Thanks for the enjoyable experience. Do you plan to watch the Justice League Animated series? And If so directly after this or are you finishing Superman the Animated series First?

And with this episode, we are now finished with BTAS and what a finale this was! Much like a lot of shows and I think more so with animated shows of this time, there isn't really a true finale. The shows just end. I believe the Judgement Day episode was technically the finale of the series but I feel like ending the show on this, is so much better. For me before I ever watched this episode and really got into Batman in general, I used to always believe that Joker and Harley Quinn were one of the "it" couples of DC. And while they do look really good aesthetically together, this episode (and the comics) showed me that they were never that happy couple that Harley always wanted them to be. Though that is mainly due to Joker being a master manipulator and an abusive monster. And even though Harley herself has committed some awful crimes and has been complicit and participated in some of Joker's crimes, I know in modern continuity, she tries to make up for all the harm she's done since she has distanced herself from Joker. This is definitely a reaction I'm coming back to watch over and over again. Not only for the emotional reaction you had to this but also from listening to your discussions, which I always love, especially when you talk about the more nuance things, depending on the topic. I also want to say Meg, thank you so much for these DC reactions. Ever since I saw you play the Arkham games and then post the first episode of BTAS on patreon, I was hooked and have been ever since. And each time you've uploaded a BTAS, STAS or a DC movie (live action or animated) reaction, it reminds me of when my favorite show would have a new episode every week. So I thank you so much for still doing these DC reactions, especially when not many creators ever do them or really give DC a chance at all, especially when it comes to their animated projects. Now all that is left is to finish STAS. But in the mean time as a replacement for BTAS, I wouldn't mind you checking out the Green Lantern Animated Series first if you don't want to immediately jump into Batman Beyond. Though I can't wait for Batman Beyond since it is such an incredible show and deserves so much more love and praise. Static Shock is also good and underrated. And I'm already hyped for Justice League and Justice League Unlimited, especially since I've been rewatching it in anticipation for when you start it. But again I can't thank you enough for still doing these Meg and I can't wait for more DC reactions!!

Also forgot to mention, whenever you watch the Joker movie, make sure you have tissues nearby when watching. Not going to say why cause spoilers obviously but I'd recommend it

Mage Reacts

Oh yeah I've heard it's rough, Thank you for the reminder :)

I always love your words for every vid, Heroes. I can't tell you how much I appreciate you! Thank you for being on this journey with me!!

Mage Reacts

Yes definitely! I will probably do a poll for what to jump into next. Stay tuned!

Of course Meg! I'm glad you're still continuing on this journey, especially with how long it has been. But I'm glad we've finally finished this show at least after a long journey cause now is when we really get into the good stuff!

Good reaction! I’ve waited for this reaction for a long time. Such as tragic episode and I imagine the timing of when it came out as around the time the episode came out, Harley would had debut in the comics by that point. I really want to say that it was a honor to have watch your reactions to the show. It’s why I join your patreon and just thought you are a sweet caring person who really wanted to know more about the Batman lore & DC in general. I’m excited to see what you’ll watch next. There is a BTAS short film I sent on the DC chat room on Discord called Catwoman: Chase Me. Be cool to see it whether as a reaction or on your own time. One last thing to say is that even though it’s the end of BTAS, it’s not the end of this interpretation of Batman. There is a third BTAS animated film called Mystery of the Batwoman which was made after the final season. I kind of view it as a finale to the show of sorts. Not on the same level of Mask of the Phantasm but still pretty entertaining.

a detail i love in this episode is that they make a point of showing batman wince when joker slaps Harley.

Well you're finally done watching BATMAN TAS!!! In this last one Harley being a doctor back then should've known not to let Joker get to her like that in the first place.

What a journey. Loved it, you brought a fresh perspective to a lot of these old episodes I hadn't seen before. While not perfect, this show was legendary enough to spawn an entire animated universe's worth of spinoffs, which only improve on the formula. Judgement Day was the last episode to be produced, but no episode was ever really styled as the 'series finale'. After all, the story continues in Batman Beyond. As for Mad Love, it's a note-perfect rendition of the comic book story examining Harley Quinn's descent into madness and Joker's role in it. I have not seen Joker 2 myself nor do I plan to, but I'm sure it's an easy story to flub, as is any non-traditional romance. This rendition revels in the loosened restrictions of TNBA- it's possible that this wasn't a story they could tell in the previous format. Very dark deconstruction of what Harley believes is a romantic relationship but in truth is a recurring domestic abuse situation engineered by the very worst kind of sociopathic villain to gain a perpetually loyal henchwoman. There's a reason they don't let psychiatrists talk to Joker any more. In fact, in Arkham City he kills several of them for fun while making up numerous conflicting tragic stories to excuse his behavior. Nothing is sacred to Joker, not even his own 'One Bad Day' schtick. Excited to see whatever comes next! ❤
