Yeah so now we’re close to end, it’s important to now say that in the comics, Simpson is a super villain named Nuke who uses the pills to gain strength so it is easy why to not trust him throughout the show.

Omg! It's been a while since we had a triple upload for anything DC or Marvel but I'm glad you and Caleb were so invested into the show that you guys continued. I'm so here for more of these multi upload reactions if you guys can. Only two more episodes left of season 1 and then you guys can finally watch Daredevil season 2, which I can't wait for! Oh I was looking at the conversation on the next Defenders shows on discord and I'm also very excited for when you guys get to them eventually. Luke Cage is pretty good, at least from what I remember. Season 1 is probably my favorite. And The Punisher I would put as one of my top 3 favorites of all the shows, next to Daredevil and Jessica Jones. I'd even put the opening intro for the show as one of my favorites as well next to DD and JJ. So I'm absolutely hyped for when you guys get to them. Glad you guys are enjoying these Netflix Marvel shows and experiencing not only how dark but especially how well written they are

So fun fact about Simpson. Of course you called it, he's definitely more on the villain side. In the comics, he's known as Nuke. And like here, he's addicted to these incredibly powerful combat enhancers that make it so that he's very strong and can't really feel anything. Simpson is literally a former special ops agent. So yeah, he kills people for a living, that shouldn't be a shocker. The bomb he planted wasn't recklessly going to kill other people (he didn't know about the two chefs that Kilgrave hired) the actions he took while high I mean yeah he takes the blame, but not all of it, cause this shit he's on is clearly way beyond something like Adderall. If its so strong your brain can forget to tell your lungs to breathe? That must mean he and Trish's brain were going literally a million miles an hour if it can forget to use basic bodily functions it does passively. But the actor who plays him is really good at playing that super wired up, version of Simpson. The repeating words is really well done as well. Can't wait for the last two episodes, guys!

It's almost like his brain is moving too fast for empathy to catch up...and his experience likely diminishes his capacity for empathy because he has had to shut it off so often to complete jobs.

I mean maybe, but from what Kozlov mentioned, he's clearly had some issues with the pills before (I think he said there was an incident in Damascus?) So you could only guess what he did with them. Probably killed people that didn't need to be, or caused unnecessary destruction. We don't know exactly what is in those pills, but with a lot of substances, if your body is that stimulated, especially if you're also struggling with an addiction to them, yeah your frontal lobe is turned all the way off 😅 so any critical thinking he should've done by not lumping in Jessica with Kilgrave was just not gonna happen with how many of those pills he had been taking all in the same day.

Oh they absolutely are! The rest of the Defender shows are amazing! And while different cause it’s animated and not as “adult” as these shows, the Justice League and Justice League Unlimited shows are also written incredibly well too. But you already know how awesome the DCAU shows are from watching BTAS and STAS. JL and JLU will be a culmination of BTAS and STAS. As well for shows that you haven’t watched yet like Batman Beyond and Static Shock, which take place in the same universe. But I know you’ll watch them eventually. And with the pace you’re going at lately, we’re getting so very close!
