maybe read the description of the video you're commenting on

Dante

Off topic but has anybody heard about Sam’s upcoming movie called Leave the World Behind starring Julia Roberts, Kevin Bacon, Ethan Hawke, Denzel Washington, and Mahershala Ali? It’s based off the book of the same name and I am so excited!!!

I haven’t seen too much marketing around it yet but it doesn’t come out until December and it’s a Netflix movie so probably will ramp up in a few months. He’s also working on an Apple TV+ drama series inspired by Fritz Lang’s 1927 film Metropolis. It is also called Metropolis but will tell a new story in the same world. Lots of Sam Esmail on the horizon and I’m here for it!

Glad someone linked this, was actually waiting until the Tyrell episode to post it as well - such an important scene for Tyrell that unfortunately never made the cut and was a deleted scene. This scene is a must watch

Myeh
>>103678067

Yeah, this one and one from 408 are ones I'm basically requiring myself to view when rewatching the series. If you know the one, you know the one. Legit two of the best scenes of the show

Dustywood
>>103678067

The poster "Tom" will be upset though, he's very anti people watching deleted scenes - last time I posted one in S2 he was not too happy. But yes, these are such good scenes! Wish they made the cut

Dante
>>103678067

I love this scene too but I do understand why it was cut at the same time for reasons I don’t want to say yet since they haven’t finished and I’m too lazy to ROT13 rn lol

Sam esmail is also working on a battlestar gallataca series as well

There's a awesome montage of 90 minutes of deleted scenes of Mr. Robot online which is nice watching after you finish the series, makes you feel like you get one extra long episode since it's 90 minutes of deleted footage. Heaps of Leon and Price scenes!!

Smol PSA for anybody who hasn't seen the whole series yet, there's all sorts of spoilers in that thread, careful out there.

Martin Nicholls

Dropping bombs in this episode. What could it mean, who knows :) NGL I like that they don't drag out the did he/didn't he thing in re MR and Vera, that could get annoying.

After doing some more reading I think Mahershala Ali replaced Denzel in the film so unfortunately don’t think Denzel will be in it anymore. I don’t know how I didn’t know about his BSG series!

@Dante - I've always wondered about it if you do get time later, because the whole S4 Tyrell ark never made much sense to me - it's the only thing I still remain confused about or maybe I should just wait a bit

Dustywood

I really enjoy this episode, the ending is so perfect when watching a second time through because it's easy to miss but literally every question you have about it was answered in a previous season already - I won't mention which Season but you've already been presented with the answers :) You overlooked it at the time and shrugged it off - that's the beauty of the show because we all did the same thing. Glad to see this one has got you guys as well!

Myeh
>>103678067

Yeah that's why I said don't read the comments. It's the only place I can find where the individual scene itself is uploaded compared to in a comp though, which is probably much more likely to spoil. If anyone has a better means lmk

Brandon B.

Not sure if anyone else has answered this, but "Dolores Haze" is Darlene's online alias. Like Elliot's is Sam Sepiol.

This is really worth watching before going much further as it definitely will answer some questions you have about Tyrell's motivations in future episodes. It's so weird that it got cut

Dustywood

It's a good find Myeh, that was also my fear of posting a previous deleted scene from a few seasons ago that there maybe recommendations for other Mr. Robot videos in the YouTube algorithms for them that I may not see - props on finding a Reddit one where there isn't spoilers on the edge of your screen (e.g YouTube recommendations) I really love this scene

Dolores Haze is the name of the young girl from the novel "Lolita". The heart shaped glasses that she wears are a also reference to the poster for Kubrik's movie adaptation of the novel. There's a lot more Lolita references scattered throughout this show, I'm pretty sure the book itself is actually shown on screen at some point, but I can't remember where.

I think we see the book Lolita in the scene in season 2 where Angela meets White Rose. It's sitting on the table with the old school computer.

So I can defend my name, I'm fine with them watching deleted scenes lol, just think it should wait until after the season of the scene is done. Maybe not everyone knows this, but Esmail has gone on record to say that there weren't any scenes cut due to runtime; the network let him make episodes of varying lengths. So any scenes cut were because of his creative vision. I agree with people that this scene fits a lot more and in my subjective opinion shouldn't have been cut (unlike the Angela-Irving one which I felt was really bad for them to watch so soon after 2x12 because of how it removes some of Angela's mystique), but my personal opinion isn't relevant here and I gotta stick to my principles. It's either all deleted scenes or nothing, can't show favoritism. Why not wait until the season is done and then link them a playlist or something? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Personally, I just find this scene and one from 408 extremely compelling pieces of the season that shouldn't have been left out, and honestly if I'm able to get anyone irl to watch Mr Robot, I'd wanna show them those scenes after the eps they were cut fom. To me they just complement what's there really, really well and I like the idea of including them before the end of the show. Obviously I don't really EXPECT them to watch it, but I still like having it up there for people to view if they so please. As long as they're aware that the comment sections of the videos will have spoilers.

I think there are some shows/stories where external factors affect the story that was "supposed" to be told, and in those cases it makes sense to correct whatever those errors are. But Mr Robot is not one of those shows, as everything in it is part of a creative vision. So to me it's not about whatever my personal feelings on the deleted scene are, even if I agree it enhances the story apparently Esmail doesn't feel the same.
