You guys have to watch Hunter x Hunter after this. I promise you it will be a journey that you will cherish and wish you could relive for the first time. It has a similar blend of wholesomeness and darkness that FMA Brotherhood has. Trust me.

First OVA is so off the main plot that it makes no difference when you watched it. I would prefer if you watch it before the end so you can end the show at a high note

It never got animated, but if you want a sweet (with some sad feelings too) story involving Ed, Al, and Winry as children, this is a short bonus chapter from the manga called "The Long Night". We saw a glimpse of its contents a little while back, when Winry remembers a conversation with Al where he laments about not being able to sleep. But the actual bonus chapter will give you all the feelings about the trio. I think that following this series, you would both really enjoy watching Fruits Basket. It's also an older and fully completed show that's written by a woman. It not a big action show like most of your reaction series but I promise it is one of the most emotional series ever with the most lovable protagonist. Also because it has a really great dub.

Also, OVAs 2 and 3 are stories that are mentioned in some episodes, so the reason people tell you to watch them in a specific order is so you watch them AFTER they've been mentioned. I personally think it's better to watch them first, but I won't insist. Either way doesn't make a huge difference

that or princess tutu, which is also a 10/10 classic anime that will rip your heart into pieces. i just want more reactions in general to anime that is targeting at women, there's such a treasure trove of stuff that never gets seen.

Especially if it’s the 2019 version. Though keep in mind it deals with some really rough subject matter. I think it generally does so very well and with a lot of nuance, but it can be a tough watch, even if it is also ultimately hopeful and often funny.

Ova 3 is after 35; ova 2 is after 39; ova 1 is whenever but it's not a palate cleanser ep if you finish the series before you get to it.

Even if you guys wont put it up as reactions; After done with Brotherhood and you guys still want more FMA I heavily recommend to double back on FMA '03 even if just the beginning 10-20 episodes to get greater context of the beginning. As the stories diverge after 20ish episodes; and '03 has more details about the first act

let the olivier simping begin lol i kinda agree with your top characters but i'd throw olivier in there too, she's definetly one of my favourite characters of the show and i'd say of all the animes i've watched so far; not number one but definetly top 5 i love snow when i'm home but i'm the most uncoordinated person alive so yeah, walking in the snow is not my fortee (though i'm pretty decent at skiing and ice skating) i have to agree with lola... i hate summer and the island were i curretly live has a temperature of 20 ºC aprox all year, so i miss the cold and the rain too much ed, al, winry and may are some of the mosot adorable characters i've ever seen. i'd say only anime character i'd say are just as cute are itadori from jujutsu kaisen and anya from spy x family.

true that FMA has one of the best Dub in anime the only character i love so much in Japanese is Pride VA it is way more creepier and mysterious than the Dub the rest are equally great in my opinion

In the first Fullmetal anime they do a better job at explaining the whole alchemy thing. Each alchemist knows how to change the shape of something into something else but that something else still has the same molecular make-up. Each State Alchemist however has a speciality. Roy knows how to modify any gas into pure Oxygen which is flammable which is why he needs a spark to ignite it. Kimblee has the ability to transform organic matter into Sulfur (his first name is "Solf"). This means he can transform human beings into literal bombs hence his name: Red Lotus Alchemist. The center of a Red Lotus is yellow representing Sulfur and the red/crimson petals represent blood. Roy's ability is not limited by range but Kimblee needs to touch a person in order to make them go boom. Scar is aware of this so a Philosopher's stone doesn't really mean much against someone quick on their feet.

You can watch OVA #1 at any time really. But I definitely don't think it's a good idea to wait after the ending.
