one of my favorite college papers i ever wrote was on this movie for a film class. this movie will always hold a special spot in my heart and im not even a western film fan but there's something about this one i just really love. my paper was written on the agency of the prostitues and how even though they didn't have much power or agency they did what they could to look after one another and protect each other when everything else failed them. it's such a good film!

James Jackson

I think there are a lot of ways the movie could have been done that would have made it more flashy or action packed but I feel the slow burn and lead up is perfection. I think it shows how William is really fighting his past and trying to be a better man. The other aspect of the movie that I liked was that William never talks himself up in a positive light like Bill or Bob did. You can see he is not a proud man for his past and I just think this movie is perfection because it didn't try to be Hollywood.

Rob Blum

This film was well acted, directed and shot! Clint Eastwood sat on this project for awhile because he didn't think he was old enough to play the part! Gene Hackman played the antagonist part very well, and won alot of the awards for Best Supporting Actor for playing Little Bill!
