Fun tidbit you mightve missed. Captain America does actually have wings on his head. In the comics, wings are in his helmet, and in the MCU, there are wings designed on his helmet so technically Cap does have wings 😅 Daredevils code is definitely solid. I dont think this will count to him as a kill, or it won't compromise his morals because yeah it was a fight to the death. Not a cold blooded murder. Fisk definitely doesn't have a God Complex, anywhere near like Thanos. That part is more the super villain side of him in fiction. But in the writing, he's basically already become his dad. Plus, he's taking that anger out that he's had that he couldn't take out on anyone else as a kid. I get that moral heroes get frustrating, but there's a point to them. Too much of the murderous "heroes" gets old too but the combination of Batman, and watching Daredevil will definitely wear thin Meg so I get that 😂 The problem with murderous heroes is often they're acting on their inner rage and using that to kill is a recipie for disaster. The taking of any life will blacken your soul and its all too easy to kill. That's why heroes like this don't. They'd become monsters themselves, which is just not worth it because killing doesn't really solve the problem either. There will always be more bad guys and more evil doers so it's that impossible balance.

I love the scene with the priest a lot showing how kind he is and while giving Matt advice feels like their just old friends which they probably are in some form since he said he remembers his dad and Matt as a kid. And I like both types of heroes the ones that kill and the ones who don't like in Assasins creed or Batman its all about how they do the story but mainly for me its about the character if the villian or antagonist and their journey I feel you can get a lot more from the kind of character with morals than the ones who kill, you can make the situations their in more complex I feel but it can be both ways I just think its a more interesting dynamic cause in the main MCU movies everyone be killing the villians and we never see them again lol thats why I love tv shows cause you have more time with that character and if they die in the next episode and have a new villian next season thats fine long as you got a lot of development on that character.

I wouldn't count him "killing" Nobu his main objective was to deflect the spike it just happened to set Nobu on fire, it was purely self defense and there was no malicious intent. The talks with the priest are so beautifully written and made me contemplate my own relationship with religion.

I know I'm late to the party, but I am loving your reactions so far :) You've got a fan here now. Loving your predictions and insights too! I really vibe with the knowledge you bring to the table and your own sensibilities as well! I agree with some of the comments here (and again, it's all up to our own interpretations anyway). But from most comic book and superhero movie "logics", the intent is more what matters in the storytelling for their code to be maintained. From my perspective anyway, in all of these, when a villain dies in a fight with a hero, the writers always show that what killed them was their own action, their own weapon, their own attack, turning against them, and at most, the hero was either trying to save them from themselves, or, merely defending themselves and the attack hurt them. (i.e., Matt deflecting the weapon, it (unintentially) breaking the light bulb, and then sparking the oil) It's a bit of a flimsy way to veer off code breaking, but they've established that Daredevil does everything in his power not to kill with his attacks, so in personal opinion it's a pretty reasonable asumption to make he didn't break the bulb to kill Nobu. But when all is said and done, his action (parrying the weapon) did still end up contributing to Nobu's death.
