There is a movie called Superman Red Son but its not what you think its more of time period piece. But Red son is what Krypton had if their sun was yellow then they'd all have powers but since Krypton is gone no more red sun

I was hoping we'd get a DC reaction today whether it was STAS or Superman vs The Elite animated movie. While I'm hyped for your reaction to the movie, I can wait a bit until then. This episode shows another one of Superman's weaknesses, a red sun/red solar radiation. While it doesn't completely depower him, the more he is exposed to a red sun, the more his powers diminish. It's also the same type of sun that Krypton had which is why none of them had any powers on their planet. But if you were to put all the Kryptonians under a yellow sun, they would all have Superman's powers. Luminus is actually just an original character for the show and isn’t in the comics. Though the powers/tech he uses against Superman reminds me of two other villains from the comics. Those being Mirror Master and Doctor Light. From where you are with both BTAS and STAS, I absolutely can't wait for your reactions to the next episodes for both shows. The next BTAS episode is a personal favorite of mine and the next STAS episode is also a favorite of mine and just a banger of an episode that I think you're really going to love and I'm curious to hear your thoughts on after. Also to add on to what Naruto said about Superman: Red Son, that is an Elseworlds story, just like Gotham by Gaslight. So you can technically react to that movie whenever as it's not connected to any of the shows you're watching. It's also a very interesting story since it is a time period story and not what you think it is compared to what you saw in this episode. But I also want to add that the original comic and movie are sort of different as the movie changes some things from the comic. Would love to see your reaction to the movie and hearing your thoughts from not just the movie but the comic as well whenever you read it and see which one you like/prefer more

Yeah so the color of a star dictates its radiation levels. Under a yellow sun, Kryotonians gain superhuman abilities like Superman, but under a red sun they’re basically just like humans. Krypton had a red sun, which was something they highlighted in Man of Steel. Also, Superman: Red Son is a different thing, but I HIGHLY recommend you watch it soon. It’s so so so good.

It's funny because in Season 4 of Batman the sky in Gotham is usually red too, but that seems like more of a visual effect than something unnatural. Another villain rematch, Luminous having become a fully-formed villain after his first episode where he was just Lois' stalker. Still makes the rookie mistake of playing with his food though. The holograms remind me a bit of Mysterio from Spider-Man. Can't wait to see your reaction to Superman vs. The Elite, as it's one of my favorite DC films.
