as always don't kill each other in the comments, and thank you robert for helping with the choices

Swaybez

Watch PLUTO or MONSTER

Joaquín Calderón

Banana Fish it’s finished, and we don’t have any other info about Frieren S2

mundanelotus

I think the answer is obvious but all choices are valid/great

Scar Xel

No Jujustu kaisen ? Rahhh 🥲

Sergeant Jay

My vote is for Frieren, trust me girls when I say you will absolutely love this show with all your heart. One of the best first seasons I’ve seen so far.

Koosen

Frieren all the time, it’s gonna be amazing

Horizon xkuni

If you know ball, you’ll go steins gate 🙂‍↕️

Blessèd

Steins Gate 🙏🙏🙏

Jack SV

Welp… we know what’s winning lol idk if we should still vote or not. Sad to see Pluto is not here considering that one is peak and is also a shorter anime. Well Frieren fans y’all got it.

wing-yi

AHHH they're all such great choices!! Might be recency bias as I'm also currently watching Frieren and LOVING it, so that'll probably be my pick for you two... Banana Fish has a special place in my heart though and I'd also love to see your reactions <3

Shivering King Banana

COWBOY BEBOP I DIDN'T EVEN THINK THIS WAS POSSIBLE LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

Promethaeos

Oh well… whatever happens, happens

Dammy Oshikoya

Banana Fish is one I hope they watch one day b/c man oh man, talk about a crime drama

YawnSong

Bebop lets goooo. Truly one of the greatest series of all time in my opinion. Animated or not. everyone should see it.

Seni Adeyemi

Cowboy Bebop but also Steins;Gate. You guys will love Steins;Gate but Cowboy Bebop is generational.

Jack SV
>>141546209

I haven’t watched that one.. is it good? I keep reading good things about it and people seem to put that anime in a higher tier regarding old animes.

Francesco Balducci

I voted Cowboy Bebop because it's a classic, because Lola would totally vibe with the music, and because they enjoyed the Expanse. But I heard good things about Frieren being a wholesome and sad-but-sweet story.

Jay

Frieren will probably win cause its more popular right now, but Bebop is so goated

sakurabraus

Not pluto, not erased, not psycho pass...🥲 Hoping more than ever that monster will be the next long anime lol

Alex Doyle

All great options to be honest - I'm happy no matter what wins!

refo44

Hahahaha don't kill each other in the comments. Remember: "You have no enemies"

Dammy Oshikoya
>>141546209

It’s the definition of a crime drama anime done right. Give it a watch b/c there eps in which leave you on a major cliffhanger that will make you want to continue the next ep. Personally, never fully watched Stein Gate, gave it a shot and it wasn’t my cup of tea and it’s an old anime.

David Salazar

Will always vote Steins Gate but Frieren is amazing as well. In the past I've on watched reactors for HxH, Vinland and Steins Gate. Frieren is now added to that list. Steins Gate however is basically complete after the first season

Aris

I'd love to see a Stein's gate dub reaction. If you are ever planning to do one again this is a good one. It has fantastic voice acting and direction and helps in making a reference-heavy show a lot more understandable for western audiences. It's also a show you need to pay close attention to or you might get lost, so removing the language barrier helps a lot.

Isaiah Cox

All right I don’t really care for any of these shows which one should I vote for that they’ll like the most?

ridleymon

Woah!! Didn’t expect to see bebop. I’d be super surprised to see it win but I hope so

refo44

All are great options! The only one I haven't watched yet is Banana Fish but is in my list of anime to watch.

Jack SV
>>141546209

Fair enough. I will put it on my list because I also like crime related content with a good mixed of drama.

veljko Milosevic

i thought u guys were interested in haikyuu/monster/jjk?

Paqi

I voted Frieren over Bebop, but I'd love to see both

Kaycee
>>141546546

That’s subjective haha. I’ve seen all these shows and I personally think they’d like frieren the most.

Jack SV
>>141546820

That’s for the longer anime slot. This is for the shorter anime slot. Monster and the other anime that are longer will be put into a poll once they are done with HunterxHunter.

Zhuoli

Vote Frieren guys plz for the lord of god

sunshine

FELLOW LAB MEMBERS, WE'VE GOT THIS!! WE'RE MAD SCIENTISTS, ITS SO COOOL. EL PSY KONGROO

Robert H.

Sorry Banana Fish, but I'm trying to stop Frieren.

sunshine
>>141546197

seriously I'm so happy about it, even tho my choice is steins;gate, they need to experience that unique 90s charm and soul

Anto

Ffs, Banana Fish has no reasonable way of winning this poll but it's an amazing show.

Kaycee
>>141546023

Jjk will be in a longer anime poll. This is for a short anime

Harman

could we have 'the last kingdom' as an option on the poll for a longer series?

sakurabraus
>>141546172

Yeah... Good for frieren fans I guess but it's not even a short anime, I would have love for them to watch pluto considering that we may not get monster until another year 😭

ReactorHero

Assassination Classroom plzzzzzz EVERYONE VOTE THIS UP

Amber

Banana fish one day I hope 😭😭🙏🙏

Kaycee
>>141546172

Even though haikyu will probably win that poll im trying to be optimistic about monster winning fr 😭

Finn

frieren sweep frieren sweep frieren sweep frieren sweep frieren sweep

Robert H.

Wait, you took the exact top 4 from the short anime poll :D I'm submitting a complaint for Odd Taxi. It has just as many votes as Banana Fish, it's just alphabetically one place behind. And it has cute talking animals that drive taxi and go about their normal daily lives :D

sunshine
>>141546015

monster will be for the long anime poll after hxh, this one only short anime

Tom

If Frieren doesn't win I'll eat my hat because we all know they will adore it.

Juniper

is this for ranking of kings replacement or hxh? or will there be another poll for hxh replacement

RI RI
>>141547565

odd taxi is definitely deserved. It it such a great show

sunshine
>>141546525

bebop is phonemenal in everything, direction, music, characters, aesthetic, worlbuilding, freaking soul, but its not story driven so its not some people's cup of tea.

Kaycee
>>141547667

This is for Rok. Hunter Hunter poll will come later when it’s over

Arctic_stark

I really like this poll because they’re all on my list of anime I want to watch.

Finn
>>141546402

i dont even think its recency bias to say frieren had one of the best anime seasons of all time

refo44
>>141546172

Mmm I'm not sure. If the include JJK the votes for Haikyuu will split. And Monster vs Haikyuu it will be a pretty narrrow margin between them.

DrM

Just a reminder that you should watch first 4 episodes of Frieren in 1 sitting (it's designed as a 2-hour premiere) 🙏

sunshine
>>141546546

I dont have a single doubt in my mind steins;gate will soar into their fav shows of all time

Shivering King Banana
>>141546197

Frieren is pulling ahead would change your vote to Bebop since it's ahead of SG? I'll change to SG if it pulls ahead of Bebop.

GCS

Cowboy bebop is such a gem but if they are going to watch a 90s anime then evangelion is the most interesting choice

Robert H.
>>141547565

Banana Fish and Odd Taxi are both in the crime genre, although Banana Fish is a little more serious and also uses the more real scenario. Odd Taxi goes the Zootopia route, replacing people with animals, has a very slow and quiet start, an interesting narrative perspective and is sometimes a bit funny because we have animals instead of people. A chubby walrus can make you laugh more easily just with walking around.

Jack SV
>>141546172

We can’t give up hope MonsterBros! We need to manifest that monster will win! We need to believe!

Shivering King Banana

SG and Banana fish voters, please change your vote to Bebop. Not trying to be bossy but I bet fans of those two shows would like Bebop more than Frieren.

Kaycee
>>141546546

Nah it’s just my opinion. Frieren has a female lead which they love and has similar themes to violet evergarden which they absolutely adore. Also has found family which is another thing they love in shows lol I mean I’m obviously not the only one who thinks they’d love it 😭 I like steins gate as well.

Isaiah Cox

With these results you might as well just have put Frieren on the poll 4 times 😭

Nyeisha Melvina Clark

Now this is a hard one. I genuinely love both Frieren and Cowboy Bebop.

sleepymiffi

BANANA FISH!!! they’ll loveeeeee it. they’ll get emotional too obviously, it would be such a great choice for reactions…..

Robert H.

If Monster loses the Long Anime Poll, I want to see Odd Taxi, Banana Fish, Pluto, Erased and Psycho Pass in the next Short Anime Poll, for the crime-thriller element. :D

sakurabraus
>>141546172

True but jjk is not going in the next poll they said they want to wait for s3, they still can change theirs minds though

Jack SV

It’s over for the rest of us who don’t like Frieren… we tried bros ( T_T)＼(^-^ ) see y’all in the next poll whenever that is next year lol

Lauraa Rodríguez
>>141548298

if you can assure me youll vote for haikyuu so that LM can have what theyre excited for Ill change my banana fish vote to Bebop 🙂‍↕️

Sergeant Jay
>>141548627

Robert I’m 50/50 on monster and haikyuu, I want them to watch haikyuu but at the same time I feel like supporting my monster bros, they been waiting for years. I don’t know what to do. ( Bros Before Shows ) haha

Hollow
>>141548144

I like Evangelion a lot, I even rewatched the entire show and Rebuild movies this year. But having watched them for years now, I genuinely don't think these two would enjoy it very much. Could be wrong, though.

Lauraa Rodríguez
>>141548627

i, a haikyuu fan, been waiting for years too 😭😭 and i kinda want to give in to what lm are more excited to watch too; bc I too wanna watch monster

RepliCant

FRIEREN!!! FINALLY!! <3

refo44
>>141548627

I feel the same about Monster and Haikyuu. I'm really not sure which one I will vote. I hope they watch both.

M. M.
>>141548144

I don't either. I think they'd genuinely enjoy Cowboy Bebop though

M. M.
>>141548673

Honestly, they just need to get it over with cause the fans for that mid show are rabid. Monster, Cowboy Bebop, Steins Gate are all much more up their ally.

person
>>141546546

I agree with Kaycee I think they would love Frieren the most

Robert H.
>>141548673

28 Episodes = 28 Weeks = 7 Months. So we will get January/February 2025 a new chance. Frieren simply delivered too well with its first season, dethroning even Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. No chance against it. The fact that it's still 0.26 points above FMAB with 9.09 is unbelievable. For comparison: 18 other anime are ranked between 8.83 and 9.09 (another 0.26 points).

sunshine
>>141548650

thats the trend nowadays, the new popular shows skyrocket all the way up for a couple of months because of recency bias or the fact that more people have watched them, does it mean they're better than all the great classics? not really, but they're good.

penguikiss

nooo, all we needed is to stop Frieren until the next big arc gets adapted

sunshine
>>141548298

anything over frierin my man :,) but I'm a lab member in my heart and soul

Trevor Gallucci

It’s sad, I like frieren; but I feel like we can get some great discussions out of cowboy bebop. Haven’t seen steins gate and I know they would like banana fish; but I just don’t think it’s popular enough to win a poll.

Robert H.
>>141547912

I think Banana Fish and Cowboy Bebop just have very similar fans. If you can only vote for one, then for most people it will be Cowboy Bebop.

Komikall

Banana fish is very surprisingly low voted. That is pretty shocking to me. Cool to see what people want you to react to though. I think Frieren would be up your alley based on the few episodes I've seen.

David Brown
>>141548144

Jack SV
>>141548673

Quick question because you are reliable Robert.. I keep reading this show might have a second season next year.. you think that season will premiere before the other poll is here? Because that would mean Frieren might stay longer in this slot then ;(

Nina
>>141549707

They don't always do polls for replacements, if they feel really strongly about something they'll just pick it. Cowboy Bebop will eventually win in a poll anyway.

David Brown
>>141546525

Totalmente de acuerdo. Es una historia, como decirlo... Hay que meterle cabeza

vegetable

its not fair, recent shows always win the polls, literally everything else on the poll is better written than frieren, cowboy bebop and steins;gate are on a whole other level

David Brown
>>141546074

No me extraña que este ese anime. Es bueno, pero no tanto como otros. Para animes cortos yo sigo insistiendo en ANOHANA

Robert H.
>>141548673

Frieren Season 2 will certainly be in production for two years. I expect it to be at the end of 2025, if not mid-2026, unless Madhouse focuses on a faster production with a larger team due to its success.

Robert H.
>>141546546

@Kaycee And it's a world that is very much based on Lord of the Rings, which I'm sure Lola will also like.

Jack SV
>>141548673

Thanks Robert then there is hope we won’t see a second season next year 🙏

Finn
>>141548650

getting top 1 is a trend but staying there for half a year (with a 0.25 lead) definitely is

Kaycee
>>141546546

Yes! As much as Lola speaks of lord of the rings I knew she would really like this show. I don’t think they’ve reacted to fantasy anime like this so it would be cool.

Finn
>>141550140

frieren completely different show from cowboy bebop, way more impactful + i believe people when they say steins gate is good but i dropped it for now after like 7 episodes, just couldnt get into it

Kaycee
>>141547565

I would love to see odd taxi on a poll I feel like not very many reactors watch it. It’s super unique!

Lauraa Rodríguez
>>141550140

your opinion isnt a universal truth. If frieren is so requested, its because it is liked. Vote for whatever you think theyd enjoy, but do not look down on other people's preferences bc you do not like them. It is fair and square.

Robert H.
>>141548650

You're right about that. That was the case with Oshi No Ko because of the damn good first episode, but while the anime was still running, and especially the three months after that, the anime kept dropping because the following episodes just weren't as good as the first. With Frieren, on the other hand, it's been three months since the last episode and it's still holding up. In a year's time it might be between FMAB and Steins Gate, but it will certainly remain in the top 3.

KILL MY HEART KILLUAA

helloo L M im voting steins gate ! thank you for placing it on the polls, im here to tell you that we steins gate believers are still here from years ago ! 💙 we remember when it was on a very old poll

Lauraa Rodríguez
>>141548650

nope, this has never happened, so not a trend. The trend is skyrocketing with the first episodes (happened with oshi no ko and with fruits basket and more) but FMAB would always retake the spot. Theres a reason frieren has mantained such a better score than the rest of them for so long; and its not because of a trend.

Jack SV
>>141550140

Nah to be fair there is always recency bias to shows that are new which is understandable but at the same time I agree..if it wins on the poll(which is obviously going to win..) then it’s fair. That’s just how it is. Let fans of that show enjoy it with the girls and let’s hope for the rest of us a better winning chance next time. Enjoy the reactions of the girls Frieren fans, y’all are winning fair and square.

penguikiss
>>141550140

@vegetable I watched Bebop and I'm sure they would like it, but IMO it's worse choice than Frieren for this channel specifically. What they love the most in shows is the characters, and (minor COWBOY BEBOP SPOILERS next) in CB main character and villain barely get explored, the relationships between some characters just do not hit (as they are not well developed in my opinion). Btw I know that's the whole point - this anime overall is more style over substance, but we also know what the girls would prefer for sure.

Sereeh

The new anime will win against the classics again :(

Project Mayhem

Steins;Gate is my favorite anime of all time

Sazid Rahman
>>141548144

You are wrong. Evangelion is the exact thing that goes with their choice and personality. Shinji is their kind of character.

Robert H.

I was right: If Frieren is in the poll, then it doesn't need a poll. When I saw in the Short Anime Poll that Frieren had twice as many votes as the second-placed anime, it was already clear :D https://strawpoll.com/jVyG8zwPYn7/results

Abdus Samad

Take it there will be another poll for second anime ?

PennGillette

These choices dont have nothing on Steins Gate!

Shivering King Banana
>>141550140

penguikiss I couldn't disagree more. The core of Cowboy Bebop is it's characters. It's about how people can move on after they've lost everything. Every episode explores how different people deal with that, from the main characters to the villains.

Robert H.
>>141547667

After Cyberpunk, they made a decision and simply decided that they wanted to see Violet Evergarden and Ranking of Kings. In retrospect, I liked it because it gave me a reason to finish watching the anime (I had stopped at episode 8, just didn't have time and then didn't start again) and I was able to fall in love with the characters.

Sazid Rahman
>>141546172

Please don’t let a sport anime win. It’s all good but I wouldn’t like to watch reactions on them.

vegetable
>>141550140

nobody's lookind down here, I'm pointing out a fact, look at all the previous short anime polls, we older anime stans have been here for ages, but what always wins? ranking, violet, cyberpunk, did anything old win? no, is that fair?

vegetable
>>141550140

also I'm voting for what I 100% believe they'll enjoy the most, I dont vote for favs they wont vibe with

Robert H.
>>141550140

Hunter x Hunter is old and won :D But it's also a battle shonen anime.

Sazid Rahman

Steins Gate and Cowboy Bebop splitting their votes. Making Freiren win this one. Those who wanna stop Freiren just vote for Bebop.

vegetable
>>141550140

its different with long anime polls, because most newer anime are relatively short in comparison

Lauraa Rodríguez
>>141550140

I understand that, and I feel you, but stating that everything else is better written than frieren sounds like looking down to me, to the people who actually like frieren.

Gabriel Barott
>>141548673

Man, yall are really butthurt over this. So much so, that you don’t want Frieren to have a second season next year? It is not this deep.

Chinese rice

Lmao the poll is serious business

Isaac
>>141547911

I usually push this, but I don't think it's necessary for LM. Given their review format, it may be more valuable to watch the episodes split up

Robert H.
>>141547197

I am not against Frieren. I'm just in favor of waiting for the second or third season. :D

stfucedric
>>141550587

Most people here understand that JJK might not be of interest to them considering it's mainly about action/fights and stuff. I personally love it and it's in my Top 10, but they typically like shows that capture other aspects, JJK was in one of their polls like 3 years ago but it came dead last to like 3 others. I personally think it wouldn't be such a bad idea but idk if many people would agree

Isaac
>>141548673

And that's if they were lucky with scheduling. The Frieren team might already have projects that come before S2 work.

Gabriel Barott

For anyone who is upset about the poll, let me just remind you that it’s not that deep. 👍🏻

Robert H.
>>141548650

FMAB is peak fiction, without any question. But Frieren is in no way inferior. Frieren just doesn't focus on a big plot, as FMAB did, but puts the characters even more in the center than FMAB already did.

Jack SV
>>141548673

Is not that I don’t want that anime to have a second season .. I will be honest I don’t care much for it but I don’t want it to hold the short slot spot for that long because that would mean the other animes will never see another chance for a long time lol y’all can have your second season. As a matter of fact I hope y’all enjoy it better than the first one.

HeavenlyR
>>141550140

To be fair vegetable, ranking and violet never won an actual poll, they just decided they were going to watch both of those shows and we only got to decide in which order Cyberpunk was also mainly put up against new shows except for Your Lie in April

Melkor

I know Lola and Milena won’t see this but I’ll keep posting and hope they do one time because this show is another one that’s extremely extremely underrated on a level most people don’t understand. Hope you consider it for the long show polls one day. One day I’ll bribe or keep praying that Lola and Milena will try out and react to one of the highest ranked anime of all time on AOT or even higher level. That show is Legend of the Galactic heroes but it’s old and very few have seen it but it’s got a disgustingly high ranking for a reason I would hope it gets more love one day. Until then I hope it will be a choice people pick eventually. Without spoiling it’s a show like Star Wars, game of thrones and Star Trek with politics, philosophy and history mix and amazing characters. Please consider this show at least cus I know you would like it. (Also there’s 2 movies made to watch/react to before you start the main show)

craftmania
>>141550140

Both Steins;Gate and Cowboy Bepop are slightly overrated. Still good shows, perhaps great, but Frieren is better than the two of them

Robert H.
>>141550140

I'm quite happy that the anime are getting shorter. Many anime, even those of the battle shonen genre, rarely get over 100, let alone 200 episodes. Naruto could also be told in 200 episodes if you cut out the filler, didn't show a flashback for the twentieth time and generally told some things a bit faster. One Piece is the worst candidate of the old shonen anime due to its weekly release. The fact that an anime episode only adapts half a manga chapter without bringing anything new, while you could theoretically adapt 3 to 5, just shows once again how unnecessarily stretched One Piece is. The remake, which will soon run in parallel (a remake that is released before the predecessor is even finished is also something completely absurd), will fortunately rectify this problem.

penguikiss
>>141550140

Shivering King Banana, I'm glad that you had that impression. Overall I liked the episodic structure of the anime, and maybe in some way it's a product of its time, but for me it just can't replace a bigger storyline and character relationships developed over tens of episodes. Like for example - the final arc of Cowboy Bebop was peak, but it would be even better if we spent more time with those characters and getting to know some of them more.

Jay Craig

Great choice everyone. Frieren the obvious short anime slot. Spoken as someone who remembers when Steins;Gate technically won the poll versus Mob years ago. One of my favourite anime ever, but absurd to think the choice now isn’t Frieren. ….now just get Haikyuu! right….

uJrath
>>141548650

watched both and i’m just a bigger fan of character stories like frieren, fma might check a lot of boxes, but there’s definitely some nostalgia bias towards it

Melkor

On this list it’s an easy choice but oh well won’t win. Cowboy Bebop a classic gotta get my vote but also surprised to see it lose.

Danny

all good shows. personally Frieren just cuz its more recent. The others were a while back so i forgotten some of it.

HenryM

Cowboy Bebop? I can't believe it

Harfie

I’m shocked banana fish made it to this poll. So it’s going to have to take my vote.

Melkor
>>141553985

Don’t give me false hope just don’t. I’ve been heartbroken too many times. 😭 For real tho everywhere you look it’s a show with 9-10/10 score and it has got that for a reason as you understand when watching it. But sadly since it’s an older show from the 90s it never really became widely known so sadly it has a small fan base who have watched it. I only started watching it last autumn and finished it 1-2 months ago because a friend who likes similar things to me but is older recommended it to me so he rewatched every episode with me and we discussed it. Easily best show of my life and I never thought I would say that before watching it. I’ve seen a lot of shows as well so I don’t say that lightly.

ForiegnKarma

Cowboy Bebop !!! Omg as an shonen only watcher Cowboy Bebop is the only anime out of that genre that has my whole heart. The vibe & aesthetics of that universe is everything. ( Brings back high school memories)

Tsunemori Kiriko

The problem is that there are just too few slots so old, short animes might never get a chance against the recent popular ones. I just hope that you girls can hire an editor and add more slots, please

Shiera Seastar
>>141551115

Ah I believe it tied with Mob Psycho and even managed to edge it out but they had already started Mob by then!! It's fine it will win in one of these years, I have faith. It's such an emotional character driven sci fi classic. (also a very rare case where dub is a better experience than sub)

Jay Craig

I will say though again that this is the classic where all these shows are good and you can’t really go wrong.

fullmetal heart
>>141554970

I dont think its a slot problem as much as recency and current popularity, but glad someone is feeling this too

DrM
>>141547911

the biggest downside is that with their schedule they literally gonna wait a month to get to episode 5 😭

Richard Rimachi

Doeyi Tokki

i'm back here to see the options and i'm so excited about frieren bcs i wanted to see it and now may i can watch it with you c: also the next poll will have monster (again) and im manifesting

there's nothing quite like steins gate. once in a life time experience. pleaaase remember the greatness , you dont because its older.

Milenna said that they want to watch Haikyuu, because they need joy 😂 I would like that show to win, but it’s for popular demand soooo

Well, doesn't matter as long as the greatest written show ever wins the longer slot(haikyuu)

people sleeping on 86 here surprises me, not only is it a great show but also a great fit for this channel

Tyler Jackson

I hope Monster is on the list one day.

Dannigom

sad nobody is voting banana fish 🤧

penguikiss
>>141560049

to be fair frieren is literally the most rated anime right now, while steins gate and cowboy bebop are usually considered to be the timeless classic, so Banana fish is not as well known compared to them. It's a miracle it's even on the poll.

Nemelios

please add more shows next time like 86 bocchi ylia erased or yorimoi

Robert H.
>>141551901

It's honestly not as far down as you think, as there are just quite a few in the 9-11 vote level. Also, the people who like 86 may not have been around as much in the comment sections of Hunter x Hunter and Ranking of Kings. The poll only served as a mood test to find out in which anime there is interest.

Isaac
>>141547911

I know what you mean, but once the episodes are actually out, can you really tell me that it wouldn't be more interesting to have their detailed thoughts on each one? Could get some really cool discussions out of it

MaxVSTheGames

No bad choices here (I don't know Banana Fish, but it looks interesting). I expected Frieren to win, but I'm happy to know that Stein's Gate and Cowboy Bebop are getting closer and closer to being reacted to.

Rrr

you guys are so lucky as reactors because most of them can't even see the name of Cowboy Bebop in their lives. It's a masterpiece but classical and old show. I have to appreciate the Patreon members here for recommending Bebop to the reactors I love. Maybe Frieren would win the poll but I hope you guys would react Bebop someday because I am not sure if there will be a next chance in the next poll.

Nemelios

cause you said in violet's reaction that you want to pick show with female character consider to put bocchi the rock and a place further than the universe in the next poll pls, both great show with female cast only

Spy x Family is "Long" Anime now (36 Ep + Movie + 3rd Season) and Your Lie in April wouldn't change anything, because Frieren would have won anyway :D

Melkor
>>141560427

Easily top 3 at least and top 1 for me personally. Should read the comment I posted further down recommending it but with a longer explanation of what the show is about.

christina

I vote steins gate to the end !!✌️✌️✌️ I typically watch anime reactors when I finish a great show, I watched frieren, but I never watched a frieren reaction now that I realize, because I cant think of a scene on top of my head that i feel eager to see people's reaction to it, because frieren is simply : Not. That. exciting! sure there are small cool and cute moments but they are short. characters are very unnaturally calm most times, theres not enough DRAMAAA HERE COMPARING IT STEINS GATE 💫 steins gate has ambitious story and intricate world building, JAW DROPPING PLOT TWISTS MY GOD ! THE PLOT TWISTS , beautiful character dynamics. characters that I have never felt more real. I FEEL FOR THEM SO MUCH. No other anime characters made me feel the same way

James

Steins;Gate always loses in these polls for any reaction channel, but I'm hoping that the upcoming thematic sequel will bring renewed interest into the series. Of course, we'll have to wait 2-3 years for an anime adaptation if the sequel is going to be released as a visual novel first.

Some weeks ago? It’s a 110 episodes bro no way you finished that in a week. Also same even tho I finished it a month or two ago I am still emotional and nostalgic over it. Definitely gonna rewatch it within the not distant future I can definitely notice things I missed. Watched it with a friend of mine who is a history teacher and we are both political and history buffs (like philosophy too cus it’s part of history) so this show was perfect and you don’t even need to be a history buff to enjoy it or understand it. We also study a lot of military history so that made it even better lol. He has already watched it like 3 times at least but he rewatched it with me and we had long discussions during each session about different things in the show. So nostalgic truly a show that ages like wine. Cried so much at the end.

karina

i hope frieren wins, since violet evergarden that lola and milena have been mentioning that they want to see more shows with female characters and i think this one has all the points to be a series they love.

Alper Ertaşkın

Watch Jujutsu Kaisen u wont regret it. There are so many characters u will fall in love

Yami

This is my opinion, and you're welcome to waste your time disagreeing with it and I won't reply to it. I'm sure the girls will love Frieren but I'm disappointed in the people voting that they'd pick such a generic mainstream anime compared to the others on the list.

vegetable

KIMI
>>141565433

I've watched a ton of Frieren reactions and they're honestly so good. It may not be necessarily exciting but the heart in that show really resonates with people deeply

KIMI

Frieren on top let's goo!! I'm seeing ppl say this show wouldn't be good for reactions or that it's generic and I feel like you just aren't familiar with Frieden's reaction game! I've watched a decent amount of reactors bawl their eyes out to this series. It may not have tremendous twist and turns like other shows y'all want to win but the themes of longing and regret is very much a universal human experience that resonates with people deeply. The girls are gonna love it.

melo

Damn never expected Cowboy Bebop on a poll, the girls will definitely love it but I know it doesn’t have a chance against more current and popular show like Frieren

What would u say was better the dub or the sub ? Cause I remember watching it Dub and it was amazing.

I finished the first season of Frieren a few weeks ago and been obsessed with it ever since episode 2 or 3. Such a beautiful story crafted in both unique and familiar ways, everything was perfect, can't be more excited to revisit it again.

KILL MY HEART KILLUAA

vegetable
>>141567511

people are prone to biases, I think there should be fixes to the system, like for example say frieren won next would have to bebop without a poll? and then steins;gate? idk, but recent anime keeps dominating the list everytime, I bet next poll it'll be dungeon meshi and we'll never get what we want at this rate, only new anime

vegetable
>>141568563

YES. my point exactly. this has been going on for months, we older anime stans never win at this rate, there'll always be a newer anime.

sunshine

how do you guys feel about short anime polls being alternated one time between anime released in the last ten years and other time any anime before? because seriously thats the only way I can think of that'd be fair to older anime stans, we never win otherwise, look at all the past short anime polls, newer anime always dominates as some of you here have already pointed out.

Melkor
>>141572663

I second this as a legend of the galactic heroes fan tho there are many other older anime’s that I think are worth reacting to that will never win because newer anime almost always have much more popularity because they are more known.

sunshine
>>141560427

oh no I didn't mean I started it then, must have over a month till I finished it. yeah it striked me as the type of show that can be elevated so much on rewatche, def one of the densest anime I've ever watched, had to pause so many times ngl, but absolutely amazing quotes and dialogue. yeah exactly! I wasnt big on politics either and it was still very easy to understand and extremely interesting. I imagine its bound to bring up the coolest discussions with a historian friend. hell yeah dude, timeless, legendary show, finished it recently and already eager for a rewatch.

Melkor
>>141568563

Second this. I’m also young (21) but even so there are many older anime’s that are easily 9-10/10 that deserve reacting to but will never win against newer anime’s because they are more well known.

penguikiss
>>141572663

also robert messed up, Frieren should have never been the part of this poll anyway. I know it's great and highly requested, but it's not "a short" anime let's be honest. If they really can't wait, they could've just watched it in he long show slot, and that would only delay the new long show for like 14 weeks, but ideally I'm sure even the girls would prefer to wait for season 2/3.

Melkor
>>141560427

Can totally relate to your comment. Also yeah since we are deep history buffs and like politics too we had a lot of interesting discussions throughout the 0,5-1 year we watched it lol. Comparisons to the Roman republic and empire, modern America, what is truly the best form of political system and government (we are Swedish and have a constitutional monarchy here which works well), what side is more righteous?, is autocracy inherently bad and worse than democracy (what differs Reinhard from the rest of the empire)?, why is the democracy in LOGH like it is?, drawbacks to napoleonic tactics since Napoleonic wars and Napoleon as well as King Charles XII of Sweden are both mentioned in the series, Why certain characters do unreasonable things that from our perspective isn’t logical, religion and state, are certain characters really evil or good or something else (Oberstein and his Machiavellinism is a great example but so are all the rest), what probably happened after the end, the flaws of both sides and I could go on lol. You get the point. Had such fun late night discussions the nostalgia I have for that show is truly deep. Also our fav character is Reiner but that isn’t an easy choice to choose lol.

hassan jabari

Very surprised cowboy bebop made it over something like my hero academia but i welcome it, would love bebop to win

hassan jabari
>>141574291

oh my bad its the short anime poll so MHA wouldnt be here, so i guess a fitting replacement would be gurren lagann cuz im shocked they havent watched it at this point since it seems like milena and lola show

christina

steins gate mad scenitists where u at ?

Killikat

I love Frieren sm it has all the makings of a modern classic. That said, I do agree that newer and much older shows should be on different polls. That way older shows get an actual chance and newer shows aren’t getting bashed just because they’re up against people’s long time favorites. Also if Frieren wins, please consider watching episodes 1-4 together since that was how the anime was released with those episodes serving as one prologue.

>>141568563

I'd never heard of Banana Fish and looked it up, and it's apparently a pretty unknown/obscure anime/manga so it piqued my interest being on a list with much more well-known animes. Reading about it and the reviews, it sounds interesting to me as it's not geared towards a younger audience, which most anime is. And people seem to rate it very highly, so I voted for it, but it has no chance of winning amongst these big name ones

Camzeee

Haven't seen any of these. Glad Frieren's winning though since I wanted an excuse to watch it.

James
>>141572663

This was proposed in The React Pack’s channel where there could be a poll just for older anime.

>>141560427

very cool. wow you watched it over half a year? I could never delay that much personally, but you know its better, keeps you thinking and absorbing it much deeper. most comparisons I've seen were germany and america, but I can see the romans fitting. yeah the super interesting thing is that it kinda subverts? I mean most people would think autocracy bad but republic better, but what if it was the best autocracy vs the worst republic? oberstein is phenomenal, ruental was also another of my favs, his character arc really hit me at the end, prolly my second fav. I can imagine that, I bet its one of your fav anime to have discussions about. oh you mean reinhard? he is phenomenal, and yeah I get that, in a show like logh with brilliant characters? for me it was yang, character writing aside, I just found his personality super endearing, its funny when you compare their ambitions, one's as grand as the universe and the other just wants to retire lol

sunshine

Freelen is interesting, but I would recommend Banana Fish. It is a story of a boy who has been exploited by ugly adults, becomes strong to survive, and through a miraculous encounter, gains irreplaceable love.

yamada

Many people misunderstand, but Banana Fish is not a boys' love story, but a Brotherhood, or soul turn.

Melkor
>>141560427

Yeah on your part on autocracy the thing is that in a way the ideal autocracy is better than any kind of flawed or not flawed democracy because you’ll have a competent ruler that betters the nation who lost forever until his death and his heir will by assumption have the best education and training to carry on the legacy. But in reality a good or bad ruler is like a coin toss and it’s not worth the risk of having a horrible ruler for an eternity like Putin, Hitler, Stalin and many other rulers. Still LOGH as well as many historical examples prove that autocratic rulers can be competent and well liked but is the risk worthy it? With a democracy any bad rulers can always be voted out but again that comes down to the people and if you know history you know people are often stupid and make dumb decisions. We aren’t always rational after all or are easily convinced by promises. Still there are strong and working democracies (like the nordics) and then there are examples like America, Ukraine, Poland, Hungary, Turkey and so on. Corrupt or inefficient democracies with weak institutions. So here correct back the question what is better a democracy or autocracy and I find both arguments have many pros and cons. This is why episode 56 or 57 when they discuss political system is my fav.

HeavenlyR
>>141567511

Yeah they shoulda voted for lesser known underground picks like...Steins Gate and Cowboy Bebop?

Robert H.
>>141572663

@penguikiss I'm also against Frieren and would rather wait for the second season. But people have always recommended it and with 28 episodes I have listed it. I would also have been more in favor of a short anime with 14 episodes or less (Odd Taxi, A Place Further Than The Universe). What's more, if we throw every anime with more than 20 episodes but less than 30 episodes into the long anime slot, it will be completely overloaded.

SoClose

I mean Bebop is an all time classic, so def at some point. But Frieren would be great next. Steins Gate is hot garbage. Overrated convoluted trash. Stale characters, garbage pacing, with a plot going through an identity crisis. It’s what happens when a boring novelist thinks he can tackle theoretical physics. Not reaction worthy. I like Steins Gate and Cowboy Bebop and also wanted to watch both. But I disagree with your opinion. But in my opinion I think Frieren is the type of show they will enjoy more right now. Because they already loved Violet Evergarden and Frieren it's a similar show but with a more wholesome and less tragic vibe, they even share the same OST composer. It's a show focused on life lesson and the growth of the characters and their psychology. It's interesting because Frieren shares several similarties to Cowboy Bebop because both show are about how the characters deal with the nostalgia for the past but the two show has different perspectives about that. Cowboy Bebop it's more pessimistic and nihilistic. Frieren it's more about how to value your present. Both shows has interesting strong female characters like Frieren or Faye. They both also has awesome OST. I agree Cowboy Bebop it's a masterpiece and a must to watch. I didn't mention Steins:Gate because it's really a very different show but I also think it's an awesome recommendation for LM. Even so they will enjoy more Frieren because it's more wholesome in a similar way they already enjoyed RoK. And it's not because it's a more recent show. Right now Frieren has replaced FMA in the first place of the top anime for My Anime List for some reason, it has already deserved his place to be considered as a modern masterpiece.

tiktok spoiled brat spotted! but I'll be nice and indulge you anyway. characters are stale? okabe himself is one of the craziest, funniest, most entertaining characters ever, not a dull moment around him. garbage pacing? its purposefully slowburn at the start so you could have time to become emotionally attached to the characters so that the emotions hit a million times more, ever heard of setting up build up for bigger payoffs? chimera ant arc? the physics are so well-researched and thoroughly explained, the anime cut most of it out for general audiences, the vn goes a lot more in depth, most popular sci-fi anime dont even invest this much. anyone raving about it is a gigachad ✌️

Sir, did you just call me TikTok brain? Be fr 🤧 Slow burn isn’t the problem. Texhnolyze kept me intrigued, Lain kept my attention. That’s because someone like Abe knows how to unveil mystery and scratch your brain. Same with Urasawa. It’s in the delivery. The quality of expositions. The dialogues. The characterization. Steins Gate couldn’t even manage to have decent storytelling, but you actually think its juvenile pseudoscience made sense. That’s rich.

ecksdee
>>141582190

The fact that you think Urasawa is an exceptional writer tells me everything I need to know. Monster has the most clunky dialogue and plot contrivance-ridden narrative of any show with a very positive consensus. It is THE litmus test for smoking out pseudo intellectual snobs. Okabe alone puts the entire cast of that drivel to shame. Urasawa characters aren’t real or organic individuals, they’re mouthpieces of whatever hamfisted theme he’s chosen to convey. Sounds more like you’re bitter that you couldn’t comprehend how tightly written internally consistent S;G’s physics are.

refo44
>>141567295

I disagree. The issue I have with JJK it's even if it has some interesting characters it lacks meaningful characters growth they don't have any meaningful development arch unless they are killed. The plot is a predictable standard shonen plot and is too centered on the action. They spent too much time in fight scenes unnecessary to the plot and LM aren't usually interested on that. Maybe it's great for people more interested on animation or action scenes but LM will not really enjoy it. If they eventually watch it will be just for the viewers. But it will not be one of their best reactions.

sunshine
>>141582190

that I did my dude lol a lil get back at ya for slandering my show like that, though I'd have to say, urasawa and abe, understimated you a bit. now I get your point better, and I also get how opposite we are in what we value. urasawa and abe might be the better writers when it comes to the storytelling, that I can attest to, also, johan by himself clears the cast of steins;gate writing wise if I'm being honest. abe while I enjoy his stories, recently watched half of texhnolyze and the little bit we see of the character writing is unique and well-thought out, but is too underutilized, the mc barely utters a couple of words or does anything really, yoshi was a lil interesting I'll have to say, but they're all dreadfully boring, they dont feel human or realistic, their interactions are downright awful, foxgirl be staring at mc for a couple of eps and surprise, they're homies and I'm supposed to care? of course I cant. you see, if it doesn't make care, that's a big writing minus, how are you supposed to enjoy it? that's exactly where steins;gate excels, and why I'd put it over monster and texhnolyze anyday, it does that in spades through fleshing the characters and the dynamics to their smallest details, and don't get me started on the emotional depth, which is very rarely matched in all of anime, thats why SG cast over monster's and texhnolyze's any day despite the latters' skill. nah the story is great, with the exception of a couple of rushed plot points, I'll take it any day over texhnolyze cast of unbearable zombies.

James
>>141582190

In the visual novel for Steins;Gate, they go into great depth and details on some the real life theoretical concepts in physics such as using Kerr black holes for time travel (20-30 minutes of explanation). I'm the great mad scientist, Hououin Kyoma!” “Theories are nothing more than words. Accept what you have seen!. Yep, i'll still vouch heavy for steins gate

Alex

yesss frieren another show fit for this channel!!!

bondbond53

I mean if we have Banana Fish on a poll can we have NANA please? Or any shoujo

not bald zuzu

i hope steins gate come again in a future poll

Robert H.
>>141614112

Nana is great. The humor was that FMAB humor where you can't help but laugh. It's just a shame that the anime just stops. But as far as I know, the arc after that in the manga wasn't as funny and rather sad and the following arc ends in the middle of it, which makes the story feel very unfinished.

Jack SV
>>141614112

People should start recommending NANA more often then because I agree. NANA is such a classic anime and I don’t even like those type of romance/drama anime but that one is an exception.

sunshine
>>141614112

@lauraa if they do, they're better off reacting to the 2001 verion, that one really hits in the feels

Lauraa Rodríguez
>>141614112

@sunshine but that one is incomplete, i dont understand why would you want them to react to that one. Also the 2019 version is loyal to the manga, meanwhile 2001 version changes a lot of things. 2001 version skips a lot and has a lot of gaps in between, dilutes the story. Moreover 2019 version takes a lot of the darker tone that makes the manga so popular.

vegetable
>>141550140

@uJrath dated maybe but its timeless direction and production wise, also the slowburn part serves a purpose, unveiling the characters, building the dynamics, uncovering the plot little by little, I dont get how this part is boring, its excellent slice of life, maybe its because people are expecting something later that it makes impatient while they can watch another slice of life like frieren without a complaint.

Ian Mac Pherson Art
>>141595709

Nooo :( Whyyy, it's such an emotional and epic anime like Hunter! Well, now that they've seen Hunter, I can die in peace, but I really think KNY gives so much for good reactions.

not bald zuzu
>>141582190

@sunshine they will get so emotionally damaged in the best way and the show will stick with them

Steven Cavanagh

I will always suggest The Legend of Vox Machina on Amazon. but if your looking for anime Demon Slayer is a must.

sunshine
>>141614112

@lauraa its sorta like fma 2003 and fmab situation, the originals are superior in the direction, music, atmosphere, overall emotional delivery, seriously try watching hatori and kyo's backstories in both versions and you'll see what I mean, not to mention the freaking comedy man, 2001's elevated what it adapted from the manga ten times. they could watch it up till the last fillery episodes then continue with the new one.

sunshine
>>141613826

it is good but there're a hundred anime out there that are better imo, I'd heartily recommend haikyuu next!

Jay Craig

Now that it seems inevitable Frieren has won, about the first episodes - So obviously as has been said, the show debuted by showing the first four episodes back to back on the same night, as people who have watched it know the reason being that episode 4 cuts off right as the real premise of the show is presented. In a perfect world, the first four episodes are meant to be watched at once, and of course it’d be the ideal way for it to be reacted to. That being said, it doesn’t seem like the kind of thing that L+M would do / necessarily be able to do given how they record. So I would like to suggest that if as expected it’s not possible to react to all 4 - that you at least react to the first 2 episodes. This being because Episode 1 doesn’t resolve and directly dovetails into the second episode, which finishes much more cleaner and completely.

christina

LM I hope someday you two watch steins gate,I think you would love it so much ! the main casts grabs your heart and you two gets attached to characters more than other reactors that I know, the emotions we will see from that combination will be overjoying. 😂 I will be a happy mad scientist by then. Im excited for you to experience this masterpiece. The show is crafted for watchers like you 💙

sunshine
>>141560427

yeah, I agree on the competent autocracy bit but then afterwards is the problem, even if the heir has the best preparation, he might not have the genetics you know? lmao that sounds like rudolf lol, horrible to say but I believe its a key player. yeah most dictators would be predisposed to being horrible people originally imo. btw what do you think is the best democracy ever? contemporary and historical? oh yeah the meeting episode, that was a goated moment.

Justice for my beloved Cowboy Bebop :’( one day

Gabriel Barott
>>141576158

Sunshine, half of that is personal preference. Have you seen Frieren? Because it has all of the things you mentioned. 👍🏻

Lauraa Rodríguez
>>141614112

I strongly disagree hahah I dont think they are superior in hardly any field. And the remake is more successful and has better ratings for a reason. Changing versions midway, changing the animation and VA is a terrible idea.

cowboy bebop is awsome that its here! my vote is on steins gate, and I hope both of them appear in another poll

not bald zuzu
>>141631965

exactly, its the show for them. The characters are the best and how they care for each other in a real way in little details and moments will not get overlooked by LM !

karina
>>141630964

I would love for them to see the 4-episode premiere, but it's unlikely to happen, so I also hope they at least see the first 2 episodes in a row.

uJrath
>>141576158

Shallow and subjective take, it can be argued the other way with Frieren for everything you listed. Drop the weird nostalgia bias

sunshine
>>141614112

@lauraa more successful cause its newer duh, more people check it out, well the better ratings are because the 2001's ending was filler and because of tohru's tv screen eyes.

JATLA
>>141568334

I watched both sub and dub depending on the episode😂 I liked the dub but there’s a lot of reading text messages that don’t get translated on screen in the dub, so that made me switch to sub to see what messages were sent/received. Both sub/dub were really good

Christopher Petersen
>>141613826

It's actually insane how good Frieren ist. If you liked Mob Psycho 100 and Vinland Saga im certain you'll like Frieren.

sunshine
>>141560049

what I've seen of it was very good. it's losing cause it's not as mainstream as the other three.

>>141560427

Best democracy ever aghh that’s a hard one. I mean all of them had so many flaws and even modern ones no matter the system aren’t perfect. I believe depending on the culture a democracy will be stronger or weaker. But aside from Ancient Greece I think 18 hundreds UK is a great choice since they were much earlier on installing a parliamentarian democratic system way back in the 17 century. The UK had the richest population and was the most liberal country with a lot of individual freedoms before most other European countries embraced these ideas. Modern UK tho I don’t like and the first past the post 2 party system I despise. In modern era I think the Nordic countries all have the most stable democracies. The meeting episode was GOATED because of the extremely interesting discussion they had about political system and being in a basically verbal debate was very entertaining and both sides had good points.

Felipe Vargas Amaya

WHERE IS MADOKA MAGICA, ONE OF THE GREATEST ANIME IN THE HISTORY THAT HAVE 13 EP AND A MOVIE!!!!!????

BluTsunami

FRIEREN! Hell yeah, hope you two enjoy it! And some people said it earlier, but the first 4 episodes are best done together

refo44
>>141630964

They maybe could watch the episodes the same day. But it doesn't they will post the reaction of the episodes the same day considering they need to do the edition.

refo44
>>141631965

I agree it's a great recommendation. It has a complex storytelling. Awesome Characters. For me it's one of the best scifi animes of all times, even if it's hard to grasp the first episodes. It also delves on an interesting way with complex philosophical and scientific theories and concepts. The way the author research the John Titor incident is awesome. But on the other way, some people also argue there are several disturbing and unjustified issues about Daru behavior as a character. What is your opinion about that?

halfeldian

Had to pull here because RoK just finished and I had a gut feeling Frieren is going to be in the poll 😂😂 so yuh, since it's winning, let it be known that the first 4 episodes aired all together and I hope you guys watch it of the similar route🙌

halfeldian

imagine if y'all upload Frieren reactions every Fridays 😂 Frieren x LM Fridays will go so hard 👌 since we also missed it so much

James
>>141632063

I'm surprised they haven't reacted to Spy x Family. It's a good show and it usually gets a lot of YT views with other channels.

sunshine
>>141631965

@refo44 yeah the john titor thing, hell I even was mindblown sern was a thing lmao, that is one of the coolest things about steins;gate, merging reality with fiction. look, on daru, he's the worst creature ever conceived lol, I thought that he was super realistic in how he represents a lot of otaku degenerates, there really are people exactly like daru out there, yeah and there's something you're misunderstanding, its okay for an anime to show disturbing things, its okay for an anime to depict such characters like perverts, incels, racists, it doesn't mean that it endorses such ideas, it just represents them for you to form your opinion about them, if anything, it works like antiwar films, show the ugliness of war so people hate it, show the ugliness of perverts so people swear to never become darus lol

sunshine
>>141631965

@refo44 I mean could you imagine what would the real people working at sern reactions be to the whole organization thing? it's hilarious

Matthew Russo

I’ve seen none of these other then Steins Gate which was amazing so imma vote for that not like it’s gonna win 😭

christina
>>141631965

@refo44 The first few episodes are so interesting to me، it builds up everything. it reveals those philosophical scientific ideas that some come into action in the later half. when I played the vn elite, i got immediately captivated، its much more detailed (i played it before watching the anime,) , I liked how it included in depth explanation about the theories and memes in the menu. now that im trying to remember them, I realized the "cat in a box theory" kinda applies in the last stretch of the show ! this makes the ending more satisfying! and i am a mad scientist for that ! HOUouin kyouma is proud of me ! merging reality and fiction as @sunshine said، it's ambitious, creative, fostering discussions among fans. makes you think about our universe and engage more in researching those science concepts/theories. when i tell you, I entered a new phase in my life researching those things,,,,, space science became my personality for a time 😂 unfortunately i think daru tendencies are humour for a portion of fans maybe? for me? I agree it's disturbing, it should be for everyone. he can go to hell 😂 I dont care about that side of him. ( i dont wanna say potential spoilers) the good thing it happens less as the show goes.

Sonder

This is the first time something I voted for won

Nino

I'm the only one voting for banana fish lmaoo but I'm very happy that frieren is winning anyway :P, dungeon meshi just ended and is also pretty good

>>141595709

its good for reactions but knowing Lola and Milena they would not enjoy the comedic relief the show has and they wouldnt care for the fights im afraid.

sunshine
>>141576158

@uJrath right back at you, "drop the weird recency bias" how is my take shallow?

sunshine
>>141576158

@gabriel barott well you're right about that point, watched the first 4 eps but couldn't make it past them due to a certain directorial choice, then couple of random eps with bros, might check manga one day. frieren is a good anime, and it does have all things as you said, madhouse at the top of their game production wise, exceptionally radiant colors, creative stylized op and ed, intresting shots and animation bits, big fan of evan call since violet evergarden's ost and again, he delivered, beautiful evocative medieval ost. worldbuilding's your average isekai fantasy setting, it showed the heroes journey affect on the world well enough I thought, and there were small details giving it a lil personality, not enough to stand out though. on originality last thing it's all there in the title, the anime begins after the journey ends which is pretty unique, its also kinda similar to bebop in that regard, how the casts stories are already behind them, and all we get is how they're trying to move on from the past, similarly, only shown through brief flashbacks. not to mention frieren's writing keeps consistently subverting expectations, the dessert thugs one small example that comes to mind, but there're bigger things with the character directions. so yeah, it delivers, but I still think bebop outclasses in most aspects respectfully, its as perfect as anime could get.

hassan jabari

imma need everyone who voted for steins gate and banana fish to put their votes into cowboy bebop cuz those first 2 clearly arent winning so lets overturn the poll lol

Dylan

I know there's a lot of shows you're watching right now but I'm here to shout out Mad Men again, it's my dream

James

Some other reaction channel you could recommend Steins;Gate include Studio Gek, The React Pack, and Alana Misako as people have been recommending that anime for those channels. However, it will be a while before they post a new poll.

Attilius

I wish you put re:zero within the list .... it has one of the best story and character development in all anime and tv shows

Maria Connell
>>142017931

This is for a short anime, if anything rezero could maybe be on a long anime poll (but sadly I don't think it has a chance...)

Kya Colosseum

I know Banana Fish is probably never going to win these, but seeing it on the poll in the first place honestly makes me really happy it's on their radar. Very fitting it first pops up on pride month considering the gay of it all. The character writing in that show is so good and I know they'll love it, but Frieren is also spectacular so happy with this result either way.

HeavenlyR
>>141897412

Yea it's an amazing show, but the only chance for Run With the Wind to be reacted to is off the back of Haikyuu I feel like. If they love Haikyuu I imagine they'll get a good amount of comments of "well since you loved this I think you'll love Run With the Wind too"

Vincent Samuel Price

i love banana fish so much but holy fuck, its a heavy one honestly.

Lau
>>142057241

fr, its really high on my list but I havent had the guts to rewatch so if the girls ever do react to it it would be time to revisit the trauma hahahha

Attilius
>>142017931

Haha I mean come on I think it has a chance! As underrated as it is, there are a many channels that have picked it up. Honestly it has one of the best stories ever and would be so interesting to see their reaction

Bambina

Guys jujutsu kaisen 😭😭😭 Edit: I saw it will be on the longer anime poll, but I’m kind of surprised. Monster and Haikyuu have around 80 episodes each, JJK has a total of 49+a movie, which will take less than a year to finish, the other will take so much more (if we go one ep per week). Couldn’t it be considered for the shorter anime poll?

Bambina
>>141567295

It absolutely doesn’t lack meaningful characters. The plot is so far from standard shounen and it’s so popular for a reason. I’m honestly surprised to see such a wrong take and I only see similar takes from people commenting here. It’s honestly discouraging to see people talk like they can predict their reactions or that they know them so well, downplaying a great series in a way that’s not really fair nor true, and not giving them the chance to try it out. If you’ve watched their AoT reactions, you will know why they would most definitely enjoy JJK

Film Vagabond

Looks like we may get JJK or Bebop after Frieren

Jay Craig
>>142230429

It will absolutely not be on the longer anime poll. The next long anime poll is Haikyuu! Vs Monster

Bambina
>>142230429

Actually in one of the first comments in this poll someone asked about JJK and they said “on the longer anime poll”. It’s fair for it to be included and if it wins - great for us, fans. I know many people have been waiting for these two, as many of us have waited for JJK, but the majority matters. I’d like for it to be on shorter anime polls, but that’s what I’ve read them say. I think it’d be a good compromise for JJK to be on the shorter anime poll so that many can get their Haikyuu/Monster (which I personally don’t really want to watch) and we can get JJK. I’ve been their subscriber only for AoT, I’ll be honest, and I’m waiting for JJK to sub again here, as I think they’ll provide more interesting takes on it than most reactors.

Lau
>>142230429

theyve stated in frierens video reaction that the next longer show poll will only have two options, haikyuu and monster. Also, jjk is definitely not suited for the short anime. It is literally not a short anime, specially having another season coming up.

Bambina
>>142230429

Well if that’s true, I can’t say I’m not extremely disappointed but will check again in a year, I guess

bibi hashem

Would you consider watching fruits basket? I think it is one of the best shows ever created the characters and the story are so well thought out everything about it from the characters, story and music are amazing I love your reactions very much I would love to see you thoughts on this show.
