So, like, these days I don't really like to get into topic-of-the-day stuff or make negative comics, but I just that that this one is really funny. Like, Shareholders-chan is funny right?? C'mon.

Imagine she's like "I have to report this to the board" and then we cut to the board and it's all her stuffed animals around a little table. IT'S A GOOD BIT!!!

But still, I am nervous to post it, because I generally try to be a respite from the negativity of the world for people. I guess it's okay to stray a little from that sometimes, if it's funny enough? I dunno.

*this is not meant to be a critique of the joke* I think it would be really funny if I was in the know a little further but alas I am ignorant and while I am in enough to literally understand the joke, I am not in enough to find it funny and so this is one I was not the target audience for (⁠◕⁠ᴗ⁠◕⁠✿⁠)

FWIW, to me it’s funny in part BECAUSE it’s a legit critique of the system we work in, and i don’t think you can ever be fairly accused of negativity for making a humorous and legit critique. And also yeah shareholders-chan is just a funny concept in general

It's like, when for example an animation or video game studio fires a bunch of people to use AI instead, it's not driven by creator demand (because the creators got fired) and it's not driven by consumer demand (because the quality of the product does not increase), but it may be driven by shareholder demand (because it cuts costs and thereby increases profit). So like, you would think that if AI art pops up, it must be that either artists or art enjoyers want AI art, but that's not necessarily the case!
