omg i was not expecting this! i was so exited to see this one since you found selim so cute and adorable jhdsds pride is probably one of the most creepy characters i've ever seen

sand_fl

also you should listen to the japanese va of pride, way creepier if you ask me. the english va does a wonderful job too, but the japanese voice gives me nightmares maybe i just find it creepier because selim's normal voice in japanese sounds more childish that the english one so the difference between selim and pride is more noticable in japanese

Jacob

I've been waiting for this one ever since the episode 32 reaction

Moon

NOW I WILL BE WAITING FOR EP 41....I WAS CRYING SO HARD🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️🙏🙏❤️❤️

CirithUngol

lol I was waiting for their reaction on this, was waiting for a table flip!

sand_fl

so... he never was the spider? jsdhahsk istg i'll never forget the moment you see pride for the first time (he was just in the shadows) and you went like "pride is a butterfly" hjust hilarious

Harfie

Lol I had the same reaction…this is like AOT season 2 episode 6 level of surprise

I love how through this whole time, Pride has been babysitting Sloth and making sure he doesn't slack off, while also playing house with his youngest brother Wrath. On the surface it sounds all nice and cute, until you realize that even Wrath, with his ultimate eye and fighting skills, was afraid of this little creep. And at this point it is safe to say that Selim will never work as a point of weakness for Wrath. Little did Mustang know just how true that line was.

sand_fl

please, delete this. while this is not an explicit spoiler it still kinda is.

Friend

sorry for that, I was too happy and didn't think about it...

FMAB has maybe the most "Oh I've been waiting for this one" episodes of the reaction content I follow ,but boy howdy I've been WAITING for this one

sand_fl

@Grifis lol, no problem, we've all been there, we just have to try not to give them expectations to specific episodes so they can be surprised

Robert H.

If you ever do a rewatch, Selim said many things about his "father". You realize with the knowledge from this episode that he's not talking about King Bradley at all. Also, as the child of King Bradley, it's easy to become a leader if King Bradley dies or gets a new body. It's a really good cover. And the fact that he looks like a small child is reflective of how pride can be. Someone prideful would need someone to shower them with constant attention, ignoring or refuting their claims would be pointless as they would act out to get the attention they want, or fight back with their pride on the line.

Alex

Lola literally crying from shock 😄 🤣 😂

SunnyhuunS

I can confidently say that the rest of the episodes from here on out continue to be bangers! Excited to see your journey through the rest of the show <3

Speaking of King Bradley, the voice actor is also the narrator. He does the voiceover at the end of the episodes for the previews, and he stays in character.

I'm actually eagerly anticipating every episode now. Fullmetal Alchemist is now really getting started. All the storylines are coming together and a lot of dots are being connected now. Roy is mobilizing the military in the east with Grumman, Olivier is mobilizing the Briggs soldiers in the north, Hohenheim is doing something with the souls in his body, Scar and Dr Marcoh are deciphering the notes from Scar's brother, ... and then there are so many subplots, be it May and her way to save her clan, Ling trying to overcome Greed, Lan Fan with her arm, Ed and Al trying to get their bodies back, ... And at the same time, besides all this plot, we have so much character depth and character development. The show really does a lot of things right.

Kimblee is my favorite villain, even though he's a crazy killer, he has a kind of respect for those who strongly follow their beliefs

Jacob

For the record, Riza didn't say Ed was *in love* with Winry, she said he *loves* her. Ed just heard it that way. I wonder why he's so sensitive about that subject. 🧐🧐

Sebastian

this reveal was all i could think about a few episodes ago when they were like “oh i hope selim isnt too devastated when he learns the truth about bradley”

sand_fl

isn't the narrator the father of the sins? at least in japanese it is

sand_fl

@Robert H. yeah, i've watched the whole show 3 times, i noticed those little details but i'm pretty sure there's many things that i'm missing.

sand_fl

now rereading it i realise that the 'i was not expecting this' can be misleading lol, i meant that i was not expecting such an early update

Robert H.

What struck me most was that Selim went into the library and asked the two brothers about their reason for being in the library, because he wanted to know what they were going to do next. He's just a kid who's interested in his "hero", the youngest alchemist, right?

Raziel_BBT

in the episode that Selim appears on the library someone commented sarcastically that "Selim is just a sweet boy" or something like that. I was hopping that they didn't get that hint. I'm glad they missed

Watching you review FMAB makes me wonder what I thought about all these little mysteries in the shew the first time I watched it. I honestly can’t remember even really thinking about any of these things. And I’ve seen it so many times now the mystery aspect doesn’t even register for me.

Nikodem

I think Alkahestry follows the law of the equivalent exchange. You can somewhat see it every time when May uses it, for example, when she transmuted a little Xiao-Mei out of rock in episode 35, you could she a hole in the floor from the material she used to do it.

Alex

How do you know Bradley was afraid of Selim? I did enjoy Selim trolling Bradley in his school essay on his dad w/ "....he always works hard and spends all his time thinking about the people of this country. He always listens to me and that's why I love him the end." lol

Mahni Alizadeh

One thing I noticed when rewatching this with y’all was that Selim at one point says ‘my dad always listens to what I say’ at dinner one time and with full context it’s kind of a power move in pride’s part

Avery

If you think about it, Selim is Wrath's older brother and the first son of Father of sins.
