Girls, please watch a beautiful short anime movie called "Look Back". It is only 58 mins, just like an ordinary tv series episode. I don't want to spoiler anything, so I just want to say it's the perfect movie for you and my personal best anime film of 2024. It is best to watch it blind. Would you consider watching it after finishing Frieren, before you start the next anime?

I'm sure this has already been discussed by them before, but hearing them say Frieren is already one of their favorite shows of all time(I agree with) has me wondering if they have seen Cowboy Bepop yet? I found this channel this past year and my favorite about them is they are seemingly hitting the all time greats in both anime and live action with in depth discussions. So I'm just curious what they haven't seen yet. Anime wise for me its just Bepop and Samurai Champloo/Blue Eye Samurai and live action now that they are watching Sopranos the only thing left maybe is Mad Men.

They haven't watch Cowboy Bebop yet, It's highly probable it will be in the next short anime poll to replace Frieren, It has been in several previous anime polls. One of the members Robert make a poll to recommend the next short anime to them https://strawpoll.com/Q0Zp76z39gM

There are 2 types of people: 1. People that think "i wish it was me" when Frieren pets the girls 2. People that think "i wish it was me" when Frieren steps on Denken. Lola clearly is the first type. I am not gonna say which one i am.

I don't know how they feel about watching movies on the channel, but definitily there are a bunch of anime movies that would be really cool if they reacted to it. Look Back being so short is probably a upside for reactors and i super agree that they would enjoy it.

It's key to note the value of imagination in magic. Supposing Kanne had superior mana to Richter, she still wouldn't be able to control the water in his body because she can't perfectly picture it. Serie can supposedly defeat the Demon King, but because she cannot imagine the peace that would follow, it cannot be done

Maybe it's the perfect time to watch some films after Frieren, like Your Name, Chihro and Arrival which are the most requested around here, after that you'll be more prepared to start another show that isn't Frieren

I think It will be perfect shift to watch bebop after frieren because we have the new anime series directed by Shinichiro Watanabe which would be potentially the best show in 2025.

It’s not going to top Frieren but Bocchi the Rock is a great nice chill show that’s short (12 episodes). All-female characters, lgbt, friendships, coming into one’s own, I think it’s a great fun comfort show

Thanks for the info Robert. Is their a link to all the polls for both long and short for Anime and live action? And if a major universally critically acclaimed show is missing should we assume they've already seen it? For example I know we'll never get Succession since I know they've both watched it.

I'm not sure if you guys would be interested in watching another sports anime, since you're already doing Haikyuu. But the best sports anime in existence, in my opinion, is called Run with the Wind. It's only 1 season, and 23 episodes. I think it would be an excellent show to watch if you guys are looking to keep up the good feelings you're getting from Haikyuu and Frieren. It has some of the most lovable characters, beautiful animation and voice acting, the story is fulfilling. Seen it many times through and so far I've been unable watch the finale without sobbing. It's the only series i'd ever recommend this highly.

I forgot it’s the same studio. Makes sense it why it reminds me of Haikyuu seasons 1 & 2. I feel like there there almost the same shot of a cicada on a tree in both shows, a classic. It me feel like warmth and summer

Yess I love run with the wind, when I first watch the first episode of it this exactly what I thought but then I read that it is the same studio as Haikyuu and it made so much sense 🥹
