Only 12 more episodes after this one. Dreading 6 weeks time when the series will be finished, I'm really cherishing each episode as it comes. Assuming the editing process for the next two episodes doesn't actually murder Lola, that is.

yes you did recognize cheese.. who is apparently Randys father, which can also make things that happen to randy more sad when he does have family but had to go through foster homes.. and prop joe would be his great uncle.. these last episodes of the season, do a great job of bringing every kind of emotion out of ya and are just top tier of television

I love that Lester and Bunk do good cop / bad cop with Herc and even as a fucking police officer he's still too stupid to realise. "What's gotten into him?" Good contrast to the absolutely trash interrogation Herc did on Little Kevin that was so bad it made Sydnor leave the room

I'd also recommend not doing them both on the same day if possible. Besides the 13 being a longer episode, I suspect there's going to be a lot to decompress in each one.

Well here we are. So many moving pieces on the board now and the way this show manages to bring it all together with all these story lines that are separate yet also so very connected is magical. Don't have time to run through everything now but damn did Herc drop the bag on this one. He's so dumb and short sighted it hurts but he's an important character because it does show what an effect one incompetent cop can have let alone the systematic failure of the whole department. Also unrelated but if you ever decide to react to movies can I suggest Moonlight? Absolutely beautiful (although at times tough to watch) film that has a bit in common with The Wire and I think you two would love it

It's worth noting that while Herc DID fuck up, a hearty "fuck you" can also go to the other homicide cop who was beefing with Bunk, and threw away Carver's message. If he had done his job, Bunk would have been expecting Herc to contact him, and would almost certainly have followed up (that doesn't excuse Herc letting it slip that Randy snitched)

I've been experimenting the whole series so far and got to "document.querySelector('video').playbackRate=0.9589999999" with no sync issues. Yours is probably closer. Good to see that I managed to get so close lol.

Absolutely. That's one of those brilliant subtle moments that the Wire is great at, where the actions of one character who seemingly has no connection to another character, can totally impact their life on a large scale.

@Gumbot you need to hit play on the patreon video, let it load at least for a second. After that, right click the video and click on Inspect. In the window that pops up, look for a button called Console. The Console window should have an input box at the bottom. Paste it there and hit Enter. You will know you have done it correctly when the next line reads 0.9591.

Here's one way to fix it: If you're on a PC, start the reaction video and right click it, then click on inspect. Then go to the console tab in the new window that popped up and copy paste this into the input box at the bottom: document.querySelector('video').playbackRate = 0.95910 and hit enter. After that you can close the inspect window. Now it should stay in sync. If you're on mobile I don't know how it can be fixed.
