Derek

" lola was supposed to edit the bear for tonight but again we got unexpectedly drunk so we’ll post the bear tomorrow with the wire" this is so real

Cole

Can someone post link it’s not working for me

sand_fl

lol, i was about to go to bed because i work in the morning and i was sad i didn't get to see the bear reaction since it's one of the only reactions i make time to see on time... guess i'll sleep a bit less tonight, no problem, i'll just have a moster for breakfast

sand_fl

well, you may be more drunk (drunker?) than you think... link is not working

Vincent Smith

Nearly 3 hours of our girls! This night shift just got way more bearable

sand_fl
>>117994437

3 hours? yeah, love your videos but may just watch a bit now. don't want any weird google reviews for looking like a zombie.

TeaDrinker3000

A big shoutout to whoever it was in the comments that said to me before that the "QnA was never going to come" and it was a waste of time asking for it. I had full faith in the girls, so who ever it was that said that to me can SUCK IT

Komikall

WHAAAATTTT!? NEVER CLICKED A NOTI FASTER!

sand_fl

lol, yes, that's how you're supposed to hold a wine glass. i pour them every fucking day at work. nices glasses btw, yesterday night i cut my finger with one of those fuckers. they break easily.

David

Your camera is drunk too … it kept trying to autofocus and going from clear to blurry 😂

TeaDrinker3000

Not the camera moving in and out of focus like 4 times in the first minute alone 😂😂😂 You guys have been so funny and chaotic this week with the intros too. I'm all for the unhinged energy 👌

Camzeee

Omg this is 3 hours long haha. I'm going to bed but it's gonna be a fun watch/listen in the morning.

Michael M

Now I want a once-monthly series where you guys just get hammered and watch bad (but entertaining) movies. Sigghhhh.

Alex

Damn, missed the question submit post, looking forward to watching!

HenryM

I thought I'd never see the day...

TeaDrinker3000
>>117995122

the reaction gradually getting drunker and drunker and more serbian as time goes on. genuinely a great idea

sand_fl

okay, i think i'll just watch like 30 mins today and leave the rest for tomorrow but just speaking for myself i really don't mind about the video not being edited or being "rough". it's nice to see you two in a video that's not a reaction. it'd be nice to have some more of these of you just talking.

sand_fl

i'd give you my left arm if you react to bottoms. like, i literally sent you a dm the other day with the release date saying "this woukd be a great movie to start your recations" or something like that. but also... your name is fucking amazing and it's a MUST too.

Shivering King Banana

Why don't you girls get the second q&a done before you start planning them out.

sand_fl

i need pateron to get it's shit together and add the tool of posting pictures in the comments because lexa is in my lap watching the video with me and she looks super cute and i'm not about to out in on twitter just to comment the link. just know that while i should be sleeping i'm just watching you drink wine while petting my cat.

TeaDrinker3000

There's definitely a lot to be said about you doing movie reactions that are just the raw video like this QnA video. Get drunk, watch the movie, record the full reaction, and then us patrons will just sync up the movie ourselves on our own end. You wouldn't have to hire an outside editor or edit at all, and put it up here for the patrons only. They would be easy to make, low effort, you'd be able to burn off steam watching whatever you want and I for one would find them very entertaining to watch. We already have so much seriousness and effort put into the series' reactions, the movies' reactions would be a welcome (unhinged) break.

sand_fl
>>117996713

i have no idea what that is and it's pretty late to do research. i'll look into it tomorrow.

BobJ

This is hilarious. Booze + Q&A.........very funny

sand_fl

girls, as a spanish person i have to say that as much as i think some spanish people are trash... it's also a great place to live. if you want places with gorgeous beaches i'd say maybe the canary islands or the balearic islands are your best options. i personally love the north and its weather, if you love rainy weather that's your place. other than that some parts of catalunya and valencia have great beaches too. i currently live in a small village in la comunidad valenciana which also have nice beaches. i'm not a fan of big cities, but if you've lived all your live in belgrade i imagine you'll need a decently big city.

sand_fl

lol, 'our favourite nikki... which is not named nikki' bdjdjsk do not worry, it'd be weird as fuck to me too if you started calling me by my first name but 🥲🥲🥲 you're my favourite too ❤️ and well, sad to hear you'll not be taking about books but will check your recommendations. honestly milena, same. portrait of a lady on fire is an amazing movie and the last couple minutes are engrained in my brain. i've rewatched it at least 5 times. and little women (2019) is also an amazing movie that i rewatch often. i have to suggest from my favourites the handmaiden (2016). one of the greatest movies ever made, any movie of park chan-wook for that matter. but i also agree with lola, ready or not is incredible and grace is one of the funniest main characters on a horror movie. a scream queen if i've ever seen one.

Nina

I haven't watched all of it yet but on the editing bit, I do hope that if you do get someone to do it for you that your editing style won't change. I see a lot of editors add in a lot of memes and things like that and it's just annoying to watch. I really like your simple editing style that's just there to show the most important scenes.

Jack SV

Damn it just went I’m about to go to bed. I’m saving this for my morning drive to work tomorrow :))

HenryM

Best podcast ever lol. As a native speaker, listening to you guys speak Spanish was delightful 😁

Avery

Such a treat! Can we just call this podcast "Wine Time with LM" and make this a monthly thing? I think you underestimate our ability to listen to you just talk about anything for 3 hours.

Shiera Seastar

What a wonderful unexpected surprise!! Love the uncut unedited nature of this and now I have something to look forward to watching when I'm free! 😊😊😊 Now I regret not posting a question in the q/a a few months back, wanted to ask you guys if you knew or were fans of the youtuber Yugopnik who's super underrated and one of the best anti capitalist content creators out there who also happens to be Serbian too! Ah well until next time I guess 😭

Aj

I'm honestly surprised you guys (or people in general) dig anime this much. As much as I like certain anime shows, I can't see one ever reaching the heights of something like The Wire or Breaking Bad, and I've watched most of the ones that have appeared on this channel. I often find myself liking the concept of anime far more than the actual execution. That's not to say there aren't shows out there I really enjoy, there definitely are, but I feel as if the medium has too many limitations and relies heavily on tropes, fan-service, etc. I'm sort of a reluctant or unenthusiastic weeb, if that makes sense. Anime ought to be one of the best, if not the best, mediums, and there's nothing like experiencing a good anime for the first time (not even a good TV show), but...yeah, altogether they just miss the mark for me when I put my critical hat on.

bondbond53

Absolutely based Death Note opinion both of you

Shiera Seastar

Ooh Portrait of a Lady on Fire is one of my favorite films of all time!! Milena has such great taste! Love the female gaze in that movie, so many scenes from it will be etched forever in my mind like the one where we see Adele Haenel's face for the first time! Sadly it's super underrated with barely any reactions to it on youtube (what an unjust world we live in). When you guys eventually start movie reactions hope you react to more movies of that style (there are so many more indie/arthouse ones like it from incredible directors even Little Women is one of them) rather than the more popular blockbuster franchise reactions that you see all the time on youtube

Farbod

It breaks my heart that you guys don't include Mr. Robot in your top tens.

Aj
>>118006228

First third of Death Note is unmatched as far as anime is concerned, up to episode 12 or so (with the introduction of Misa, go figure), that show is incredibly good. The next third was more of a standard anime quality, and the final third was a complete shitshow.

James Miller
>>118005893

I mean I’ve seen 12 different anime shows so far and none of them have relied on fan-service, although I do notice certain tropes, but then again I notice just as many tropes in live action tv. For me shows like Attack on Titan, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, and Vinland Saga all reach the heights of Breaking Bad. Attack on Titan alone tackles so many real world themes and has a narrative structure the likes of which I’ve never seen in live action. Also I’d argue that while animation has certain limitations, so does live action. There are certain stories I’ve seen in anime that could never ever be done in live action because of the limitations of the medium and just how ambitious anime can be. Just throwing in my two cents

JATLA

The GOATs 🐐

Aj
>>118005893

I don't think I've ever watched an anime, and I've seen all the ones you mentioned (apart from Vinland Saga), that came close to something like Breaking Bad. I like them, don't get me wrong, but I think it's a deeper issue with the medium as a whole. It just can't compete with a well-made live action show. I simply don't think it's mature or well-made enough to reach those heights, especially in terms of the writing. A bit shallow.. I agree about the potential of anime, though. It can do things that no other medium can.

JATLA

It’s cool to find out little things about yous through Q&As, I have a degree in software engineering/computer science, and I’d say it’s much easier than applied mathematics and statistics, so it should be easy for you two to get the degree too😂

Luis

Thank you for setting time aside to post this Q&A! Mana from Heaven!! My hope for your movie reactions is that you focus on movies centered around people of color as most movie reaction channels do very white-centric content. The joy of the smaller time commitment could be more freedom with intriguing choices.

Kara
>>118006903

they say its "a really good show" and "top 15" a little later, which is high considering how many shows they watch lol

Payam Sharifi
>>118006228

Absolutely. Death Note was actually THE show that got me into anime, and I stand by it as kinda the perfect starter if you're on the right wavelength. The pacing of the first 10 or so episodes is honestly so gripping, it's unbelievable. But as it goes on, yeah there's honestly just not that much to dig into. It's iconic and really entertaining a lot of the time, but yeah it's not that great. It's really funny how many people consider it really smart lol. It has its clever moments but the way it handles characters and themes is quite shallow.

bondbond53
>>118006228

I’ll be honest with you guys Death Note is just not my type of show really. I don’t really like protagonists that know it all and all that. I mean I do like Lelouch mildly. As such, I would never be able to enjoy DN even without its issues

bondbond53

Omg being a Eastern European girl this felt so much like catching up with my girlfriends. Like I literally feel like I know you guys (I know, I know parasocial relationships haha). Also, didn’t know Milena had a girlfriend. Congrats!

Payam Sharifi
>>118005893

I would just say that I feel like as someone who was raised on Hollywood, I've noticed it's easy to dismiss the less grounded tendencies of a lot of media that comes out of different cultures. Because it's not just anime, if you look at a lot of mainstream films coming out of, say, Asia, from Godzilla to Bollywood, there's an ungrounded, unreal feel in comparison. And I've seen a lot of people, including me at one point, struggle to take these things seriously. I also think another thing contributing to this is that we overlook the more heightened elements of our own cultural exports due to our familiarity with them. Breaking Bad is one of my favorite things ever, but it's also a show that revels in its pulpiness. I'm not saying the show is showing about this criminals being badass, but there are undeniably moments meant to convey that. It's meant to be entertaining too. And there's some really fun goofy moments too. But there's a familiarity to how these tones are mixed, it feel natural and right, it doesn't take away from the maturity of the characters, story, and themes. An anime like Attack on Titan also mixes these tones. There are many, many moments where it's just about a badass fight. And it's goofy and emotions are heightened, etc. etc. It doesn't feel the same, but there's a mix of shallow entertainment and deeper art at play there too. Not saying it's gonna resonate with you if you give it a chance. It might not. But I think there are works of the medium that will. It just takes time to tune into the different wavelengths of a different culture/medium/mode of expression. Some of the greatest films of all time are melodramas, or horror, and there are people who would struggle to take those genres seriously too. It's all a matter of taste and familiarity. Ok sorry I didn't mean to type so much. I just get where you're coming from and would recommend exploring more with an open mind, especially outside of the mainstream. And definitely, definitely recommend watching Vinland Saga. I really like AoT and FMA:B, but Vinland to me is easily better than the two of them, especially when it comes to writing. Probably the first thing I'd recommend to anyone skeptical of anime as a serious artistic medium.

Robert H.

Since you're talking about character arcs at 42-47. I think that Zuko from Avatar went through a very positive character development similar to Thorfinn and themed Redemption.

Kara

This is really fun! like a low stakes podcast vibe I never even considered you reacting to movies cuz you never had before, but it's exciting + makes sense! There's lots I'd love to see. A cool schedule would be like current show slots + 1 movie a week + a monthly Patron-only "podcast" in this format. maybe restructure the membership tiers too I had no idea you both switched to computer science (forgot you were even studying and not doing this full time lmao) that's dope. seeing you interact with milena's gf off cam was so funny + cute lol

Robert H.

Since you talked about astrology at 1:14:00. Personally, I'm a very scientific guy. If there is a factual situation, that is my basis. And with Zodiac signs or the existence of ghosts or aliens on Earth, I am immediately annoyed or even angry. Especially with Zodiac signs every person can find himself in every description, moreover the description also changes completely from astrologer to astrologer. To speak more personally, my racist mother is one of those people who thinks very spiritually about these things, and let's put it this way: she wasn't really the best mother, neither for me nor for my brother. And when my father died in December, she crawled out of her hole like a money-grubbing snake and she and her new lover clung to the money and house that my father had built up on his own under severe physical strain, which is also how he died so young. And since my father did not divorce, because then my brother would lose his entire future (He has no school diploma and worked in the small business of my father, which he would have inherited and was part of the house, which would have had to be sold in a divorce). In addition, my mother was keen on the widow's pension, and my father gets a very good pension because he worked a lot, although the last 15 years were difficult (due to my mother's desire to move to a hick town on the other side of Germany), which is why my mother has cheated on my father with virtually every man in the area before she just left 10 years ago (my brother has not had it so easy because of this). So yes, I hate this woman very much and when someone talks about Zodiac signs, ghosts or aliens, I really notice how pure hatred arises in me, not only because it is simply against my scientific principles, but also because I associate this with my mother.

TeaDrinker3000
>>118006228

@AJ oh come on really? The last third has it's issues (like the fucking rocket lmao) but I'd say it is up to the same quality as the middle section, which personally I actually found a bit dull in comparison to many aspects of the last 12 episodes. Also the final two episodes are incredible with some of the best voice acting I've heard in anything. Just my two cents though.

TeaDrinker3000
>>118014178

I can imagine the girls bringing out a 30dollar a month tier, just to reeeeaaally milk some of us for all we're worth 😂

Robert H.
>>118014233

I don't think anyone on Patreon here knows about it, but it's pretty well known among my circle of acquaintances because I've been (and am) very upset about it at work and with my friends.

Karabo

Lol glad The Wire was not the culprit of destroying you this day

Kara
>>118014178

movie reactions i would like to see: Parasite, Ex Machina, The Grand Budapest Hotel (any Wes Anderson really), Everything Everywhere All At Once, Spider-Verse (both movies), Blade Runner 2049, Knives Out, Gone Girl, Scott Pilgrim, anything Ghibli (Spirited Away), Hot Fuzz

TeaDrinker3000
>>118014233

Robert I'm really sorry to hear that. That's unbelievably awful and I'm so sorry you and the rest of your family have to go through that. I just want you to know that I love all your comments and you seem like you'd be a really cool person IRL, so for what it's worth you're very much appreciated here.

JATLA
>>118014233

Sorry to hear what you and your brother are going through and about your father passing. I hope time heals some of the pain

JATLA
>>118006228

I love Lelouch, it’s a bit sad that LM will never react to code geass (even though I understand why and wouldn’t recommend it to them myself as I feel like it has a lot of stuff they hate/aren’t interested in) But still I’d love to see them react to that final episode😅

JATLA

I’m on holidays and just woke up hungover and watched the whole 2 and a half hours, the wine was turning my stomach a bit😂 But otherwise, it was great seeing a video like this, yous kept joking about not being interesting and why would people still be here this long, but i loved every minute of it, very podcast-like and it was a cool switch up from the usual videos. Would definitely like more Q&A/podcasts in the future🥂

JATLA
>>118014178

@TeaDrinker3000, we’d probably still pay that too😭😂

sand_fl

okay, let me just make leave one fucking long comment about the rest of the video that i watched while having breakfast and on my way to work. first of all... i'm being 100% honest when i say i could listen to you taking about taylor swift for hours before getting bored. i love taylor, she's my favourite and i've listened to her music for more than half of my life. i'm an evermore girlie but folklore is a close second. i think it's funny when people can't name a top three because for me it's easily treacherous, you're on your own, kid and the other side of the door (honourable mention to illicit affairs). i mean, i love all her albums and there's few songs that i don't enjoy, but those three are bangers. i also love all the songs you mentioned. thoughts on the alcott lola? i'm seeing her life for the first time on the eras tour. the tickets were a bitch to get and expensive as fuck 💀 my friend and i got tickets in lisbon but we almost got them in amsterdam and poland. one of my other friends is seeing her in poland. blondie's making us travel. second. i mention this every time you speak spanish but you're spanish is quite good. an milena, your accent in spanish is great, you probably just need to work more on the grammar and vocabulary. of you two ever need help just dm me here or on twitter. i actually teach some english so i don't think it'd be too difficult to try to help you with spanish. lol, my older siblings live in switzerland too. ny brother in zurich and my sister in berna. i visited but it was eons ago. i really want to travel more but i'm poor lol. i was going to amsterdam in november to see hozier but there's no more tickets left so i guess another time. florence was definitely my favourite part of italy but rome was great too. and i'd love to visit edinburgh too. hope your girlfriend gives in and you get a puppy soon. if you do we need them in the videos. lola, i feel you, if something happened to lexa i would be crushed for years too. i do think though that a kitten would cheer you up imesnly because they're the cutest. and there's more shit but i'm going to stop before people start commenting to tell me to shut up already. but it's been really fun and i missed your videos so much because it's been a hectic summer and i'm so behind with your reactions it's crazy but it's always so warm and comforting to "hang out" in the comment section ❤️❤️ hope you're not too hungover ☺️

Orr Malus

The camera keeps losing focus. I bet it's doing it on purpose.

Robert H.
>>118017193

@David Home office right now, but I need to be productive from 2-8pm now. I want to get my code reworked today. Bondarescu, Lundgren and Macas published a very interesting paper last week and I want to incorporate their glitch model into my research.

Camzeee

I really, really enjoyed this! Thanks Lola and Milena for indulging us in just hours of you guys talking about random things. Considering what Lola has said about ideal travel destinations, come to Malta (where I live)! It's a beautiful place, good beaches/water spots, people speak English. I'd be more than happy to show you around as well :)

HenryM
>>118014233

I'm sorry to hear that man, I just want you to know I appreciate all the write ups you do when giving timestamps on videos! Hope you're doing well

TeaDrinker3000

If we're going down the rabbit hole of the girls getting drunk and doing unedited podcasts for us patrons: can you IMAGINE them playing Portal?!?! Given their limited knowledge of video games but also the fact that realistically anyone 'can' play that game, and the two of them getting more drunk and confused and serbian as they get stuck in puzzles. It would be fucking hilarious 😂

Kara
>>118014178

I think they mentioned they watched Get Out already otherwise it'd be on my list

Axel

Totally agree about Death Note. I loved that show when I was like 16-17, but rewatching it in my 20s was rough. Did not hold up at all (the premise is still very cool tho).

Orr Malus
>>118021170

Milena needs to play Amnesia The Dark Descent. A complete playthrough is what's missing from everyone's lives. It just needs to happen.

Kaycee

Yea I was the one who asked about death note and I completely agree. I loved death note when I was 17 it was like the second anime I ever watched but rewatching it at like 23 with you guys I liked it a lot less lol maybe people who are just starting anime would like it

This definitely felt like a podcast more than Q&A but it was pretty entertaining. It feels we know more about you guys than before..btw you are better person than me Lola, I will admit than I’m selfish I wouldn’t help strangers or people willingly. I would only help people I care about but I hope to change that one day..anyways I hope the next Q&A is a live one only for patreons but idk how you guys would feel about streaming yourself live but is an idea I will put out there anyways :P

Lola: I've gotten a lot of random instagram requests recently, it's a little strange Also Lola, out loud, on the internet: I'm single by the way Oh Lord no, your poor dm requests NOW...

It's easily a top 10 show. Its a much better show than breaking bad which is ridiculously overrated.

Sosa

the greatest to ever do it btw

omg LOTR yaaaaaas

I just hit play while I work and it was really fun, I love seeing you guys talking about anything, and I have to say, Serbian is a really cool language, it feels like you guys are speaking Dothraki haha

We are here for the reaction of YOUR NAME and films from Studio Ghibli (Spirit Away) but be careful with copyright....and a good place to start with films is with Oscar-nominated classics that you haven't seen yet

also my uncle was photography director for Pride and Prejudice, so cool to hear its a fav of yours

I think you guys have said you don’t play games, but I highly recommend watching even a cutscene/story compilation video on Red Dead Redemption 2 in your own time. If you love Thorfinn and redemption arcs, I can honestly say that the story and protagonist of that game is exceptional!!

N'awww, now that there's a lot of us regulars here a lot, it really does feel like we've a little community going on ❤️ I really look forward to hearing from the regulars in the comments and I'm glad the girls do too. And seeing all the engaged/mutlitple comments on a video as fun and chill as this too was really great! I don't know if the girls would maybe try do a livestream sometime but if we were all commenting live and interacting with the girls and each other in the livestream-comments that could be really fun. We could all be drinking in our respective timezones 😂 I've actually been in a great mood today just after the vibe of the video and the comments as well. LM Gang 👊

“It’s not going to be clean, if you want this {Q&A videos} more often it’s not going to be clean and cut.” Good, give it to me all sloppy I love it

Sebastian

@TeaDrinker3000 Perhaps. It's probably the fact that L was still around and that the 3 or so episodes leading up to his demise were so great that I end up thinking it was better than it truly is. I do agree that the introduction of Misa really dragged the show down. However, the final third was just boring and I struggled to care about any of the new characters, and by that point it had lost everything that made the earlier parts of the show so compelling; the writing, the tension, the story beats, etc..

@fionan franklin I've seen Monster, too. It hasn't changed my opinion. @Payam Shafiri That's fair enough. I don't see it that way, but I understand where you're coming from. It's not the first time I've heard something like this lol. I'll probably check out Vinland Saga in the future.

I guess I understand why it would tick you off, seeing as this arises out of a deep personal trauma. However, it's weird to be angry about something as harmless as astrology. Ghosts and aliens, too? I have a science background and none of these things bother me, so this doesn't have much to do with ''scientific principles'', whatever those are..

I liked Milena's aggressive pointing. Also I believe you were thinking of the word blunt when talking about weed. You two tried to roll up a blunt.

Patrick

Dumping my thoughts on death note but its main problem is it has a very strong start and a great dynamic but then it really starts to stretch itself too thin. The granular battle between them has such high stakes at the beginning but it can’t keep up that level of tension so it becomes more about the dramatic moments. This wasn’t my opinion until the last few years since I’m older and reassess it. I was riding high on it but then realised it was mostly because of the beginning and I don’t care for much in the middle or end.

Super shocked

Still getting the Wire tonight?

It's a spliff / joint if it has tobacco in it too, but yeah.

Tia

I really enjoyed this! And I am beyond ecstatic to hear you guys plan on reacting to movies at some point!!

itoto

I definitely want you to watch “Your Name.”

JATLA
>>118065430

Yeah in Europe mostly we say joint for weed + tobacco and blunt for just weed, I think in America it’s the opposite

Chinese rice

A movie recommendation: "Amores Perros". I recently rewatch it and I appreciate it much more now that I'm older.

sleepymiffi

THIS WAS SO FUN TO WATCH! i was cleaning my room while listening to this with my headphones on, very nice. also, if you’re gonna watch movies pleaseeee consider A Silent Voice, i just know you guys will love it, it’s a very beautiful story.

PoorHector

Unsolicited book recommendation. Jade City by Fonda Lee would be right up your alley. Family focused drama like "The Godfather" but with magic powers.

David Brown

pleaseeee consider Your NAME!!!

Angela Zhu

Have you guys ever considered watching neon genesis evangelion or chainsaw man?

Jesse S

Lol you guys said Last american dynasty is your favourite Taylor song it’s also my favourite!!!

Will
