Bonus Panel:

I'm experimenting with the look of the comics rn.

For this one, the original panels were about 2000x2000, but before scaling them up to their final resolution of 1500x1500, I scaled them DOWN to 500x500. I'm thinking of trying to make the next one at 500x500 from the get. Why?

1) I like a sort of pixely art style, because I make these comics digitally, and I've always drawn digitally (before I had a drawing tablet I'd draw with a mouse), and a pixely artstyle is just super unapologetic about this being a thing made on a computer, which I like. I like Homestuck for this as well.

2) Limitation breeds creativity, but it also limits my scope, which, if left to its own devices, tends to grow so hilariously out of proportion that I lose all motivation to even finish the thing I'm working on, because it becomes impossible to finish.

I like to finish things.

Not in the moment. In the moment, it sucks. I think "ah, shit, this isn't as good as it could've been. I should've started earlier on this. Maybe this isn't even worth showing." But then later, maybe a few days or weeks later, I'm glad I finished it instead of just leaving some unfinished dream that I gave up on.

Big fan of the pixel-ly look!

the passive-aggressiveness in the nun's "even you" though

I like the pixel look, I totally agree about the homestuck aesthetic being well suited for this kind of webcomic. I think in this case the scaling may not have worked really well because some of the jaggy edges looks a bit blurry on my desktop screen ,though it looks fine on mobile ( this is entirely subjective to me and my screens). I would guess if you only scaling up that will look much better because then you scale each pixel x 3 instead of having to quarter first on the downscale.

I THOUGHT something looked a bit different lol. I actually really like this look, but maybe I'm biased because I love pixel art, and that kind of aesthetic

I enjoy the comics that I get to see the most. 😊
