Hey hey! So, first things first:

1) I might need to take a week or so off to work on you-know-what. Hopefully y'all like you-know-what, but I just can't do EDEN updates, work on that, work on Bluechair, and still sleep haha.

2) If I get to 1350 patrons on here, I'm unleashing this:

Like no joke, this is ready to rock. The Alienman origin story. I've added this as a goal on the page and we're not even too far:

3) I wanted to ask, are y'all bored of EDEN? I've been trying to keep it interesting, but just can't seem to get it to the number of comments it used to get -- and this is especially bad cuz I have more Patrons now, so more comments would indicate equal interesting-ness, the same number of comments would indicate dropping interesting-ness, and less comments indicates like... drastically dropping interesting-ness.

Maybe I've gone a bad direction with it cuz I'm actually having difficulty motivating myself to make it lately too. I feel like I've been obfuscating lore stuff just a little too much lately in the interest of making the decisions "harder". Do y'all want me to bring it to a "Season 1 Close" and then try something else for a while, and maybe we can do a "Season 2" after a break? I've added a poll below, so lmk!

I would comment more but people have better ideas usually so I just stay quiet to help simplify :)

Big Bite Art

Ultimately do what makes you happiest but I adore EDEN! Its genius! Excited to see what you do next! ♡

Max Rollins

I can’t vouch for others but the reason I don’t typically comment on Eden posts is because I see someone else comment what I want to happen and I just like their comment instead.

Michael Swor

Voted no, and I agree that maybe more reveals would stimulate everything a bit?

velocidee

I love EDEN but I think taking a break and coming back can help keep you inspired

Luksyay

I definitely want more lore in Eden if possible

Josh Sidlowski

Echoing what others say, I’m loving the comic but am also liking other peoples answers and am mostly just along for the ride. I’ll definitely try to start engaging more!

Sarah Keys

I think leaving answers completely open ended is working against it tbh. It feels less like choosing what to do and more like guessing what to do

icarus

i think a little more of a hint at what our choices might cause would be a good way to increase comment interaction ! that way we can come up with corruptions a little easier :^ )

Capsule

Make stuff you're motivated to make, we'll be here for whatever it is :) Thanks for all the great art!!

Nora Miller

I’m loving EDEN!!! I’m invested in the characters and super curious about the scenarios and what’s really going on behind all these creepy encounters.

Ingress Insights: An Ingress Podcast

I thought it was starting to build towards an end at the end of 2021, or maybe Halloween? It’s been fantastic, and I will always want more. Maybe it can end Season 1 after Halloween and we can see a “Here’s what could have happened” at a slower pace until we get a trailer for Season 2? It is all really great stuff, but if it’s a drain on you, then call it to a close for now/when it naturally conclude.

orange_pkoe

I'm in love with EDEN and it's what brought me to your Patreon! I comment when I'm early on a post, otherwise I like others' comments to simplify your counting

A-R Rommel

For me, Eden come to often/frequently. One time a week would be enough. And maybe than with life-changing decissions. But this is Just for me!

shortchief

i love eden and could read it forever, and like others said i usually don’t comment because a) someone has had a good idea already and b) just trying to keep it simple for you. but i’m here to see stuff you want to make, so if you’re feeling burnt out on it you should def take a break.

Brando Badwigger

I voted to bring it to a close not because I don't enjoy the series but I feel like taking a break and coming back with new ideas if always better in the long run. I would love to see what a new fresh adventure with these characters (or new characters) would look like. Also I don't comment often because, as people have already commented, it feels redundant sometimes because other people have better ideas, have already said what I wanted to say, or I saw the update too late and it feels like decisions have already been made lol

justbrowsing

I really enjoy the unexpectedness of EDEN but it's also kinda hard to follow. To me it feels like it's lacking a sense of "purpose" or "goal" that the story works towards.

Jacob Mince

I'm good with either but I'm really hanging on to eden as it is right now. I like going back and rereading it. But you do you!

Anirudh Anand

I love EDEN too! I can’t wait to see where it goes. Personally, I’m much more inclined to respond to polls / like others’ comments than think up the characters’ next move in the moment. I often find others have the same idea or better ones anyway… Perhaps a more poll based decision format with corruptions in the comments would garner a wider response?

Josh Sidlowski

Just a thought, leaving more space in between choices might potentially help the narrative flow a bit better. Being able to make a choice on every post is cool, but can make the story progression a little stop-and-go; you could try cutting back choices to every other post (or one every three) which would give you more breathing room to build the story out between “branches”.

Mandy L.

I love EDEN and keep coming back to look for updates! I’m just not that much of a commenting person, so I usually just like comments instead. In general tho, if you feel like taking a break from the story, I wouldn’t mind at all! Take all the time you need, I’d rather you do that then having to force yourself. I am very indifferent about stuff like this so do whatever you feel like doing :)

SP00KS 👻

honestly I’m really enjoying eden & would love a season 2, but I’ve been experiencing choice burnout lately & if you’re getting Creative burnout then maybe a small break to work on something else would help. if you keep going with eden though I’m equally down because I look forward to the updates even if I don’t comment often 😭

Jon Barker

I think you may be trying too hard to make Eden too perfect. When I DM'd games, I had a kind of season off where I just made the party travel and made random encounters. They spent 3 weeks meticulously planning and executing an attack on an orc watchtower they were convinced had massive significance. It didn't, not at first anyway. Then I expanded it, but only superficially, and they filled in all the background themselves. They later said it was the best part of the entire 3 year campaign...(and I put *lots of work* into the rest) I feel you could probably let Eden do the same, and relax about it a bit. It's working, and you're good at winging it.

Boulvejak

EDEN is really, really cool. I often don't comment because somebody else has already said what my thoughts are. Or often, I don't necessarily want to participate in decisions, I just want to watch it happen. Please don't mistake this as lack of Interest.

Kaptain_biscuit

EDEN IS GREAT! I manage to get 3 friends to make a patron and subscribe to you and every week we talk theory and possibilities. Sometimes we dont comment because the majority has already pick an action and we know our comment/decision would get drowned with all the other comics. But this series is amazing and i always get exicted to see the new update.

Cthulhu's Bride

Eden is good, but lately there's been a weird amount of chaos in it from choices that I feel didn't echo everyone's decisions just because the prompts are SO open ended. Like why tf did we put the bear helmet on truffles after someone put her bow on the wrong ear lmfao

Boulvejak

I agree with this point. Having a little more happen between the decisions, even if that means we don't get updates as frequently, would help the story flow better. A side effect of this would be consequences for decisions being less intuitive, but this isn't necessarily a bad thing, either.

Nicole Elena

Only speaking for myself here. I LOVE reading EDEN, but don't frequently see a need to comment on the posts as I see my choice is frequently mirrored by a lot of other folks. My interaction is more in the way of liking other comments, more so than leaving my own. I'm also still loving the story of EDEN, but the choices have been set up in such a disquieting way sometimes that I'm paralyzed with the repercussions of what could happen if I "pick wrong". Not that I don't think having failure as an option is a good thing, but I dislike that I feel that failure is always going to be the result. It's spooky and makes me not wanna participate in the deciding factor, more often than not. Sincerely, Someone still haunted by the fact that she couldn't save Ashley AND Kaiden

Bitterblue55

I really enjoy EDEN but I think the choices need to be a little more straightforward. Maybe less random choices are better?

InDavidual

Wait, what's You-Know-What?

Sugar Rush

I've been a patreon for a week and I just LOVE EDEN. I think this is a brilliant way to create super interesting and engaging content. I do think that the patreon platform in that case isnt as engaging as FB would be and maybe creating more polls and maybe leaving just the corruption part open would be more effective. You can try different things and see what works for but this is great stuff and I wouldn't want a break from it. Tbh EDEN would be the reason I stay a patreon

John

I absolutely love EDEN! I honestly just downloaded Patreon specifically for reading EDEN

Connor Mueller

Personally I just don't care to comment, it's actually more fun for me to let everyone else decide. Idk why, I guess it's kind of fun watching other people make horror decisions. Honestly I'm subbed to you here because I love Bluechair and all the random stuff you post on Twitter. I get a lot of value out of that so I wanted to give a little back. Whatever you want to make on here is cool with me. I do really like the 10,000 Punch Man stuff you've been doing though.

Iceclaw Frozen Angel

EDEN is really fun to participate in and read, i just wish the participants would be more daring. All the "safe" options are just really anticlimactic to me xp but other than that it's really fun seeing what the next chapter is gona be like.

Puricella

Decreasing Eden frequency might increase comments and reduce burnout, but I've also noticed that some really cool corruption ideas show up at the bottom of the comments. They just don't get as many likes since they're posted later. I don't think there's anything wrong with going back to a poll format to simplify things, then cherry picking corruptions from the comments that you personally like.

Merl

I agree with this

Merl

I'm slowing down with my comments because Im getting ready for halloween!

Binetou_Jaune

I actually really like EDEN, my lack of execution functioning just makes me terrible at making sure I comment something on time. But I'd also be interested in a story about Alienman. If that's what your inspiration is currently heading you towards!

Erica

I love Eden but because all the decisions seem potentially scary and ambiguous, it's really hard to make a decision. I find myself liking comments instead, that sound right to me or funny.

rubby

Lol I like Eden, and I m guilty of not commenting much on the direction of the story! I feel like there are many great ideas and I have difficulty choosing one. I do try to upvote comments tho.

GrandpaGothCrocs

I love EDEN. It would be more engaging though if more of the mystery and lore of it started to unwrap.

Morgan Mulhall

I really enjoy EDEN!! I personally enjoy liking some of the decisions in the comments since some of them say what I was going to type, and others have some cool ideas I didn't even think of.

Michael Westcott

I find I am commenting less because I am pretty happy with whatever the decision is and the flow of the story. I open up the app as soon as I get the notification to read the next part of the story. When I do feel strongly enough that I want to influence the outcome, I usually find a clever corruption has been proposed that I wouldn't have thought of and vote for that.

Federico Acuña

New to the app so sorry for lack of engagement, I happily see everything you post, but don't always feel like commenting, even tho I always look at comments and upvote every now and then, really nothing wrong with the story, looking forward to seeing where you take us

Damien Dominguez

If motivation is becoming scarce, I think you should take a break from Eden for a bit. Maybe it'll be easier to write when you pick it up again. As far as personal interest I think it's just the difficulty. I look at the comments and people typically have better ideas than I do sometimes so I just like them.

Ash-E

you-know-what….. YOU-KNOW-WHHHAAATT!?!?! ♡〜٩( ˃́▿˂̀ )۶〜♡

Milkydevil00

So this may be going on a tangent but: Eden’s choose-your-own-adventure format reminded me of stories like Rubyquest and Nanquest. I think since those two had really simple art (literally stick figures), it made updating faster so people could ask more questions and explore the world, since each question could be answered with a quick scribble. With Eden, the art is much more finished but it also slows things down to the point where I’m sometimes disappointed that we‘ll never get to see what x or y does since the majority chose z first, and we’ll never have a chance to really go back since we only have so much room in each update. We have less of a chance to get answers so we just end up with more and more questions that slow the story down. Maybe one of the weekly updates could be just answering some comments before the actual decision from the last page is finalized? Either way, I love eden and would love to see more but I wouldn’t mind taking a break to keep it fresh if it’s getting taxing for you.

Ladytore

I really like eden, I think I start getting invested in one character and then it jumps to what someone else is doing sometimes but I’m still into it

Ladytore

I do also think that when you force yourself to make something you’re not into it’s easy to not pull in the readers

Ladytore

Someone also mentioned they’re just okay with seeing what others pick and I also feel that way, sometimes I feel like my ideas are silly so I wanna see what everyone else wants to do

Lisa

Halloween content I think!

Ocytocyne

I still love Eden !! But if you need to take a break take a break. Plus the shorter but twice a week updates are not really doing it for me. Less development from the choices and less satisfaction at the updates because how more frequent they are

Ocytocyne

Completely agree. Plus a big part of the satisfaction pay-off is having to wait. You desire much more an update when they come once a week than twice a week

Hal 🔆

I loooooove eden but I think a break would be good for you and for patrons! I like that its shrouded in mystery still. so I guess I'll vote for season 1 to close, but I really want more eden content and this has been such a cool endeavor!!! also, I dont end up voting on some of the edens simply because I'm scared to vote badly or because every option seems like something I'd like to explore !! it's not that I'm uninterested it's that I'm interested regardless of the outcome. :)

Kindle Santos

Personally I am still super invested in Eden. I would enjoy seeing a season wrap up regardless, but I honestly don’t want it to ever end

Mia

I love Eden and I love how creepy and exciting it feels. I rarely feel like commenting, especially if I found a comment that I like. I voted for the end of the season one because you said you feel tired, and I think it might be nice to take a break sometimes. I also keep on going back and re-reading it all the time. Maybe what someone said on not having choices on some updates, but maybe making them more cryptic where people would guess on what happened, is the way to go?

Kathryn

I usually don’t vote in Eden comments because I want to see all the outcomes and can’t decide! 🙈 I’m always checking for the next update though and love reading the results!

asterisk.jpg

First off, I love Eden. It's great, and scratches an itch in a way that you don't find in many other comics. Even when the option that I don't pick gets chosen I still am excited to read because I know that what happens is gonna be compelling. That being said, I think you should take a break or alternatively mix up the formula in some way. As someone who DMs their DnD game, you enjoying things is real important to making a quality product. Whether that's making longer entries where you can flex your comic expertise or shorter entries that you make quicker is up to you, or just like, it stops being about the gang for a while. Like cut to a locked room mystery with a new character where death's on the line or an odd game of calvinball with unclear rules or a riddle-based interlude or whatever. It's a cool world. However often we get the comics and whatever aspect they're about just lets us explore it one way or another.

CebuStyles

Feel like the only one that is bored with Eden..

Azhani Amiruddin

I love Eden but I think the recent change with multiple options to choose makes the storyline quite stagnated. Perhaps taking a break and re-evaluating the formula might do some good? I did enjoy the periods of story between the choices which has made me invested in the characters but find the multiple choices too overwhelming for me to participate. All the best in your overall decision!!

Rayce Buford

I love EDEN, but I feel like ending a season could give it good dramatic weight and make me care a little more. It would also keep me excited for it to come back one day

Emilie Martel

I like Eden, but I feel that we’re missing out on some cool story points whenever we switch characters…

NOAVerGe-C

I like Eden but the multiple branching story options give me decision paralysis. Feel like if it was a video game, I would be playing multiple times to see the different endings

KyDM

I vote for a break. Forcing yourself to keep at it will only lead to a decline in quality and possibly make you resent it. Instead work on something you have passion for and many you can eventually return to eden with fresh energy and ideas.

Mary

I second that! ❤️

sai0nji

I adore Eden but if you need a break from it take a break! I admit I never vote but that’s not because I’ve lost interest, I’m just always a bit late to the posts. So I’m voting to wrap up s1 so you don’t get burnt out and continue to enjoy it as well!!

Darbinator1101

I think maybe it was better when Eden was spaced out more. This seems a little too fast and isn't giving people time to comment

Jacky Yeh

I think many CYOA adventures have the flaw of attempting to continue a storyline which often would be better to end. Rather than continue EDEN in the current style, I think following a single main story, with options to arrive at different endings would be easier to implement, while still being interesting to the viewer. They can also follow the current comic like progression. That being said, take a break from EDEN and come back to it later!

Taylor Batts

I want this to keep going I like to see the story, but take a break if you need to

shencomix

i see! maybe i should be considering engagement rather than pure comment count, as i have noticed that comments have been generally getting more likes. like it used to be a lot of comments but barely any likes on them, and now it's 2-4 likes on a bunch of them and even 10s on some.

shencomix

no pressure on this, to be clear! :] u engage in the comic in whatever way u want or don't want to, i'm just trying to figure out whether i'm doing a good job or should be doing something differently

shencomix

right, so i should make it a little clearer what the consequences of a choice would be? i feel like it's already hard enough with the "magical"ness of the world even without my vagueness haha

shencomix

i can try to do that! for probability based stuff, i can even give probability bonuses as a reward for good corruptions. not HUGE ones, but like 5% maybe 10% if it's something super clever

shencomix

it definitely wouldn't be by Halloween by my current works schedule, but i think New Year might be a good "refresh" time anyway. i'll think about this!

shencomix

reasonable, i think most people aren't even on patreon enough for 2x/week, and that might be part of why it's getting less comments. i hadn't even considered that!

shencomix

i see! yeah, many times there's really only so much u can say about an update

shencomix

this is one of my weaknesses as a writer, but i've actually asked my friends to recommend me some literature on writing, which they have. hopefully i'll be able to give the characters clearer motivations!

shencomix

sure, we can try that. i want to really incentivize the corruptions in that case tho -- as I mentioned in a comment above, I might start giving bonuses for probability-based events for clever corruptions. i might also start featuring them more prominently than just a screenshot of the comment so it's more rewarding for y'all.

shencomix

yeah, coming up with choices for every update is, tbh, one thing i really struggle with. not much actually happens in a single update, and the state of the characters often isn't different enough to make the choice meaningful, so i'm just writhing try to come up with SOMEthing haha

shencomix

so you're saying i should give y'all the option, as readers, to make choices that won't necessarily pan out into some big lore event? like, for example, in the last update where the door is broken down, there is literally no reason to go outside lore-wise ... but maybe I should've let y'all go outside?? because screw it, i can think of something entertaining out there. that might be the approach...

shencomix

yea it's a pretty precarious world haha. like every time there was some "% chance death" for the character, that wasn't just aesthetic, that was totally real. i rolled it on random.org haha

shencomix

yeah i noticed that on a REALLY good EDEN update I'll get like 130 comments, but if I make it a poll then on any post I get like 250 votes, sometimes more.

Brando Badwigger

Also! To tie into that, I feel like the open ended choices are a bit too vague. Like I never really know what counts as a corruption and what would fit into the story tho that might just be my lack of creativity. I feel like maybe just laying out the options and possibilities, maybe even giving reminders of what the characters have in them that we could use. Like an inventory check. Either way, I do just enjoy being along for the ride and I look forward or whatever else is coming

shencomix

i mean y'all are pretty daring sometimes haha. there've been like 2 cases where there was some % chance of death and y'all took the most dangerous option. remember the bridge in the cellar??

JayStrings

I like Eden and want to see where it goes, but if you're getting bored of it/don't want to make it I'd rather you move on to the next thing

shencomix

i could try something like this! on one hand i'm worried about the ppl who got the most likes on their feeling cheated, but on the other hand it'll give ppl who comment later an opportunity, and maybe more ppl will comment knowing they still have a chance to get their corruption in the update

shencomix

the patrons goal Alienman story, just to clarify, would be in addition to Eden and not instead of it, and would be posted publicly as well as here. the reason i make it a patrons goal is because, woof, u gotta see this script. it's gonna be so tough for me to draw that i'm considering hiring help 😭

shencomix

right, i see. i get this feeling too tbh

shencomix

yeah this could be a thing! i wouldn't wanna answer as the creator though, i'd wanna answer as 👁️ FOREST CRITTER WHIMSY 👁️ or something of that nature, to not break character

shencomix

yeah several ppl have said this about the shorter updates

DragonbornBard

I do enjoy Eden quite a bit, I just don’t usually have a strong opinion on a choice, and by the time I see the post there’s usually a pretty clear winner already.

Vanessa Carmona

I love Eden, check your updates immediately if possible, and like comments rather propose my own. Someone mentioned not always offering a choice in each update or making them more poll based to help follow a storyline better. While some of the things people propose are funny, it feels like everyone is a little all over the place. I’m excited to see where you take it but echo everyone’s sentiment that if you’re not feeling inspired and a little burnt out, it might be better to take a step back for a bit so you can create something you’re really proud of rather than just creating for the sake of keeping things going. Also highly encourage reading and looking in different places for inspo. I’m a fan and will continue to be one whatever you decide!

Britni Ward

EDEN is the whole reason I joined your patreon! I look forward to each update and LOVE LOVE LOVE it so much!!

Manekicho28

Hello! I like it. I stopped commenting cuz at some point I figured there were so many people that it was unlikely my comment would be chosen and my votes wouldn't amount for much, but I enjoy seeing where the group takes us all the same. It'd be cool if you turned this into a visual novel kinda think where everyone could actually go along their own paths and see how their own decisions would have paned out

Alex Nelson

Mmm. Having joined recently, I’m ok. But I refuse to advocate a poll where you get no say, Shen! If you need to bring season one to a close for your Health, we will support you. And also if you don’t need to!

Cecilia Deng

I like comments instead. But would appreciate more reveals too

justbrowsing

I mean, you're doing many things right, and once you focus on the factors that can be improved, the overall story quality will multiply for sure!

DarkNinja

I know your being fair by following what your fans on patreon belive/ want but you deserve break man all this amazing content and multiple dead lines will take a toll i personally believe a break will be well worth it, its not like youll be gone forever right? I started following you way back from instagram before u got on webtoon and what a great ride its been! So please if in the end you feel like, damn i dont get a break, thats when u should really take one haha. Thank you for all the amazing stories, shorts and comics.

Jon Barker

Yes, exactly that. And then it can become lore if it pans out that way, or if it doesn't then it's still engaging background detail in the world. And tiny background detail is just as interesting to us as the big, weird shit. So you'd be involving us more as active participants in the creative process as opposed to mapping out *everything* in detail (which we then don't get to fully experience anyway because choices, choices...). I think this would be impossible to do twice a week, though. And I personally would be happy with ten-day or fortnightly updates if this made Eden a more viable long-term prospect. Patreon offers an almost unique format to do this sort of stuff in. It's exciting, isn't it? I'm tempted to do an episodic story with reader input myself.

Kauê Santoja

I really like Eden, but I don't comment or vote and prefer to just watch where the story goes

LonMcGregor

I like EDEN, but Alienman has piqued my interest now

Sara Kennedy

Take a break. The whole point of Patreon is to free you to follow your muse, not necessarily to give us this specific story line. It will be here when you're ready to return to it.

Dan S

I hope you read this Shen. I voted on stopping the season. not because i dont enjoy it but because i think maybe you lost a bit of direction. i think maybe you should in fact,, post ONLY one time a week and try making it MEANINGFUL. advancing the plot and startin to wrap things up. you need to remember that WE as an audience wont always pick decisions that make sense or advance the story. we like to make surprising and stupid desicion because its funny but doesnt necessarily helps the averall story. WE in fact can hinder it and its up to YOU to keep the narrative storngly in your head and maybe see how to coax us to the right path. or even decide for us or give us less freedom. if we keep this up the story will go forever and be convoluted by our funny decisions. i think we need a more assertive hand guiding the story and for us to make once in a while some hard decisions :) i think the story here has a lot of cool potential just lets not make it a "LOST" tv series case.. thanks a lot

HoneyBunBun

I still have just as much interest as I always have (that being a lot, cuz I subscribed for the EDEN series mostly) but I hardly ever comment cuz I feel like I don’t often have a good, or original idea for the story. A lot of the time someone else has already commented what I’m thinking, and so I just like those comments.

Letsan

Just some thoughts: maybe the ~2 posts per week gives people less time to comment since voting is open for a day or two only. If that's the case, maybe going back to 1 post per week will make it easier for you on the story-development side, while also giving more time for people to vote or comment. As I don't have the Patreon app I rely on email to get notified about posts. So if my emails pile up a bit I can miss some posts, and once I see the message the next post has already been posted. This could be happening to other people maybe....

shencomix

i always worry about this because i don't wanna "railroad" so to speak. i actually love it when a vote is close, when a vote is super heavily in the favor of one option i always think "did i do something to make this the obvious option?" ty for the feedback!

Giulee

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don’t end Eden!!! To be totally honest, it’s the reason why I’m here! I really love those characters and story! I don’t usually comment, but I’ll try my best to do so! As others said, maybe 1 post per week is better, for you and for us to have the time to vote!!

Dan S

Thank you for putting so much effort and thought in this process.. opening up yourself for our collective opinions can be hard i assume and a bit unnerving. you are very brave, i mean it. You can tell how important the creative process is for you and it makes your workk all the more omportant and meaningful to me.. and i guess to us all

Nathan Bailey

I absolutely LOVE Eden! But I read that you said that it is hard for you to find inspiration and it's becoming a bit of a stressor, so I voted to END Season 1! Not because I don't love it, but because this will give you a chance to think about where it can go, plan, and bring it back when you are READY!

Morgan

I love Eden, but you should definitely take a break if you’re feeling burnt out!!

Justine Martin

Same! I never come up with funny ideas, but eden is litteraly the stuff that make me come on patreon 💕

Justine Martin

I wouldn't mind if you left us less choices, or maybe you chooses the corruption that makes more sense for the story instead of the more likes... I live eden, I love the mood. If you need a break that fine, you deserve it for sure 💞 but please don't end it 🥺

Lily Foote

I was going to say this, too. Usually when I’m about to comment, I’m late, and 1) I don’t think my comment will be seen, 2) there’s already a pretty clear winner, or 3) what I was going to comment has already been said. In hindsight the poll system really was great because it put everyone on a level playing field (regardless of how late you get to the post), and it seemed to gave Shen a little more control over the options. Even though I’m pretty sure we majority voted against polls in the past (myself included lol…)

Lily Foote

I voted to end Season 1, because I think it could give you a bit of time to 1, work out some of the kinks you mentioned in the Meta posts, and 2, get the story back to a place where you feel more confident in its direction. I think that maybe we’re getting a bit too much choice. I’ve noticed that our choices are kind of all-over-the-place. Giving us full reign of the story’s path feels a bit like being dragged along in the dark by an excitable dog: I’m not sure where this is going, and I have a bit of a hard time keeping up. This sort of chaos might appeal to some people. But I think that something like a poll system could put a harness on the dog, and maybe even give us a flashlight. Lol. I’ll admit my fickleness, in that I previously voted against polls. But seeing this post, as well as recent posts, has changed my mind on that. Best of luck, Shen, and thank you for everything you do!

Eden is why I came here. It’d be a bummer if it went away, but I’d still support.

Eden is why I came here ngl, but if you’re feeling burnt out on it I’m down for whatever you do, I’m not gonna stop supporting just because it goes away

Isabella

I love love love eden, it’s actually the reason I came here in the first place, but I would also like you to take a break if you’re burnt out! I would love to see it continue, but only if it’s because it’s something you enjoy creating :)

I love Eden. I've never seen anything like it before. If you need some time to iron out some logistics and recharge, I don't mind, but I would hate to see such a unique and awesome idea put on the wayside. I love the atmosphere of Eden, the bright colors and cuteness simultaneously emphasize the horror while making the reading experience strangely comforting. I just joined your patreon and read it all in one go, so I haven't had a chance to comment, but I'm really enjoying it even as a passive reader. Even if there were no choices and audience participation, it would still be one of my favorite comics (not saying you should get rid of the choices, but just pointing out that it appeals to me even though I haven't participated yet.) Although you are a phenomenal storyteller, so I do sometimes wish that you were the one steering the actions of the characters instead of us, the audience. No matter what direction you decide to take Eden, the premise of forest creatures of unknown origins living in a whimsical horror-scape is something I would love to see more of. I still have so many questions about who these creatures are, how they came to be in this unnatural place.

You totally deserve a break if that's what you need, that's a lot of projects to be working on (we proud of u 👍🏼). I love eden sm, I come for updates all the time. I think it's worth considering making less options available for the voting (just A or B). This way we aren't a lil overwhelmed by having so many choices and corruptions, and also so you aren't overwhelmed with so many ideas coming in at once. Just an idea, don't wanna assume anything either lol and we will be here to support you no matter what

I love Eden! Life has been so hectic that I haven’t had time to watch but I just got caught up! It is a rush with every new post! If you are burnt out then I believe we would understand taking a season break but please please PLEASE make a season 2!

I just joined, but I just binged the entire series and I love it so much! However, I don't think anyone would mind if you took a break from EDEN, regardless of if it's a break you need or just a break you want. Take all the time you need shen, we'll be here waiting ❤️
