Love this episode and your investment in Mob. I love the revelation of ??? Mob, which feels so distinctly alien to even the 100% Mobs we’ve seen so far. ??? Mob is way more similar to whatever the thing was at the very beginning of S1E1 than Mob - it’s something that “must never be touched.” I think that’s what Ritsu is referring to when he says “that wasn’t [his brother.]” Regular old denial would be the better outcome in that case, honestly.

This morning I started watching Spy x Family and I guess after this episode Mob and Anya from the other anime just joined Al, Ed and Itadori (from jjk) to my "adorable kids in anime that must be protected at all cost" list. I'm watching this show slowly and right now this is the last episode I watched and I have to say I am concerned by Mob's wellbeing, that kid needs to find a way to channel his emotions. Also, I'm confident that Dimple will come back, but just in case... I'm manfesting he'll be back with us shortly.

You guys misunderstood the idea behind what Ritsu meant when he said "It wasn't him". Remember when Teru knocked Mob out after choking him. We saw ???% question marks instead of 100%. And the narrator said, "Teru sensed in there something that must never be touched." When Mob and his brother were bullied, we see that Mob was pushed by the bully. It's possible that Mob hit his head and also fell unconscious. What emerged next was a terrific power. And Ritsu said "That wasn't my brother." He was referring to that power that awakened in Mob at that moment. The same "???%".

The idea behind the Dimple flashbacks was that Mob felt something when he got exorcised but then he remembered he had nothing but bad memories with him and was a bad influence. This is why he then told Teru he wasn't upset at him getting exorcised. It's a meta-joke about how when a character dies in a show they do flashbacks to all the "good times" but with Dimple there were no "good times".

It was Mob who put the school back when he reached 100% sadness.
