Wooohooo!!! You guys are in for a fun ride that I cant wait to watch!!!

Ryan Roach

Season one is a little slow, tbh. But it gets better. Much better.

BNJ

FYI that beginning sequence was indeed after Breaking Bad.

Shadoe Price

Yeah the intro is after Breaking Bad. There are signs in the Cinnabon saying that they are in Omaha, Nebraska, which is where Ed was sending him. Also one of the last things that Saul says to Walter is that if he lucky his best case scenario is that he'll be a manager at Cinnabon.

Dante

If you thought Breaking Bad was well written, just wait for this masterpiece. All I will say is, don't go in expecting Breaking Bad. This show is written much differently (imo even better) and stands on its own two feet. The quality never stops increasing. Enjoy!!

Sequiro

I knew you ladies were going to flip out! :)

KM

I'm so excited!! I'm going to force myself to hold off until the full-length one is uploaded, though.

BobJ

The beginning shot was after Breaking Bad. He once said to Walt "if I am lucky, I will end up managing a Cinnabon". That is exactly what he was doing.

malealoo

Yessssss I'm so envious of you guys watching this for the first time

Shadoe Price

Also an important bit of info if you didn't catch, the check that Jimmy put up to the glass after the opening court scene is dated 2002, so this show is set 6 years before the start of BrBa

Ryan Roach

The black and white part in the beginning takes place after Breaking Bad. Saul even called it out in his last episode, saying that he was going to be a Cinnabon manager in Nebraska.

Avery

Jimmy is definitely a boy and this show is made for you. As usual, you caught things about his character that I don’t see many people do. This is gonna be fun to watch along.

akiro somp

better call saul is pretty borin until season 4 and 5. Its a very slow pace

Legatus

Saul mentioned his real name in one of the Breaking Bad episodes. "My real name's McGill. The Jew thing I just do for the homeboys."

Nigel W.

Here we go 🔥

Nah the story is amazing from the beginning even if there isn't as much crazy action.

Danny

its crazy how everyone hates tuco but still hype af to see him again after so many seasons lol

Eric Wall

I can grant the slower pace, but each season has at least one episode that I would rank in the top 20 of the entire Breaking Bad universe.

Daniel Chavez

Loved your reaction!!! Anyone who thinks the first season is slow is an insane person haha

BNJ

It's a differently paced show than Breaking Bad but it's in no way boring, IMO.

UrbanRats

Fun fact: Tuco was "cut" early from Breaking Bad, because the actor, Raymond Cruz, was busy with another show at the time, and couldn't shoot full time for BB, so they killed him off and invented Gus. But when they started writing BCS years later, they had the opportunity to have him back.

Vince Gilligan is mostly involved only in the first season of BCS. After that it's Peter Gould who is the show runner. He co-created Breaking Bad with Vince. You shouted him out during the credits of one of the BB episodes lol.

I thought the actor Raymond Cruz asked to be killed off because the role drove him mad?

Boydanovich

This show, like BB owns it's pacing. It might not be for everyone, but it's solid. The first three seasons are more of a lawyer based drama than a "crime" drama, but that doesn't mean it's boring - just less violence. If you appreciate what truly made BB exceptional, which I believe L and M do, you will love the entirety of BCS.

Randy Cooper
>>62505723

I actually enjoy/enjoyed BCS more than I did BB. I don't think there's a single episode I would say was boring. I love it!

Podey Williams

Welcome to the ride! In many ways BCS is a different show to BB but the writing and drama is equally as gripping.

Drew

I might like BCS more than Breaking Bad.

UrbanRats

Vince Gilligan mentioned it in multiple interviews, that they had to kill him off before they wanted to (he was supposed to be the main villain for the whole of S2) because of his prior engagements with the TV show "The Closer".

It's a different show. It's less adrenalinic and action packed, but it has more nuanced characters, and it's more interestingly "gray", because of it. I think BB is a bit more cohesively put together, but BCS has my favorite characters (the dynamic between Jim, Kim, Chuck and Howard in particular is super interesting).

Shadoe Price

I feel like by the end of this series the "boy" count is going to be five times as much as Breaking Bad

Podey Williams
>>62505723

Every reaction series I've seen to this show on YouTube, the reviewers inevitably at some point say "Why do people say this show is boring?!?!"

Cindy Beach

Expecting Saul in episode 1, is like expecting Heisenberg in episode 1. We all had the same expectations when we watched for the first time. Sit back and enjoy the experience, ladies. Everything happens for a reason. Everything.
