This episode was devastating… soul crushing… It almost felt worse than someone actually dying. I felt true, pure despair as it was close to ending and we finally saw SAUL. Jimmy McGill is dead. At least for now…

AriSZ

This episode killed me. For the last few minutes as I watched Saul Goodman, I couldn't stop crying, I couldn't stop thinking that Jimmy was dead.

Just because you guys have been wondering how Rhea's name is pronounced, it's "Ray" :)

i imagine the review for this one is pretty long haha. what an episode!

My favourite TV show will be over four weeks from now. I have loved this journey, and I have loved being able to share it with so many passionate fans. There will never, ever be anything like this again. ❤️❤️❤️

I'm so fucking sad

Mati D.

I was expecting for Walt to show up at the end, like the first time they meet.

Dante

That time jump was executed to perfection. Felt like a gunshot that killed the character of Jimmy McGill. Out of nowhere and in an instant. It’s all Saul now. So good.

I have always found it incredible writing that Jimmy and Kim never said "I love you" to each other. Instead, we watched them express it in a thousand other ways. I'm still torn about it being said here, but in any case it fit perfectly with the themes. Really sad ending.

Suhhh Dude

Saul upgraded to worlds best lawyer mug because the previous best lawyer quit :(

ArtficialFlvrz

Well, the "then we'll know we can forget" speech is what Mike told Jimmy when he had PTSD from the shooting near the border. It's not something Jimmy believes or has much experience with, but he's repeating it to himself and Kim because he hopes it really does work that way, cause if it doesn't then they're fucked for life.

♫ And then I go and spoil it all By saying somethin' stupid like, "I love you" ♫

ParanoidGary

What an incredible episode of television, maybe the best of this entire show.

Jed U

Just saw a Youtube video that showed that quote Saul says at the end "Let justice be done though the heavens may fall" is a quote Chuck told Howard. So amazing. So painful

malealoo

I'm in so much pain

Howard: "Been sleeping in the guest house for the better part of a year." The way Kim used this to her advantage to lie to Cheryl and gaslight her...

MaxVSTheGames

Something else worth noticing: Saul's mug now says "World best lawyer" instead of "World 2nd best lawyer", because Kim isn't a lawyer anymore... :(

Gary

When Kim kissed Saul in the parking lot and you could hear the smack it reminded me of Michael kissing Fredo I knew it was over. also there must be a flash back with Kim coming cause the character deserves more

We are right there. Almost at the intersection with Breaking Bad. At the end of this episode, Saul is talking on the phone regarding a new client he mistakes for another "public masturbation" case. Then he is corrected and says "Oh, a new one?" Now, in the Better Call Saul episode of Breaking Bad, where we see Saul for the first time, he is Badger's lawyer and mistakes him for a public masturbator. Badger corrects him and says "Naw, I got busted for selling meth.... allegedly." So, that could have been the case Saul was discussing on the phone near the end of this episode. Walt and Jesse are next. Next episode or two.

I literally thought the exact same thing. The Breaking Bad universe is basically the tv equivalent of Godfather 1 and 2.

Camzeee

You know what I've been most impressed about with the writing in the Breaking Bad universe -emotional timing. These writers know exactly when to drop a bomb, when to show character moments, when to let it simmer, when to make you confused or upset or hopeful. It's like orange juice that's freshly and perfectly squeezed but instead of pulp it's emotions. So many shows are focused on the shocks and the twists but they neglect the other moments: the times in between, the time when you have to come to terms with your actions, the time when people are really vulnerable. It makes the characters come to life so much better and I tell you, the writers for this show are so far ahead of the field when it comes to this that it's actually crazy.

Shadoe Price

At the beginning of the episode when Jimmy and Kim are at the hotel you can see the painting from Breaking Bad of a man in a rowboat leaving his family is hanging on the wall above their bed. Love that detail.

Gary

So Saul is talking about Badger on the phone in the closet after the rime jump right? Walt is in Saul office having already told Francesca about Badgers case, also with 2min left in the episode you can hear Walt coughing in the waiting room right after Francesca says got it
