I'm going to start calling our Clone Wars recordings "religious study" because of how much this show is changing my life lmao!

Btw, the arc list we're using is here: https://starwarsreport.com/2018/10/03/the-clone-wars-viewing-guide-how-to-watch-the-series-chronologically-arc-by-arc/

Ooh! Two in one? How fun! I was starting to worry I'd only get these reactions is small doses.

Matthew Cronin

Those are not Ahsoka’s people btw, If you want to learn about them watch Tales of the Jedi

I love these episodes & Yoda is the best in the series for me just everything he says is a lesson in itself

"One of the things about me is I insist on understanding" - Caleb. I relate to that. Maybe not in how you meant it, but for me, especially, about Humans and opinions. I want to know why people are the way that they are and why they think the way they think. Don't care to change minds, I just want to know... almost to test myself and my own thoughts and convictions.

Matthew Cronin

Guys the trade federation controls ALL TRADE.

KrakenKing

Ahsoka is a Togruta. The people of Ryloth are called Twileks

Matthew Periolat

Three episodes in 24 hours and I want more! Seriously, good that you are addicted because I’m addicted to watching. Meanwhile, I’ll just listen to the insights you share and the thing you want and ask for and contentedly smile.

Sad Fact: Jek was one of the 2 Clones that try to kill Yoda during Order 66 on Kashyyyk in Revenge of The Sith.

Actually Caleb, Jar Jar's voice actor is not the actor from the prequel movies. His voice actor in the clone wars is Phil LaMarr. LaMarr also voices senator Organa. So in the first episode he's voicing both characters making the argument in front of the king. But Ahmed Best (Jar Jar from the movies) does get time to shine in another star wars production. Poor guy, he had it so rough. King Katuunko was voiced by Brian George, he played Avasarala's husband in season 1 and 2 of the expanse. They got another actor to play the husband in season 4.

you referenced the idea of a non binary clone and whilst I don't think we've had that yet, in the books "Queen's Hope" and "Brotherhood" there is a Trans Clone called "Sister". In artwork done for former book her clone armour features the colours of the Trans flag.

I love how much fun you guys are having with this series! If you guys are loving it THIS early on? Then I cannot WAIT to see your thoughts on upcoming arcs and new characters

Bruce Wayne

and YES ventress does have an arc later on that you guys are gonna love

Julio Castillo

In case you guys didn't notice, the Toydarians are the same species as Watto, the owner of Anakin and Shmi Skywalker when they were slaves.

toydaria wanting to remain neutral is very different from the us remaining neutral, because the us even if they picked a side, isnt really in danger of being invaded, no country on the planet has the ability to invade the us, so its really only an economic threat of the one we oppose placing embargos on us which the us can manage. with toydaria, there is a very real chance the seperatists could invade and even wipe them out, plus breaking their treaty with the trade federation which controls almost all galactic trade, would doom their own people to possibly go through a planet wide great depression. i get wanting to compare events in the show to real life events, but you should also try to think of the actual consequences they could face as the situations arent exactly the same. you guys were giving the toydarian king shit like it should be an easy choice, but in reality he is risking the lives and freedom of his people helping the republic

Mage Reacts

We're always going to mention real life events, sorry. We're literally on episode 4 and are figuring out the politics and what each planet/system consists of. Instead of a condescending remark like that, maybe just inform us rather than tell us we should think of things we don't know yet? It's incredibly rude.

Mage Reacts

That is WILD. LaMarr working overtime 🤣

Unstablebeast

Fair, my apologies. I got a little heated with how you two reacted to the toydarian king because I like him, and didn't think my reply through that well

Michael

I catch myself doing the same thing. I want to know the logic behind it. Informed or not.

Michael

The great thing about delving into more and more content in the universe is that each time you watch an original movie you get to sort of see it through new eyes. When Luke wants to leave his training Obi-Wan appears to tell him, “It is your abilities that the Emperor wants. That is why your friends are made to suffer.” He follows that up with, “I don’t want to lose you the same way I lost your father.” Luke gets a vision of loved ones in peril and saving them becomes his only focus. Sound familiar??

Will Frangules

This show gets very political for a kids show, but does it in a way that is in no way cheesy/cliché
