I was waiting for this episode since this introduces you to a new group of people, that being the Legion of Superheroes, which are a superhero team from the future that were inspired by heroes like Superman and the Justice League. I also love seeing you freak out seeing Jonathan and Martha with shotguns shooting Brainiac. Yeah Crisis on Infinite Earths is a big event for DC in the comics. You mentioned the Kingdom Come comic and actually I was hoping you can do a readalong to it after you finish your Darth Vader readalong. It's only 4 issues so you could get through it pretty quickly. But it's just a really amazing story that I would love to see your live reaction to it. As for Smallville, I'm in the camp of reacting to only certain episodes cause there are some good episodes in between each season. And I know it would take way too long to react to every episode. Maybe someone can make a list of the best episodes from each season and that can be the ones you react to and the others you can watch on your own time. But I think you're going to love that show! Also I saw on discord you were asking about if each episode this season is good to react to and I'd say yes and since you're almost done with this and BTAS. I think the rest of these episodes are well worth the watch. And then I'm excited for Batman Beyond and Justice League next! But thanks as always for these DC reactions!

It would have been hilarious if Lana came out with a third shotgun and shot Brainiac right after Pa and Ma Kent did. Rule of 3's of comedy. It would have been a funny bit. There was actually a Legion of Superheroes cartoon that ran from 2006-2008. Same basic premise as this episode. It was a different animation style and not part of the DC Bruce Timm animated universe. It was okay, not as good as the Bruce Timm/Paul Dini stuff but not bad either. I'd certainly watch a Smallville reaction, but yeah maybe like season opener, best episode in the season, and maybe season finale. So maybe 2-3 episodes a season? You should certainly watch it in your own time, lots of wholesome episodes, but the show ran for 10 seasons so there's a lot of filler episodes too.

Hey Meg, another great reaction. Legion of Superheroes is one of the more fringe teams in the DC Universe; and in some Superman media they do make occasional appearances since there was a comic run where Superboy (Young Clark Kent) teams up with them. Maybe you’ll see them again in future shows you decide to watch. Can’t wait for you to finish Batman TNBA and move to Batman Beyond. Which I would guess you’re gonna love since it is so different but furthers the Batman mythos in such a unique way. For Smallville, I’d recommend watching an essential episode guide, kinda like with your Clone Wars viewings, since the show is 10 seasons long, there’s some great episodes in between with iconic moments besides just the season premiere and finales so wouldn’t want you to miss that. Plus the dynamic between Lex and Clark is the best ever put to live action. For the episodes you don’t catch, Michael Rosenbaum (Lex in smallville) and Tom Welling (Clark) do a watch along podcast where they discuss the episodes and a ton of the bts of the show. They’re currently on season 5. Anyways hope all is well

"I'm really excited to start Justice League" I'm really excited for you to start too! ❤️ I'm a huge Smallville fan and would be down to watch a reaction to first and last episode. If you're looking for a look live action Superman show that's a more manageable size, I highly recommend Superman & Lois. The seasons are super short (like 10-12 episodes) and it's by far the best live action depiction of Superman's character I've ever seen.

This episode is exactly the perfect example of how a typical episode of smallville would be like and trust me jonathan and martha are even more badass in that show. That dukes of hazzard reference is interesting cause the actor who plays jonathan kent in smallville also plays bo duke in dukes of hazzard. Except this animated episode came out years before smallville did so this is a crazy coincidence that martha tells jonathan that. Also Lana is great and played by kristen kruek on smallville and lois is played by erica durance while alison mack plays chloe. Tom welling does a fantastic job as clark kent. Idk if you’ll ever start that show or not considering there are 10 whole seasons but it would be interesting to see ur reactions to those live action portrayals

Yes this was the episode that was about the LEGION OF SUPERHEROES from the future! Brainiac was after Clark Kent in the past before he became Superman and so they had to stop Brainiac and save him. Also you know Lana was Clark's high school sweetheart, but after becoming Superman and meeting Lois Lane who has a lot more in common with him his feelings drifted away from Lana and towards Lois.
