The Gray Ghost was voiced by Adam West, who played Batman in the 1960s tv series. The way that Simon Trent couldn't find work because of his typecasting as the Gray Ghost was pretty much exactly what happened to West after his show ended. This episode would never have been made if West hadn't agreed to play the part. Fortunately, he was happy to play the role. The episode was intended to honor the earlier noire heroes that inspired the later ones like Batman. He was created in 1939 but he was preceded by the Shadow in 1931 and the Green Hornet in 1936, which were nodded to by the Gray Ghost's name. One final note: Ted the Mad Bomber was modeled after Bruce Timm, the mastermind of the DCAU.

All of this is very true^^^ You should definitely check out Adam West’s Batman at some point Meg. Very goofy and campy Silver Age Batman content, but he’s the OG (aside from the guy who did the really old black and white serials).

This was one of my favorites and might be one of the most impactful. Gray Ghost was voiced by the legendary Adam West who was the actor who played Batman in the classic 1966 live action show. While it was goofy and different than what you expect from the franchise, it was iconic in being the thing that introduced so many people to the character. Having arguely the best actors of the character meet was emotional. ^^

Defiantly one of my fav episodes and I love that the Gray Ghost is jsut voiced by Adam West he was great. & for this show I like that Bruce admired him and modeled his look really after him, in other media they change what movie he was watching it’s usually Zorro but I like that they made their own hero for Bruce to enjoy
