Amber

A long arc but a worth it arc! Thankfully it just keeps getting better (imo) 😄

Jack SV

THE BEST DAD IN ANIME IS HERE!!! 🐗 🐗 🐗 🐗 🐗 🐗 🐗!!! WHAT IS RAISING A SON? NOBODY GOT TIME FOR THAT!!! YEAH!!!( I’m being sarcastic btw.. I’m a bit drunk.. don’t bully me.. pls ..)

alon

lola’s face lmaoo i bet she was so excited

Sam

Resisting the urge to skip the discussion and the whole episode right to the outro 🤣

SoClose

Oh they’re gonna love this arc ☠️

HenryM

We all saw this thumbnail coming from a mile away 😄

bondbond53

Look how happy they are to see him

Aglio Olio

They waited a while for this lol, not like most of us who binged this anime.

Harfie

daddy's home! lmao

Ashley hui

This ep (Reina reunited with her mom) always gets me 😢😢😢 I am a sucker for mother-daughter plot

David Brown

Fact: Reina (Kite kimera ant) is Meruem's twin sister.

Harfie

100% agree on the kite thing. I was so shocked and disappointed when I found out he's alive lol.

CsrM40

APARECIO EL DESGRACIADO!

Harfie

you girls are sooo smart in your insights. You make me go girl powerrrrrr<3

Arcturus

Este capítulo es la cereza del pastel. Cierra emotiva y perfectamente todo el arco.

Kizaru

You girls are gonna be really shocked with how good and packed the last arc is, kinda underrated imo, but probably top 3

jweher

this next arc is sooo good, and it's gonna be particularly satisifying for the girls. i'm so excited

SwampFox95

From what I remember, they’re going to be very happy with this next arc.

Gaboxxy

This episode is technically not part of the Chimera Arc, but it's kinda the epilogue to it.

Junkboy

Great response and great insight into the future of this arc! I hope you guys enjoy it because while short it's a wild ride.

Shivering King Banana

Everyone talks about the Chimera Ant Arc but this arc coming up is my favorite.

Yū Nishinoya

that's wrong and also I don't understand why you wrote this spoiler and why it's getting liked. Thank you for the edit, I hope they didn't read it

Kizaru

I just found out amazing news about HxH. Apparently the manga will resume very soon and it won't have any hiatuses for a while!

Amber

Why even type out any of this? To end it with "oh that's a spoiler" like? It's ok to keep things to yourself sometimes to allow them to enjoy the story as it comes

SoClose

When Pitou realized she couldn’t resurrect Kite, it’d make sense for her to at least feed his brain to the queen. Because why wouldn’t she? It’s their literal job. Given that she’s the character that told Meruem it’s the most delicious and nutritious part of the human body. Also calls back to the time when Meruem said he was occasionally treated with multiple rare humans while he was in her belly. So we literally have all the prerequisites perfectly established for that narrative to make sense. But since Togashi’s brain works like a labyrinth, the mf had to make it more complicated that it needs to be.

Shivering King Banana

What's a spoiler after this even? Unless I missed something we get no further information about how crazy slots operates.

refo44

Do you remember your first impressions of Morel? It's so funny!

Wallas

This reaction was so relatable, I cried like a child at the scene with Reina and Killua, and I ended the episode laughing like a crazy person with Ging appearing as if nothing had happened with a smile on his face... how I love this show

Wallas

Kite's situation is complicated to explain....we'll talk more about this later

Rahaf

Omg they will not be able to survive the last two episodes 😭😭

Nina

Lol you can't not speculate on Kite, we'll see what that situation is all about. I honestly forgot this episode a bit but Reina's reunition with her mother is one of my favorite scenes in the entire arc because it very cleanly messages to the viewer what the point of the entire arc was by showing you a mother who accepts her child no matter what she looks like or what she's gone through, exemplifying both the humanity in humans and chimera ants. Also I think you'll really love this final arc (of the anime), it includes some of my favorite scenes.

SoClose

^ You literally can’t prove that. There’s no panel in the manga that remotely suggests that. There’s more concrete facts that are already established that reinforces this idea that she fed his organs to the queen. It makes way more sense than (SPOILER) ; “Oh it’s because of Kite’s power…” Then just have no explanation of how it works. And which btw, is just Ging’s guess. He actually wasn’t there. The mental acrobatics it would take to make the logistics of that power work within Nen rules is a lot. But go ahead try. Make it make sense.

Rahaf

Btw! The episode previews at the end of the episode are narrated by Gon and Killua (most of the time) as if they were doing a voice over, so it's not always relevant to the coming episodes and sometimes it's about the episode we just watched. For example, in the preview following episode 131, Gon is saying "I never got to say this, Killua, but thank you for everything." And in episode 87, the preview was just Gon and Killua tickling each other and laughing So it's quite random, and often cute to listen to

ODIS

Kite was born as a literal baby though, not like other ants, who seemed to come out looking like adults (even Colt). So its important to remember that. And he was born at the same time as the king.

Yū Nishinoya

I always thought it was funny that Bizeff slips free and forms a weird little pack with Welfin and Hina. He’s the kind of character you’d expect the story to punish for being such a creep, but Hxh doesn’t treat him with much hostility at all. He gets off pretty easy. It feels on brand though, the show always has this impartiality for the morality of its characters.

Yū Nishinoya

As ridiculous as this show is, it's moral ambiguity to the fates of characters gives HxH a touch of realism many shows lack.

Totally, It gives the show such a specific tone. Like there is no decisive narrative that we are meant to perceive the characters through. They just kind of exist in their world as they are.

Ammar gayal

Hey man don't jinx it 😭, but yeah we are at least getting 10 more chapters. Hopefully more

David Salazar

people always sleep on ep 136! I love this ep

bondbond53

Too late probably but don’t watch the OP for the bext arc until episode 141

Rare

Welfin: "Why would I get revenge for Gyro, who isn't even dead? What am I doing? I don't want to die!" Gon: In the arc where even Bizeff the political criminal gets a "good" ending, it's just so funny to me that Gon only needed to wait another day. I think Togashi definitely has something to say about humans and revenge.

karina

Kite situation is complicated so...

Rare

I’m also starting to think Pituo fed the Queen only his brain and kept the empty husk as a puppet.

karina

Always grateful with the hatred for ging 🫶🏻🫶🏻 finally dad of the year comes to show his face

StrawHat

this arc is soo good and very underrated

Sebastian

had the same initial misgivings about kite reveal as they did. by the end though i was fine with it and any qualms were overshadowed by all the highlights of this arc

Mra Keung

While the last arc is no chimera arc. It is still really good. Cannot wait for the next few episodes.

sim a

Gin is probably laughing because he doesn't know about Gon's current situation. I don't want to see Gin's sad face when he finds out about Gon.

Jorginho

Well first of all it does not even make sense its just sth writer came up with so he gets away with a plote hole and what kind of spoiler is it like who cares if he gets revived with his ability or not the main thing is that he is back as a chimera ant it does not matter how Togashi just wanted him back and made a stupid excuse

JATLA

So strange seeing yous crying for Ging🤣

Max__

bro what are you even saying? this is a straight up spoiler, just please delete your comment

Darrach

I loved this episode, it really packs a punch. The reunion with Reina and her mother is a great conclusion to one of the first moments in the arc. I think with what resonates with the girls, the next arc will be greatly appreciated by them. *SPOILER* Any sibling stuff always seems to affect them a lot, especially Milena. I also remember that Lola specifically wanted someone to put Ging in his place. Can’t wait for that reaction!

Edward Worrall

funny i find this kind of storytelling moving as well. the way they started the arc and bookended it with the same characters gave it a really special feel. i understand the idea that its a long arc but for me the patience of the storytelling makes the most compelling moments really shine.

sunshine

final arc of the series!! excited to see more of your reactions to ging, he's really something. also while I'm at it, here to recommend my fav anime steins;gate to watch after ranking king for the second time! its in the top five anime of all time on MAL [the anime IMDB], 24 eps only, dont think I'll do it justice but I'll try. its a fantastically written, deeply, deeply emotional sci-fi story thats better left completely untold, basically you have this group of friends led by the extremely eccentric mad scientist okabe who hangout in their lab carrying out scientific experiments in order to revolutionize the world when they accidentally invent something that does just that like never ever before. whats awesome is that the science is explained so thoroughly its almost believable. it starts slowburn and slice of lifey but all for a purpose later revealed. like atla, fmab, and hxh, the cast is very lovable and well-written, I especially adore the dynamics in this anime, they're the most fun and endearing I've probably ever witnessed, the main character is hilarious, he has unique and exciting interactions with all the characters. the dialogue is one of my favs, more exciting than most action scenes for me personally. also I gotta mention that there's a character who's the most wholesome, adoptable thing ever that you'll just adore. one last thing! the production is masterclass, music, direction, cinematography , etc.. and also it has a lot of the themes you mentioned you love but wouldn't wanna spoil!

Will

This episode always hits me harder then The King’s death

Yū Nishinoya

yes, she is. But the girls thought they were calling Reina "Hina" and they got confused

Ryan Peters

I have never, not once, made it through the Reina scene without crying....that is still true today 🥲

Yū Nishinoya

don't you think that their reactions are better when nobody prepares them to the episodes they have yet to watch (like for this one) or spoilers them things that are unveiled later in the arc as you did with your comment...?

Ken Drummer

I’m not sure it was ever explained what really happened to Kite. What I said was just speculation by some fans.

Daiga54

Pretty sure that is brought up in the show cause I haven't seen any fan theories or the manga and I know this

Korin

delete this please its literally not speculation its explained in the anime.

Ken Drummer

Sorry @Korin and @HgPt I deleted it. I really thought it was just fan speculation and never explained. I would hate to spoil anything for the girls. Thanks for letting me know.

Gaboxxy

it's the same with Diego (the dictator). The dude was described as an horrendous tyrant, yet he was able to get away of all the violence and live a life of peace and serenity with his dog and writing poetry. Meruem cause the death of thousands of people, including personally killing a child, yet he was able to spend his last moments in peace with the person he loved the mosto. I think HxH not really about being punished for your bad deeds, but to be able to make peace with yourself after it all. You can't change your past, but you can work on a better future.
