Star Wars (2015) comic series from Jason Aaron, Kieron Gillen, and Greg Pak would be awesome. I would also recommend Darth Vader (2015) by Gillen and Salvador Larroca, especially since the two comics crossover with each other.

Yay I'm so happy you finally finished this! I'm not sure if you saw how Blind Wave did their comic reactions and if you plan on uploading your read along of this to YouTube but I'm here for it if you do. But now that you are finished, I definitely have at least two other comic recommendations that I'd love to see you do read alongs to. They aren’t Star Wars but they are DC. The first one being Superman: For All Seasons and the other being Kingdom Come. Both are only about 4 issues long so they shouldn't take long at all depending on the pace you go. Plus both comics are being used as inspiration for James Gunn's Superman movie. Also idk if you’d do a read along to it since it’s more of a graphic novel but I’d love to see what you think of Batman War on Crime

WerewolfF14

you missed a lot of the mini series that are set before star wars 2015 as well as doctor Aphra run

Brandon Corchado

True. Those minis are really good. Landon by Charles Soule, Han Solo by Marjorie Liu, Princess Leia by Mark Waid.

Just to note one particular line from the final issue "let the past die, kill it if you have to" is a call back. or call forward depending on how you view it. to a line from the sequel trilogy. I figured its worth noting since i assume you're not getting around to the sequel trilogy anytime soon. in terms of what's next you still have darth vader issue 18 (2017) which you accidentally skipped. And theres also darth vader annual issue 2 (2017). Both are one off stories. after that personally i recommend taking a look at some of the mini series. In particular: Star Wars Darth Maul (2017), a 5 issue mini series set a year before phantom menace, focusing on maul's first attempt to hunt a jedi. Obi Wan and Anakin (2016), a 5 issue mini series about Anakin and obi wan 4 years after phantom menace, focusing on obi wan's struggle to train anakin. The age of republic one shots - these are series single of one shots focusing on different characters from the prequel era. The Maul one in particular is about the aftermath of the previously mentioned mini series. They did similar one shots for the original trilogy and sequel trilogy characters under the name "age of rebellion" and "age of resistance". Finally I would highly recommend reading the following mini series before starting the 2015 star wars run. Each of the following is a mini series about a main character in the immediate aftermath of the events of new hope (note: luke doesn't get one because his post new hope story was told in a novel called heir to the jedi). The order is as follows: Princess Leia (2015) age of rebellion: han solo (one shot) lando (2015) chewbacca (2015) han solo (2016) heir to the jedi (novel) and then finally we begin the main 2015 runs on star wars and vader as well as eventually the 2016 run on doctor aphra. I have an WIP attempt at an issue by issue reading order for those runs if you're interested. edit: i also have some dc recommendations if you so desire.

With comics, I be interested to see what you think of a Marvel story called Spider-Man: Blue. It’s a sad but good story that showcases an important part of Spidey’s history. Also hoping this would lead to future readings of other Marvel characters. Lol

Matthew Cronin

Obviously there’s other Marvel comics stuff to read but for Star Wars, check out the Star Wars (2015) and Darth Vader (2015) series.
