I know we still got some time before the final episodes but I really really recommend watching episode 27-28 together. They are the best episodes of this arc in my opinion and fit perfectly together. It would make for the best experience. Also fern is the cutest angry character ive ever seen

God, I want to recommend Akatsuki no Yona to you guys, Yona would be your new favorite girl, the problem is that they only made one season and never continued, even so I still think it's worth watching

I want to recommend Bocchi the Rock for the below reasons; #1 All female characters #2 The same director who did Frieren #3 Brings joy #4 Only 12 episodes so it’s perfect for short-form anime #5 Music #6 is Funny #7 good sister characters #8 Won’t top Frieren, but it doesn’t need to so it’s a good show to follow after Frieren (also what show would?) #9 Everyone’s just trying to be a good friend to each other

I would die if Lm reacted to the first 4 episodes again, definitely something a lot of people would want to see lol. If you girls actually rewatched the whole show or even just the first 4 episodes again you wouldn’t be able to see the screen, Such a beautiful show. It’s number 1 on MAL for a reason.

My main reason is that I feel like it is the perfect follow-up to Frieren. I would be fine with putting just Season 1 in the poll.

Got to say, I love the discussion about Ubel and empathy/sympathy. Her ability to use other people’s magic is definitely an interesting character beat given her personality presented so far. From how I understand her character so far in the show, I fell in line with Lola’s initial idea that she empathizes more on an understanding level rather than a feeling and caring level (sympathy). Land even mentions that she uses magic based on feel rather than knowledge, but I take that as more of an instinctive thing rather than an emotional way. Also her ability to copy other spells seems like a bonus trait, her primary magic of choice (or maybe nature) is still to cut and slice . And like she mentioned to Wirbel, I think that still reflects her the most. Hence her disposition to “torment” others (attacking the eyes of Wirbel and her clone taking fake Land’s bottle rather than just killing it). More backstory for her would definitely be interesting, although that’s true for almost every named character introduced in Frieren

I second, third, and fourth this recommendation, Bocchi the Rock is an S tier slice of life anime that has amazing adorable girls and is super funny and cute but also has some very interesting and meaningful topics of mental health covered which I appreciate
