We have a little bit left to go of The Expanse, but I expect to finish around the New Year! I'm excited to plan what series to react to next.

I'm very excited about Breaking Bad or The Boys. Never seen either, and would be going in blind!

Let me know your thoughts :) ♥

Man you are asking me to choose one of my children. Breaking Bad is the better show, but I want you to see the craziness of the boys.

I vote breaking Bad. Both shows are good of course but breaking bad at least for me is legendary television.

Breaking Bad is way more consistently good imo, The Boys kinda declines over the seasons

After this one, I'd look into Dark. Only drama I like more than The Expanse. Best show ever

Meg, i don't wanna overhype it, but Breaking Bad is my favorite all time television show! I also adore the Sopranos (which inspired Breaking Bad), and of course Buffy and Angel and Firefly. Plus Babylon V. However, Breaking Bad is my favorite. I won't spoil anything.

Breaking Bad, and its (arguably even better) prequel series, Better Call Saul, are among the best television dramas of their generation. The Boys is... well, not really my thing. But even if it were, I don't think it could measure up. BB/BCS are, like, in a different league. In my opinion, of course. ☺

The Boys is more meta with parodies of other (mostly superhero) IPs, and of real world events. But Breaking Bad is on another level.

I genuinely think you wouldn’t like The Boys. It’s up to the results but Breaking Bad actually has something to say. The Boys pretends to have something to say but it’s really just “edgy bro” energy

This has been my experience with the Boys too :( The shock value rampup over time is too much for me, grossly excessive, I can handle a ton and I'd bet Meg can handle even more but after a while it felt like I was getting shaken and upset repeatedly as a borderline substitute for actually being fully engaged. Best way I can put it is Breaking Bad seems like a really interesting rollercoaster to get lost in, but the Boys is one of those drop tower thrash-you-up-and-down rides instead lol.

The Northlander

Any thought to cover the sequel comic, Dragon Tooth?

The first 3 seasons of "The Boys" were good in spite of the disgusting gore and sometimes over the top chaos, but 4 lost me. Yuck. Breaking Bad has more heart in the end, I think.
