HEY MEG!!!😃👋🏿 It's been a while ya know! Also it's about time you finally started Static Shock season two!😁

Superheroesrock_

Been looking forward to this but yea this would take place after batman the animated series but during justice league season 1 so this static episode happens and then the episodes of justice league u watched where joker is part of lex’s injustice gang take place soon after. Its cool cuz batman beyond, justice league and static shock were all airing on tv at the same time so there was endless dc content for us kids back then and kevin conroy was pulling triple duty practically voicing all these shows and films god rest his voice and his soul

Of all the episodes to start with for this new season of Static Shock, this is one that I'm glad you reacted to cause this is the episode that officially makes Static part of the DC universe, specifically the DCAU. All the times you were wondering where certain heroes and characters were in season 1, the reason they never showed up was cause Static was in his own self-contained universe, which is very similar to how it was in the comics initially as the Milestone universe was and has been separate from the DC universe. This is mainly due to the fact that the creators of Milestone own the rights to their characters but DC owns the publishing rights. For a time, the Milestone characters were actually all set in their own universe called the Dakotaverse. In very recent years, DC has begun reintegrating the Milestone characters back into the DC universe after years of being separate. The one shot comic called New History of the DC Universe: The Dakota Incident is really great and it gives an explanation as to why the Milestone characters haven't been seen in the main DC continuity. This was such a fun episode to see Bruce as Batman once again and Tim Drake Robin alongside him. And also to see Joker pop and cause his usual shenanigans. When it comes to the timeline of events for Static in the DCAU, this takes place between the events of the New Batman Adventures and Justice League. So it takes place it what would be the present day and not the future like in Batman Beyond. But I'm so happy you're continuing with Static Shock and Batman Beyond at the same time. It just means we are getting ever so closer for you to watch Justice League Unlimited and I can't wait cause there are some beyond amazing episodes in that series!
