I looove Sam. One of the most underrated characters imo (and also SO handsome). And wow, you were so good at spotting Bucky! I think you're the only person who's recognised him in the dark like that. That was really impressive. For the record, I ship tf out of Steve and Bucky, so as far as I'm concerned, this movie is actually a gay action-romance 😂 Loving this MCU journey with you guys so much! Looking forward to the next one 💙

I am not the type to comment often but I figured I would just let yall know how much I enjoy ur reactions because the thought you both put into characters and what they might represent, especially ur convos about history references and metaphors for mental illness in the films. That said u r also Extremely funny and there was something about this reaction especially that made me laugh harder than most, specifically the moment when natasha said she thought she was going straight when she joined shield and u guys said “shield made her gay :/” “happy pride!!”and when hill shot those two soldiers and ur reaction was “I love how the women don’t care about killing people – That’s Feminism!” anyway ! very much appreciate yalls reactions !

tbh this is where i cant support peggy... she willingly worked with n@zis, specifically arnim zola, who she would know tortured bucky back in ww2. i cant back that.

People are laughing at the queer ships because it completely undercuts his actual relationship with Bucky and his love for Peggy. People who aren't socially mature think that when two people share a deep love for each other it apparently MUST be romantic. Steve and Bucky are an excellent example of "philadelphia" or brotherly love. Non-romantic yet still self-sacrificial.

I definitely appreciate that love doesn't have to be romantic. But in this case, in my opinion, it feels very romantic and sweet. I also dont think it affects his love for Peggy, people can fall in love with more than one person. You don't have to agree with me, but that's just how I see it. There's no reason to shame/laugh at people for wanting to see queer people on the screen/interpreting storylines as such. That's why headcanons exist. It doesn't harm anyone.

Yeah but there are incredibly toxic shippers. Like toxicity is everywhere. And yeah I've seen people who literally just chastise anyone who says anything about their ship other than praise. Yeah shipping is fine, but I think Joel has a point. Sometimes overly shipping people undercuts what their character stands for. Then it becomes about what people want them to be, vs what they actually are. I shipped a hell of a lot when I first watched Legend of Korra. Totally get it and it's fun. But it can sometimes get out of hand and taint the actual art if it goes so far as they act like their way is canon, and disregard what's there. Not saying that's what's happening here at all, but hot damn.. people go really fucking far sometimes 😒 there's just a balance i think between some innocent shipping, and expecting your ship to be real, when there's no evidence pointing to it. Like men can he incredibly intimate with other men without being romantic in nature. Look at Lord of The Rings. Pure brothership in all three movies, although it may feel like more when it's just bros being real bros. That's a beautiful thing.

Aha I know it's not really gonna happen. And I know there's no *real* evidence towards it, and I'm not gonna attack anyone who disagrees. All I was saying is I ship Steve and Bucky and there are a lot of homophobic people that have attacked me in the past for saying so. I'm not disregarding the original art, but I do like to imagine Steve and Bucky together. I enjoy Steve and Bucky's stories, as they are, but I also like the alternate ways it could have gone. I really don't think that's toxic. I'm just a gay dude who wants to see some gay heroes. And that typically means I just have to live in a headcanon. I respect the original script and I am a huuuge marvel fanboy so it's not like the movie's ruined because of it. Like I get it, friends exist, aha. I don't ship Tony and Rhodey, or Jane and Darcy. I don't think my way of interpreting the story is the only correct way, but I'm doing no harm in sharing how I interpreted it.

Just finished it and yeah Winter Soldier is so damned good 👌 Sam is such a good character in ways you don't even know yet. Doctor Strange hasn't happened yet but Zolas algorithm said it could predict people being threats to Hydra. Tony trashed on Steve by telling him everything special about him came out of a bottle. Theres nothing wrong with loyalty, seeing as Cap is loyal to his ideals, now seeing that SHIELD was corrupt. Steve definitely isn't any kind of himbo. He's actually like one of the greatest strategists in Marvel. No he's not a genius academically like Bruce or Tony, but he is a leader, and I know it was probably mostly a joke, but honestly... Thor or Hulk are more himbo than Steve if anything 🤫 Captain America is easily my favorite Avenger. By far. His loyalty to his principles, even if it means betraying his country. Yeah Cap is weak without the serum, but his strong convictions and his beliefs were always there. Hes always been that same man, he was just given the ability to fight. That brothership to the point where he was willing to let himself get beaten to death by Bucky because of how much he believed in him. That's dedication. Thats Lord of the Rings level of love and goddamn it sometimes really does hit harder than romance.

The events of Dr. Strange haven't happened yet. It was Zola's algorithm that picked him out. It was a little Easter egg to tease the future project.

winter soldier has such an amazing plot twist! so glad u didn’t get spoiled. i would say phase 2 is when they first start exploring deeper themes and expanding the universe overall. one suggestion i have for y’all, i would recommend watching black widow before infinity war but SKIP the post credit scene because it spoils a future film. though it breaks release order, it chronologically happens between civil war and infinity war, i think it gives more context to natasha’s story. it should’ve came out in phase 3 tbh, she deserved a film much earlier. i completely understand if y’all just stick to release order but if there is one film to watch in chronological order it’s that one. just remember to SKIP the post credit scene. sending love💕

No need to disagree there's no proof she was ever doing Hydra stuff so you're mistaken. Especially in the Carter show. She's not that type of person. If you mean worked with Zola well they all did and they never suspected he was still doing secret Hydra business. We in the real world worked with former enemies after wars. Theres nothing wrong with that. They just should've been more vigilant.
