The Late Mr. Kent (STAS)

Yeah I loved this episode! This was different to the usual STAS episodes we've watched. I loved the whole detective type of a feel this episode had. I love how passionate and determined Clark/Superman was in trying to get justice for Walker, even when others including Lois didn't believe him. I always love seeing that side of Superman cause we know he'll never give up until he gets to the bottom of it. Batman is the same way as well and it’s why I love them both. And you're right on with how some people interpret superheroes and I just don't get it. I've seen people criticized the X-Men and even Superman when both are progressive. But yeah this was definitely another personal favorite episode of mine! Can't wait for the next one. Last two episodes of S2 are some of the best and both are 2 part episodes so we're nearing the end. And to answer your question, yes there is a season 3. It's 13 episodes long. Also I saw on discord and I'm so excited for when you watch The Boys

Yeah this episode kinda was like a Noir thing in a way. Clark trying to clear an innocent man from being executed and was then supposingly murdered by a dirty cop. Then at the end just before dying he found out Clark was Superman! Also what Superman said about how he needs to be Clark Kent too and not just Superman proves he definitely knows about balance in his life a lot more than Bruce Wayne does always carrying around his childhood trauma deep down and not moving on from it just being closed off Batman in personality all the time.

I remember watching this episode as a kid in the 90s around age 8-9 and I was like, "Oh wow this is really serious." I rewatched this episode a few years ago with my dad and he said the same thing you did Meg, "Why does the Metropolis Police have military helicopters with high explosive missiles? How is that useful in policing?" Detective Bowman was introduced in that previous episode where Lytener was stalking Lois. Bowman was suspicious in that episode but didn't do anything outright criminal. They had already introduced Magee Sawyer (head of the special crimes unit) and Inspector Dan Turpin her right hand man. So it was a little weird that they introduced a third cop at the time, but now it makes a lot of sense. Anyway I think you'll love the rest of the episodes of the season, a mix of fun episodes and some of the best of the series in my opinion.

Getting to some darker material with STAS season 2 now, facing Supes with a difficult dilemma where his civilian alter ego has been assassinated. Gotham lends itself better to this kind of Noir type story but this was good too- even Superman has to do some detective work on occasion to able to spot the guilty amongst the innocent. Naturally a lot of the police force are on Luthor's payroll. Speaking of the guilty, Bowman's execution is more of a convenience to stop him from revealing Clark Kent's identity, but many have made the case for the death penalty for the big-time repeat offenders like Joker and Luthor. Jail can't contain them and every setback just makes them more malevolent and determined to hurt others, so there's only one way to stop them for good.

2026-09-19 16:00 Seriously. Why are you taking over month break between some shows episodes? Last Daredevil episode was May 2. Are you playing games with your subscribers?

Things are crazy for her and her family IRL right now, a real lot for anybody to handle, I'm not sure it's my place to give details here but there are serious life events going on. Please be kind it's a rough time for them, and you are not entitled to a quota of episodes at the expense of the lives of the people you enjoy watching. Nobody's trying to play games with you Meg & Caleb have too much going on and it's as simple as that, if you want a deadline met on the regular every single week for your entertainment then watch a large company channel who does reactions instead, or try and understand that life is currently in Meg's way and that kind of comment does nothing but hurt her more along with your chances of more stuff coming soon.

Oh well. I wasn't aware of that. If i was i wouldn't have commented in such way. The thing is some of the Patreon YTbers delay their videos to keep subscribers connected. And yes i know i could just unsubscribe and wait couple years and re-subscribe. But i don't want to do that because i love their reactions. Another thing is that they don't much response to the people at comment section. Last time i got response was 3 years ago. So if things in their personal life are bad it would be appropriate to tell us. I know its personal stuff but all they need to do is say that they are struggling on personal stuff. Thats it. Thanks for you for explanation. No need to get defensive on behalf of another person.

Thing I love most about this episode is that for the people who have a problem with Superman being “too strong” Watch this episode. It just perfectly capitalizes that Clark/Superman loves being Clark & is just as smart & caring as anyone. & very murder mystery esc with the narration

I'm sorry for being defensive, I think I read too much into your comment, thank you very much for listening and understanding that was unfair of me and I appreciate it very much. I have heard about this a lot more in the discord, unfortunately Patreon comments and interactions have almost no moderation tools 😭A lot of larger or medium size creators don't read them because they can be seriously hellish and people can act awfully freely and there's no real tools to make it a safe environment, it's why I got a little extra defensive hearing a comment like that, a lot of things can devolve really fast and there's nothing Meg's mod friends or any creators' mods can do, and it's why most creators prefer to interact with their patrons over something like discord, there is no reliable way to be safe or protected here. I feel bad for jumping like that, I'm sorry, I feel bad for talking on Meg's behalf as well, I'm not a moderator or anything, if anyone needs me to delete my comment let me know and I will. If you want to talk with them and most of the other activity in the community I highly recommend joining the discord, it's a much kinder, safer place and somewhere your messages will absolutely be read, Patreon comments can be really awful, so so awful, and I don't blame anybody for not wanting to interact with them there are some real horror stories out there. Thank you Kalle-Tapani

Even if they weren't going through something in their personal lives, the initial comment you made was rude. Meg and Caleb are reacting to a lot of content and upload pretty frequently on most platforms. A lot of creators only put out 1 - 3 videos a month (if that) so getting upset over there not being a daredevil video in a month is ridiculous. What's worse is that you immediately assumed the worst out of Meg and Caleb when you didn't get the content you wanted in the time you wanted. This is a perfect example of why they don't check the comments on here often.
