loved the reaction. But understand that Ego and Peter were not an allegory for God and Jesus. Yondu (and many other heroes you've seen and will see) best reflected Jesus' own words "There is no greater love than this, that one lays down his life for his friends"

Now you meet the worst parent, or at least someone worse than Odin lol I'm just messing around but Kurt Russell was brilliant at playing this cold hearted monster who really is a slave to his Ego, like to the point of past extremism haha 😅 I also think that your ego doesn't need to be killed neccesarily. The self is an important function, like nearly every thing else within your psyche and your body, ( still don't know what the appendix does though 🤣) it serves a purpose. I think that an important lesson with Ego was actually what stopped him from being a more warm, healthier person. He seemed so obsessed with the idea of meaning. That is certainly important, but whether by the issue of mental instability, or no one guiding him into a better way, his purpose was devoid of all life and connection. Then again, being alone for millions of years could do that to someone, God or human. He missed that a true virtue to live by, something that could serve your purpose, is living your life trying to do right by others, not just yourself. I think he was capable of loving and all, but I think being alone for that long a time will seriously deteriorate someone's thought process. Staying humble is the best way to tame* your Ego, but still allowing it to serve the purpose of having your own personal identity. But humility and a lot of things in life, seem to be learned only by experiencing pain or suffering, which really sucks but thats when connection can mean so much. You are not alone in your suffering. If only someone could have told Ego that. 😬 I think some people didn't enjoy this Guardians as much because the jokes didn't land for all the people but I don't see that, and besides the heartfelt stuff is really where it's at in this movie ❤ Sorry for the rant you just got me thinking lol loved the reaction and I can't wait for Spider-Man Homecoming!
