I love when the timing works out for holiday reactions. 🥹

Absolutely perfect timing with this episode. I would not be surprised if this episode becomes something you and maybe Caleb watch every Christmas time cause I mean this is such an amazing and beautiful episode. I think even though Batman wasn't present, I do believe in the comics he does spend Christmas time with the Batfamily when he can. But also he's most likely working/on patrol trying to keep the citizens safe during the holiday time. I mean the Batman Arkham Origins game takes place during Christmas with him fending off multiple big villains. So I assume him not being around is him being busy. I loved every part of this episode. From following Green Lantern and Hawkgirl enjoying the snow and then getting into bar fight on an alien planet. To Flash spending time with a bunch of orphans and even getting Ultra-Humanite to help him and getting him a gift in his cell. I'm glad you also read about Ultra-Humanite more so that you can differentiate between him and Grodd since Humanite was a human at first but then transferred his brain around to different bodies before settling for the albino gorilla. Where as with Grodd, he was always a gorilla but gained his intelligence and telepathy powers from I believe a metoerite that landed in a part of Africa, which is now Gorilla City. Plus Grodd is a Flash villain and Humanite is a Superman villain. But probably my favorite part of this episode is having Martian Manhunter being invited to Superman's home at Smallville. I just love that Clark didn't want J'onn to be left out and I'm not surprised that Martha and Jonathan welcomed J'onn and made him feel like family. Honestly it's one of the reasons why I'm glad that James Gunn had both of Clark's parents alive cause I would love for him to recreate or do something similar to this in the DCU for Clark and J'onn (whenever he gets introduced). Also that scene with J'onn going into that little girl's house and taking a cookie, that's a reference to something about Martian Manhunter that is mostly known in the comics and that is his obsession to Choco cookies (which is DC's equivalent to Oreos). But that ending with J'onn holding and petting Streaky in his true Martian form and singing a song in his native language. And yes that is the voice actor Carl Lumbly actually singing it. But I'm so glad you really enjoyed this Meg! This is definitely one of my favorite episodes of the series and now you know why. We only got one last episode or episodes for this season and I'm curious to see what you think. Also I can't wait for you to check out Batman Beyond cause that's a series I've been waiting for you to get into and maybe you can watch it at the same time as Justice League Unlimited. I'm also interested to see what you think of Teen Titans: The Judas Contract as well and whenever you react to Injustice 2 (which I shared the video for you on discord). But thanks for reaction as always!

The story that the toy duck is saying at the end is the Nutcracker. A Christmas tradition for many and a more higher quality Christmas story.

Batman Beyond is cool and I’m sure you’ll love it (Caleb probably too). I’d definitely support that as the next thing you watch but I’d also say JL Unlimited is a can’t miss.

This was definitely a calm holiday episode with the JL just spending Christmas in their own ways. Although I did wonder where Batman and WW were and what they were doing for the holidays too.

The stars align and we get the Justice League Christmas special reaction for the Christmas month. A fine example, divided between three stories sort of like TNBA's Holiday Knights. Interesting how both times the Ultra-Humanite can be reasoned into working with our heroes despite nominally being a genius supervillain. You could never do that with Gorilla Grodd, he's too egotistical. Would've liked to see Batman and Wonder Woman's Christmastimes too, but like most episodes there isn't enough room for the full 7. Just a cute, lighthearted little holiday-flavoured episode for the cast to unwind with before the 3-part season finale hits you like a sleigh full of concrete. That will be the true Christmas present for me and all of us.

So excited for you to watch the season finale!

The pagan traditions weren't copied by Christianity. Christianity was taken over by the Romans who introduced their pagan practices into the religion. It's one of the reasons Protestant's reformation happened...also Puritans.
