Thank you, was waiting for this all week 👏🏾

Chidi.

"Get on with it, motherfucker." Btw, that’s not my response to you editing this episode. Looking forward to your reaction.

Chris Truex

I know people can get weird about posting, but you guys post FAR more frequently than other creators, and I for one really appreciate it

Farbod

I really loved watching this episode with you two. Season 3 is probably my favorite.

ErdTirdMans

Hells yes. Eagerly awaiting the edited one. Take your time though - yous post so much I'm not about to rush you even though *I want it so bad*

Favorite shot of the whole series is the pan up from Mcnulty and Bunny to ALLL the beer cans on the roof. There have been so many conversations like this, these people trying to challenge the system, yet nothing has changed Also the final shot of the season, Bunny and Bubs meeting in the remains of Hamsterdam, Bunny has to look someone he couldn’t help in the face Iraq War metaphors come in full circle this episode Season opens with the public housing high rise going down that are referred to as “the towers” Slim Charles : Don't matter who did what to who at this point. Fact is, we went to war, and now there ain't no going back. I mean, shit, it's what war is, you know? Once you in it, you in it. Avon got taken down but another even more violent group took his place

Hard agree. Also most channels don’t have hour long discussions so that’s even more editing on their plate

Same lol The discussions hit the right level of sensitive to the characters/issues AND in depth discussion of the themes, parallels character arcs They called Dee dying in like Season 1 episode 11 because they realized where the season was leading and knew his role in the story would be fulfilled by the end of the season

francisco cervantes

Thank you! Love your reactions so much! Can't wait for next season

Alberto Cruz

Well ladies this was an amazing season reaction by far the best Wire reactions on YouTube. Only thing I’ll say about season 4 is welcome to Marlo’s Baltimore :)

Leric

yeah your version is a little quicker the audio always desynchronizes from my copy no matter what

If you're on a PC, right click the reaction video and then click on inspect. Then go to the console tab in the new window that popped up and copy paste this into it: document.querySelector('video').playbackRate = 0.95910 Now it should stay in sync. If you're on mobile I don't know how it can be fixed.

space1999

Fun fact: Last episode we had a cameo from a former Mayor of Baltimore, Kurt Schmoke He famously advocated for decriminalization of drug use (in the 90s!) He talks to Mayor Royce about Hamsterdam suggesting he’ll be described as “the most dangerous man in America” which is the title the media gave HIM when he lobbied for drug legalization https://www.governing.com/archive/states-forced-to-deal-with-new-heroin-problems.html Man wanted to turn the “criminal Justice war on drugs into a public health war”, advocating for a clean needle exchange program. He lays it all out in his quote in the article describing how his proposals would have reduced the number of incarcerated people in the country as well as preventing them from having any kind of criminal record

Yeah I don't know why it does that. I always have to pause it multiple times to keep it on pace. It's very strange. I wonder what causes that

LM is located in Serbia. We in Europe have 25fps on a lot of media (HBO). I think the US have 24fps. So it will drift 1fps over time. I tend to have the problem in revers when i watch reactors based in the USA. that my content is faster then the reactor.

Isak Haugerud
>>117137611

And no matter what, some people will have to fix it on their end. If they sync it to the american version in editing, then their european subscribers will have to apply the fix instead.

Exactly bro I'm the one paying. Imagine if we had to do this shit for Netflix. And yeah but only americans matter. /sarcasm

Long live Hamsterdam! I'm glad the two of you weren't swayed by the bullshit Carcetti was throwing. His speech was nothing but buzzwords around the notion that "we'd be going back to the status quo." He witnessed first-hand how Hamsterdam was good for Western district yet crushed it under the weight of his own ambition, although he did give a good thought for 5 minutes. This reaction of seeing right through Carcetti's bullshit is what I've missed from other reactors of the show. They take what he said at face value without actually thinking about it and cheered on him as some kind of a messiah.

Hamsterdam was already dead... absolutely nothing was getting salvaged the way it went down being discovered. the only thing he would have achieved defending it would be burning down his career
