hi guys here's a poll for a new show. we're choosing smaller shows because better call saul is coming back soon so until then we have something to watch. animes will replace animes, so the next one will replace death note, that's fullmetal alchemist: brotherhood. so there're no animes in this poll

OMG this is a hard one. the heaviest of these is the "band of brothers", without a doubt. Lola would be a mess by the end of it. especially at the last episode's talking heads part. invincible is a good show, but it's kinda generic. plus, it just started, and we don't know when the next season is coming. the Witcher is also a good show, but has too much GoT vibes. it has to be BoB.

Please watch Band of Brothers. It is still considered one of the best series ever made. Will definitely make you girls emotional. Based on true events. Produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks so it'll be similar quality to Saving Private Ryan which they also made. I HIGHLY recommend everyone watch this in their lifetime.

Looks like The Witcher won't win this time. But I'm still hopeful that you'll watch it in the future since you guys at least added it in the poll and it has decent amount of votes. It's not exactly "peak fiction" but I do think you guys will really enjoy it especially season 2.

Invincible will win, simply because, along with Arcane, it was the show that stood out the most in the field of western animation series last year. I love this show, but somehow would have preferred Midnight Mass or Band of Brothers. I haven't seen All of Us Are Dead yet. The zombie genre is actually pretty stale for me, which is why I haven't watched the other Korean zombie series and movies. To the others here: Is it worth watching?

Band of Brothers. it's a 10*1hr episodes show about a paratrooper unit in the 2nd world war. very realistic (based on real events and sometimes with narration of the actual survivors), very emotional, great acting, great drama, and "nobody's safe", like in the early Game of Thrones episodes.

True, but it's really not that good. Invincible really pales compared to most good anime. The art was lame, The "romantic" subplot was terrible. It's interesting as an attempt to do a 'western' cartoon for adults (that's not a family guy clone) but it's really not that great.

GoT was good - also, while they're both Fantasy shows I think the Witcher is actually really different from GoT, it focuses on just a handful of characters and has a lot of 'episodic' monster 1-on-1 monster battles, and characters use powerful magic all the time. I think from a visual perspective it looks better.

I'm bored with marvel-style superhero movies, but I thought it was interesting. Depends on what it is specifically you don't like about them. If you don't like seeing people flying around with superpowers, it's obviously not for you. If you think, like, marvel movies are corny and generic, then you might like it. But that said, there's a ton of Anime that's way better then invincible. Like go on MyAnimeList and check out the top rated Anime in different categories - you'll like most of it way more then invincible, most likely. (If you've already seen a ton of Anime then might as well check it out) I feel like people who really like Invincible just don't watch a lot of Anime so don't know what they're missing out on.

@Delmoi I'm not talking about the animation, which is relatively standard, but the presentation and the story. We don't often see that in Western animation series, which is why the series is so highly praised.

Yeah season 1 is a lot of fun and I personally enjoyed it a lot too. It's just that from the technical perspective, it's not the best written & directed show. Season 2 from the technical perspective I think is much better in its writing & direction. Much more cohesive story. It has a more serious tone though so maybe that's not for everyone. I definitely think LM will enjoy both seasons but I think they will enjoy S2 more since it deals more in characters rather than just fun, random adventures like in S1. We'll see what they think if they ever get to it of course.

I've seen a lot of zombie shows and All of Us Are Dead is by far the best. Great pacing, actual impactful deaths, and a new take on a zombie virus. I thought it was much better than Invincible too, but that's just my opinion.

Do yourself a favour and watch Band of Brothers. It's especially moving if nothing else because it's about real events that happened to real people. First episode is slow just by nature of the fact it covers training rather than combat, so give it a couple episodes. Highly recommend it though.

Definitely try to make room for Band of Brothers sometime girls. It's only 10 episodes so you could easily get through it, but it'll probably never win a poll. It's such a moving show though based on real events that happened to real people. First episode is slow (but you've heard this before about so many shows :P), but after that it really gets moving.

??? Fargo has 4 seasons totalling 41 episodes that are 50-60 minutes long. The Witcher is sixteen 50 minute episodes and an animated film. Compare those two or the others on the list. Fargo is not in this category

Both are great. As a non native English speaker, I don't understand the hype about the dubs. They are tied in my opinion and untimely comes down to personal preference, but a lot of people tend to defend the dub like it was the Holy Grail

i mean, i don't really remember them promising anything they just mentioned that they may react to the dub since it was a close race with death note. i would prefer they did a poll like last time because i definitely prefer the sub, but i wouldn't lose it if they watch the dub. as a not native english speaker i do enjoy shows and movies in the original version but i guess we'll just have to wait and see. i hope there's not going to be too much bad blood like last time.

Are you still considering watching the Promised Neverland, perhaps after Fullmetal Alchemist? The first season is quite short but very much worth it. I think you both will love the show, both the premise and characters :)

an u urself dont sound like ur complaining to have english dub? u act like sub ppl r the only ones that bitch around but dub do the same. if anything they always pull the "sub elitist" card when they the one hardcore af about watching it in english. Most shows are best in their original languages. would you watch Avatar in japanese? Hell no. Alot of shows simply are set to sound better and more fluent in their home language. its nothing against the voice actors. avatar had a great cast and I wouldnt trade them for nobody. FMAB i will say is one of the few that could be watched in dub alongside dbz, naruto, and most shounen/action packed shows. Death note is also good in dub too. But in the end, its always more fluent and the dialogues flow better with the og language. Not saying they HAVE to watch sub. They can watch whatever they want. If I enjoy the show then I will enjoy it in whatever langauge they react in since I already watched it. But just voicing my opinion

i feel like the only woman among your watchers which mostly seem to be dudes lmao i hope you guys watch witcher at some point, even if you don’t react to it!! i’m sure you’ll like it. it’s not on here but i hope you see this and add “the wilds” to your probably very long list of shows. it’s about a group of teenage girls who get stuck on an island and i think it’s very much something you’d enjoy.

I highly recommend watching Train to Busan and All of us are dead. Train to Busan is a Korean zombie movie that is just pure perfection I can’t describe it but it’s really good. To prove I’m not lying you can look up the reviews it has they are only good pretty much. Now I also highly recommend watching All of us are dead it’s very intense Korean zombie show with great characters and a decent plot that is very exciting definitely worth watching i’d say because it’s good for being a zombie series.

@Melkor, it wasn't bad by any means. I was just expecting more since I had big expectations from Train to Busan. But even the animated prequel and the sequel disappointed me so idk. Maybe it's just hard to find a zombie movie/show that will really surprise me after Train to Busan. Since you seem to like the zombie genre I recommend REC, other than Train to Busan is probably one of my favourites in the genre. And I need to check more sk shows, I'm well versed in the movies (The Handmaiden and Memories of Murder are in my top 10 of movies ever made after all) but I've only watched a couple of sk shows. By the way, I forgot to tell you I finished Vinland Saga and I loved it. I'm even considering reading the manga now that I'm going on a trip and won't have free wifi for more than a month. So thank you for the recommendation 😊

Oh I meant for their own sake, like to make room for it on their own time since it'll probably never win a poll (most of the time I see people choose it, it's of their own volition rather than as a poll result). Of course, it would be cool if they did reactions to it, but it's a show that's worth seeing one way or another given its historical weight; wouldn't want them to miss out on that.

I hope you guys check out something other then the most popular current shounen series out there, like Kaguya Sama or classics like Cowboy Bebop or Evangelion (which is technically a shounen). There is a lot of interesting stuff in the world of anime you might miss if you just go with the most popular stuff on polls.

I don't understand how you are comparing Invincible to ANY Anime. They couldn't be more different styles of storytelling. The ONLY similarity between any Anime and Invincible is that they are animated, other than that, it's a night and day difference. For example, I don't like anime as I'm not a fan of the tropes and constant inner monologues, but I really enjoyed Invincible.

I don't think that's necessary. Avatar Studios will probably release something here in the next few years. I think an adaptation of the Avatar comics and the Kyoshi novels is very realistic.

Think none of the comics sadly come close to the level of storytelling and character writing ATLA had, but the first few comics are defintely better than the latter ones that's for sure. The Kyoshi novels honestly come close for me though, they really did Lola's girl right. My suggestion was somewhat tongue in cheek Robert hahah, though just seeing how they'd even attempt to do a book reaction would be funny in of itself
