Some of the technicalities in this show might not be important to learn for enjoying it but "Heavenly pacts" are very integral in the story so I will try to explain it simply again. Unlike normal pacts (like the one Sukuna and Yuji made or the one Nanami made with himself) these are literally forced upon you at birth by the rules of Jujutsu(No human has a say in it). You have no choice. In case of Mechamaru he has a very weak physical body so he has been granted a wide range for his cursed technique in return. So basically you lose something in return for something else but you have no say in it unlike other pacts. So you got it correctly mostly.

The show only gets better and better. The last season is pure art. I'm not saying it's clear of criticism but people are genuinely hating it in mass purely because it's the most popular and culturally impactful anime of the last years. Also, lots of people have a formulaic checklist of what a story "should have and do" and apply it to everything rather than questioning and understanding what the show is actually trying to do. Jujutsu Kaisen is at it's core a battle shounen that understands the ins and outs of the genre and celebrates it seriously for the current generation. Battle IS storytelling in a battle shoune, wild take I know, and the girls have perfectly understood that so far no problem so no need to feel scared and "expect" any second that it's going to turn bad. Again, it's not clear of criticism of which I have my own (like majority of shows) but genuinely every time I see criticism about this show I always feel like they are complaining about the wrong thing and fundamentally don't understand this story

This also ties in with how jujutsu sorcery is 80% talent which means some people are supposed to be born with great power due to bloodline or simply as a fact. As a result, the heavenly pact occurs in Mechamaeru's case where they're granted even greater power in exchange for physical disability

alot of the the people that said that u wont like the show, i honestly think they meant that yall wont like it as a whole, even season 1, they just changed it to (even if yall love this one, yall wont like the later seasons) just bc yall started to love it, they r just that bitter, like i think the other seasons are miles above this one and i fcking LOVE this one too, they just hear stuff and repeat it without ever watching it, just bc its the fights that get more popular with edits and whatnot, so in terms of writing and character's depth, i like the later seasons even more than this one, and just like i said this one is so good. To be perfectly honest, your comment isn't helping. I'm seeing far more negativity from comments like this one (which get posted almost every time the girls drop new JJK reactions), than I am the comments you're complaining about. Cursed energy is very prominent in the JJK series, but I think most people here would like to see positive energy.

I think people are just salty from the poll discourse and can't stop projecting. Even on the Episode 1 thread there were far more comments complaining about haters than actual comments that were hating (of which there were like 1-2).

To say "none of them" is kinda crazy lol, ive seen some of them come here to say its not good and it shouldn't have won saying it should be others, especially at the first eps, and as for the ppl that watched it and say they didn't like some parts of it, its ok, that can be said abt literally every show in existence, just like imo FMA had some boring eps and i fcking love that show, likewise AOT and HxH and these are my top animes, that the girls also LOVED btw, just like there are jjk eps that i didn't enjoy. i just don't like when ppl say (the next arc you wont like, the last arc u will hate), its just not necessary, when they finish these arcs then ppl can say whatever they want, but first let them decide without setting million expectations before they even watch them. also this is the only time i commented on this topic, bc at the start of the video, the girls mentioned the discourse in the first eps.

the vast majority of "hating comment" were coming from youtube, you can see it under csm reaction for example because both anime/manga are kinda linked

Imo the show peaked kinda early and has a little decline (still great) after a certain arc, the last arc is pure unfiltered doo doo water tho (minus some great moment) my biggest criticisim is that it just become wayyyy to heavy into battle/strat and doesn't really try to develop the character.
