The first 15 minutes are storytime so feel free to skip ahead if you don't want the tea 🤣And to reiterate, we do plan on returning to the movies soon and alternating! I'm 4 days post LASIK so I'm trying to hold off on long movies until the one week mark :)

Yesss more Daredevil! I know some people will probably be complaining about when you guys will be watching the MCU movies again but you’re health comes first and personally I don’t mind more of this show cause Daredevil is just awesome. Also this episode is the one I was waiting for mainly due to the one shot hallway fight scene. If there was one thing I saw a lot of people talking about when regarding how great this show is, it’s the fight scenes with the hallway fight scene being one of the best and I can see why!

Honestly this episode is one of my favorites. Of course The fight scene was amazing at the end, but the father stuff was so touching. Like at the end, he got that kid home to his dad, when he couldn't see his anymore. It's like you said Meg, using that trauma as fuel. Its not the most healthy thing but it's so beautiful 😍 I'm not so sure it was like bad parenting that Matt stitched up his dad. Obviously he shouldn't have to do that, but I don't think he randomly asked "Hey I need you to patch me up" They seemed to live poor. And when you're living conditions aren't great, sometimes kids have to grow up faster. Should they have to? Of course not. But some of them do. That's the reality for some family homes and that's not all on the parents cause in this case, the dad worked hard. Even took his own losses to make money. Like he's not lazy. Some things just are and it sucks, but even if there are shitty scenarios like a kid having to patch up a dad (a non abusive situation) at least there's still love. Shout out to single dads honestly and dads in general. I know there's some animal parents out there, but they have such a hard job. They have to provide money, plus if they are single dads, it's really hard because they have to also try and emotionally be there for their kids. Like Matt's dad seemed to miss the mom and she seemed to have left them. Plus they have kids now so their own happiness or relaxation is put on complete pause. Thats not the kids fault, just the price of parenthood but still. All parents are gonna screw up in some way. Intentional or not. My parents were split, plus I had to deal with my dad getting married to a witch, and then lost my stepsiblings as soon as I got them through divorce. Long story short I know my dad loves me in his own way, and he's tried and so did my mom. They both stayed so I know they tried. They were still dealing with their own stuff as are we all and I can't fully blame them. Because if i had kids one day, obviously I will make mistakes but I will do all I can to give them love and give them a good life. Sorry for the rant, but it seems like we store a lot of parental issues in this house, and that's okay lol 😆 Rosario Dawson is so amazing 👏 she's in one of my favorite game series 😀 See you guys next episode! This show ramps up constantly! It's so damn good 🥰

I love how much you guys are enjoying daredevil. & the symbolism’s and parallels I love a lot like when Jack is going to go fight they shift to Matt walking down the hallway for his fight looking like a boxer with the ropes on his hands, Matt getting back up from getting hit multiple times same with the enemies they kept getting up & Clair’s explanation of why she trusted Matt was great. not only her job of being a nurse but her being a good genuine person she cares for everyone even the guys Matt beats up she had to fix from the story she was telling him. Such good writing you’ll love the character growth of everyone going forward it’s so good

Concerning the hallway fight. corridor crew did a video on the hallway fight. They did use what's called a texas switch and switched Charlie the actor with Chris the stunt double when he first entered the room. Charlie ran around the set to the door that he merges from to go to the kid's door. Also the camera was on a track above the hallway so camera operators could turn and move the camera very smoothly. The track was then edited out using cgi. I believe they shot this 12 times and used one of the later takes. It has become a staple for this show so evry season has a long one shot fight scene which is very cool can't wait to see more of Daredevil and I'm so happy you're warming up to him

Onno Smits

There's a couple episodes later on in the season where it's very important you understand what they are saying in both Spanish and Russian. Disney+ has a weird error with Daredevil where the Russian parts are only subtitled if you have subtitles turned OFF. If you have English [CC] on then it doesn't subtitle the Russian parts, unfortunately. EDIT: After contacting Disney+, they seemed to have solved this issue! 🎉

Onno Smits

This is that Corridor Crew Stuntmen React video: https://youtu.be/L_LwqMOVHlc?t=439 WARNING: It does have a few short clips of later episodes/seasons of Daredevil, maybe don't watch if you don't want spoilers.
