Another fun episode! You got to see Jason Blood/Etrigan the Demon's origin as to how their souls were bound together by Merlin. I also love that this episode focused a lot on J'onn. Showing how much he misses his home world and family and how he was willing to go against the Justice League to see them again. I also love that we get to see a little more of J'onn's powers since we don't really get to see his powers truly showcased as much in other media outside the comics. Like he is one of the most powerful members on the League that could take on Superman if he wanted to but of course doesn't cause the League are like his family. But it's kind of crazy that through a psychic attack, he was not only able to see into Etrigan/Jason Blood's mind but also turn Etrigan back into Jason. And you mentioning when J'onn was talking to Batman about how he can't imagine what it's like to lose loved ones and what you're willing to do to see them again, that's like the second time where one of the characters mentions something to Batman that he can totally relate to but he just doesn't say anything. The other time was when Hawkgirl was mentioning to Batman how she can't imagine what trauma could do to a child and Batman despite being able to relate to that, didn't say anything. But I do love hearing Bruce saying to Etrigan that he trust J'onn with his life. Showing that even if Bruce is not the type to trust very easily cause of the things he has experienced, he does look at his League members as his friends and knows that he can trust them that they'll be there for him and he'll be there for them. But this was an amazing episode/episodes! Only two episodes left of season 1 (I know they're technically multiple parts but there's basically two episodes left). Can't wait for the next one cause it's another amazing one!

Good reaction! You got to meet another League villain in the comics being Morgaine Le Fay. This episode was basically a follow up to the BTAS episode Demon Within because this show is a sequel to BTAS & STAS. For the most part it’s canon that Merlin binds Jason and Etrigan together for eternity. Jason and Etrigan in someways have a similar dynamic to Bruce Banner & Hulk in that they’re two beings in the same body reluctantly working together for survival. Hulk despite being a different personality of Banner is still considered as his own being with his own agency. Bruce & Hulk did come to terms with each other eventually. Etrigan may come across as rude but like you said he is a demon and one of the more morally grey characters but he was also projecting him & Jason’s shame to J’onn when Le Fay tricked him like she tricked Jason like saying “you’ve betrayed us” similar to the guards in the flashback said to Jason or warn about her tricks. Good way to have these characters connect and understand each other. Also you did briefly saw J’onn’s family in Crisis on Two Earths when he shared his memories to Rose Wilson.

Etrigan's Back To Stop Morgaine No Longer Voiced By Billy Zane Suitable for you to be wearing a Dark Magician Girl shirt for this one. Lots of backstory for Etrigan/Jason Blood, the temptress who ruined him now doing the same to J'onn. Naturally a lot of GoT comparisons as well, Morgaine being from the Arthurian legend that inspired it. Even in the Warlord trilogy, a gritty historical fiction version of Camelot (strong recommend), Morgaine still wears the gold mask to hide a hideously deformed face beneath.

Mage Reacts

Oh wow didn't even realize two episodes left of S1!!!
