly drawed like in whole different style then every other game and design You did, muscles are also strangely looking with anatomics like from AI(her long tiny fingers). Of course some guys would love bigger boobies, but i just wanted to share my thought when You will dedice/think of next games and some artists please reconsider:). Also i wanted to note that text is covering her calves(sadly not so visible) and her soldier boots(those are very nice) for most part(maybe put text on the top for this scene is this possible?). Awesome work progress for such short amount of time!

Now, you can make the message box disappear by using the Spacebar key, so you can fully appreciate the art! Also, for the artist, I knew it was a risky choice (I’ve noticed I’ve lost some Patrons in the past few days, could it be because of this?), but I assume it entirely. As I’ve stated before, I feel the artist is a good match for the current project, but they wouldn’t necessarily fit with each future project. You’ve surely noticed that I like to hire varying artists from project to project, and it is something I am planning to do as well for the future.

Have to say as a appetizer for the story this looks really good and I can't wait to see what else Vivian has planed. However, I really don't like the way the art style is going - tastes are different, but this is just not for me. Its too "unrealistic". I know talking about "realism" is kind of strange for a game where a single female bodyguard (hopefully) crushes a platoon of men, but the new design is just too much of everything. The other girls were also a bit over the top, but you could still somehow imagine that a woman like this could exist somewhere. In my eyes this new Vivian looks more like a cartoon-character with those so very exaggerated features. Unfortunately for me she crossed the line of attractive and wanders into the "irritating and unsexy" territory. Which is really sad, because story wise this promised to be a perfect match for me. So I really hope that you decide to go back to the bit more "realistic" look of the other games.

That is fair. I was expecting even worse pushback on my choice of the artist, I knew I was taking a risk. I personally love their work, but I do not mind people disagreeing. What I take away from the decision is to not stray too far from a ‘classic’ anime look. But then again, artists who can draw muscle well in that classic style + the artists I can afford, it’s not always so easy to find.
