Young Frankenstein imho was one of Mel Brooks' best movies. I liked it a lot better than Blazing Saddles. For your Halloween horror selection, I strongly recommend John Carpenter's "The Thing" from 1982. There's another more recent prequel with the same title - avoid that one.

I haven't watched Young Frankenstein in probably 20 yrs and have been meaning to rewatch it for yrs now, so this is the perfect push for me to see it again and follow along with your reaction.

For me, it's not Halloween without Tim Burton. I highly recommend Beetlejuice in particular! The Shining and The Silence of the Lambs are also really worth a watch, if you haven't seen them already.
