If Bruce was evil everyone would be fucked lol, loving these reactions (:

Yo! Saw the title and was excited. A good episode. Brought back that bad guy from the three part pilot and transformed him into another major recurring enemy of Clark for years, Metallo!!! In other iterations, he literally upgrades to almost a legit buff terminator. Lol

Definitely an interesting episode but you have now met another one of Superman’s villains, Metallo. And also as you said got to see just how much power Lex Luthor has. I can’t wait for your All-Star Superman reaction. I haven’t watched it and only have seen snippets of it but I know the original comic that the movie is based on is one of the best Superman comics done

i apologize for being pushy but please read the All star super man comic first the movie is good but it leaves out a lot of the more quiet emotional scenes from the comic

Naw

METALLO!!!! MEH- FUCKING - TALLO!!! Sorry but Metallo is one of my fave OG Supe Villains!!! ALSO ; this version???!! Voiced by Freaking Malcolm McDowell ?!!!! Like OMG!

I was waiting for this one, it's a standout of S1. The Baldur comparison is very apt. Something you'll see a lot in this show is a human villain who sacrificed something precious in order to gain power rivaling Superman's. Nice continuity bringing Corben back from the pilot episodes to become a major villain. And yes, Luthor is probably the biggest master manipulator in the DCAU.

I loved the Rules Of Engagement graphic novel which pits Lex against Batman directly as Lex tries to take over Wayne Enterprises. Lots of parallels between the two genius billionaires.
