Nice crying, big girl! :) Anna is a really interesting character because, I think, of her humanity, in all its aspects, good and bad. I think she believes in the Christian ideals of forgiveness and grace, but like all humans, she is flawed (or maybe in Christian parlance, she's a "sinner," as we all are), and she struggles sometimes to achieve those ideals. But I think that's a great set of principles by which to live one's best life, and a lot closer to the teachings of Jesus that I was raised with, way more so than the judgmental, regimented, "holier than thou" version of Christianity which seems to be favored by a lot of people who call themselves Christians today. I have become more agnostic than anything else over the years, but sometimes I think if there were more practicing Christians these days setting the kind of example that Anna sets, maybe I might have kept my faith a little better than I did. Your thoughts about the friendship between Amos and Prax are spot on, and that evolving relationship is one of the best things about this season. Nice reaction! Now, go ahead and binge a couple dozen episodes, we won't mind! Or, you know, one a week would be fine too. We don't want to wear Caleb out.

"Best show ever" comment... you haven't seen anything yet, but good that we are already at that level! 😉😅 My #1 space battle ever, and that just with 2.5 ships (0.5 for the Razorback, haha). Never imagined seeing a Matrix-style slo-mo 360° (well 270°) no-scope during a space battle. Tip: Not every blue glow automatically means protomolecule... it can just be normal lights. 😉 Oh, and as we are getting close to my favorite episode(s) in history of me watching audiovisual stories on a screen, a suggestion: 1. Watch S3E5+6 together if possible There is another suggestion, some say it can be (very very very lightly) spoilery as it might cause some ideas to form, but in my eyes not following the suggestion can cause a much greater spoiler... up to you if you want to hear the other suggestion or not.

Skip the intro of S3E7, it itself is a spoiler to something later in the show. Can't wait to see your reactions to the rest of the show!

I agree with Phil! SKIP INTRO CREDITS FOR S3E7!

I wouldn't worry too much about people's comments about Naomi being spoilers or anything. Even back when the S2 finale originally aired, there were people really upset with her decision and they're still usually pretty loud about it unfortunately lol. But like with a lot of things in this series, it's a complicated issue and not just black and white. It's true that the Belt has always had it really rough, and from that standpoint Naomi's choice is very understandable. It's also important to note that she was working under the assumption that Earth and Mars already had a sample of the protomolecule because the events of Ganymede seemed to imply that. However, as you very correctly surmised in this reaction, that's not the case. We saw in S2 how those events unfolded and neither Errinwright nor Korshenov (the Martian Vice President) were able to get the Protomolecule from Mao. So it wasn't like Naomi was trying to give the Belt some strategic advantage, she just didn't want them to fall behind in a familiar game that the Belt always ends up losing. But at the same time the Protomolecule is dangerous and no one really understands it. The reason Holden and the crew voted to destroy their sample in the first place (back in S2), was precisely because Fred Johnson was talking about how the OPA should utilize the Protomolecule so that no one could use it against them. And then immediately upon getting the sample, we saw last episode that he crawled into bed with Anderson Dawes to make an alliance. If you give someone a stick, even an underdog like the Belt, inevitably they are going to eventually beat someone to death with it. This is what Alex meant last episode when he asked her if she understood the gravity of what she did and how many people might die now, to which she somewhat brazenly responded "fewer Belters..." I think sometimes on a first watch, it's very easy to pick sides. But one of the many things this show does incredibly well is to give depth to every argument and choice. No one is ever entirely right and no one is ever entirely wrong. Unfortunately the internet being the internet, people on places like YouTube tend to not really get into those nuance sometimes and just default to blindly hating Naomi (or blindly defending her). My recommendation for this show is to always try and take a step back and see both sides of arguments. This is certainly hard to do on a first watch, and even still you will inevitably still disagree with certain people. But I think the writing always does a great job of showing why people do what they do and why they are the way that they are. Even Errinwright and Mao have already demonstrated some justifications for their choices. Anyway great reaction and as others have said, it's great that you're loving the show already, because the best is yet to come!

These reactions are such a joy to watch. The actress who plays Reverend Anna named Elizabeth Mitchell was one of the main characters on Lost, I feel like that's what most of us remember her for. She's one of those actors who's constantly been working in movies and tv for like 3 decades as a supporting character but almost never a main character. I just mentioned that because I loved the tv show Lost growing up and Elizabeth Mitchell is a very underrated actress. Also, now Jules Pierre Mao feels bad? All the terrible things he's done so far: The Cant blown up, the Donnager battleship blown up, 100,000 dead on Eros, almost getting Earth blown up by Eros, and now he feels like "oh this might be a bad idea." I'm not sure what brought on this moment of regret. Was it seeing the kids first hand who he is so willing to make into science experiments? Or was it a the thought that all the terrible things he's done might not yield any scientific breakthroughs or understanding of protomolecule? Or maybe both? As much as I dislike the character it's a fascinating moment. The moment near the end between Amos and Prax is so powerful. It seems like the music which starts around 41:20 is Amos's theme music. It seems like a very sad and haunting tune. Finally, minor correction the dude with Cotyar is an Earther not a Martian. Anyway, these are great, really looking forward to the rest of the series.

Nice reaction as always Meg. I won't try to add to existing comments, they are all great. But, you are going to love season 3!

Just because I'm a contrary bastard, I'm going to say for the record that this "skip the credits" thing, while certainly being the common wisdom, is kind of overblown, in my opinion. Ironically, I think the only reason people who do watch the credits see the "thing in question" as a spoiler is because they were warned in advance not to watch the credits because there might be a spoiler. If you aren't looking for one, you might not even think about it. In any case, you HAVE been told now, so at this point, avoiding the credits is probably is the prudent thing to do.

Phil Rademacher

I didn't notice it, but I've seen a few reactors (and heard several people too) that noticed the spoiler and therefore weren't as surprised.
