There is a theory about Ryuk laugh at the end, he can see her life span, so when she said "Please let me join the task force" her life span practicaly dropped to zero and Ryuk saw it.

Which doesnt make any sense since her lifespan is already set in stone, and if the Death Note alters that it would change the second Light writes the name, not before that.

When I watched this as a kid, it was from this episode I became convinced that, to average ppl in the show, Light seems very charismatic, good mannerism, attractive/kind. Probably more so than average ppl. He knows how to use his good looks and how to act likable around ppl to his advantage. I remember feeling impressed by how gentleman he was to Naomi. Haha, I didn’t think much like now, where it just feels evil and tragic

Just sending my suggestion of Arcane. You girls would love it. And fits your timeline very well after AoT P1 and before P2

Please do reactions to Arcane sometime! It's all about the characters! And they are TOP TIER.

although i love arcane, i think violet evergarden on netflix is right up their alley in terms of themes and genre. never seen LM as a type for watching and analyzing animations but more about characters and emotions . think arcane is more about the production quality (though the characters are quite great too)

Retrospectively wishing light took the eye deal so the show ended after season 1 instead of going on 😂
